also_o to_o call_v together_o all_o their_o family_n and_o to_o be_v their_o mouth_n unto_o god_n in_o prayer_n unto_o which_o they_o may_v be_v encourage_v by_o god_n gracious_a promise_n â—0_n that_o where_o two_o or_o three_o be_v gather_v together_o in_o christ_n name_n there_o he_o will_v be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o they_o 3_o a_o master_n of_o a_o family_n by_o his_o daily_a offer_v up_o a_o morning_n and_o evening_n sacrifice_n of_o prayer_n and_o praise_n will_v make_v his_o house_n a_o house_n of_o prayer_n or_o little_a temple_n which_o god_n will_v fill_v with_o his_o presence_n yea_o a_o christian_n house_n be_v hereby_o make_v god_n church_n by_o a_o constant_a performance_n of_o holy_a duty_n which_o be_v a_o great_a honour_n unto_o a_o family_n 4_o family-prayer_n be_v a_o special_a mean_n to_o bring_v down_o god_n blessing_n upon_o the_o whole_a family_n 11._o and_o upon_o all_o their_o lawful_a undertake_n as_o god_n bless_v the_o house_n of_o obed-edom_n for_o the_o ark_n sake_n so_o will_v god_n bless_v those_o family_n in_o which_o his_o name_n be_v call_v upon_o for_o godliness_n be_v profitable_a unto_o all_o thing_n as_o well_o in_o family_n as_o in_o any_o other_o society_n 5_o another_o argument_n may_v be_v take_v from_o the_o danger_n of_o neglect_v this_o duty_n of_o family-prayer_n for_o such_o do_v incur_v the_o danger_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o fury_n 25._o pour_v out_o thy_o fury_n upon_o the_o heathen_a that_o know_v thou_o not_o and_o upon_o the_o family_n that_o call_v not_o upon_o thy_o name_n say_v the_o prophet_n jeremiah_n which_o word_n contain_v a_o fearful_a imprecation_n against_o all_o prayerless-family_n and_o it_o be_v observable_a that_o such_o as_o neglect_v this_o duty_n of_o prayer_n in_o their_o family_n be_v join_v with_o the_o heathen_a and_o true_o very_o fit_o for_o wherein_o do_v they_o differ_v from_o the_o heathen_n who_o have_v not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o form_n of_o godliness_n in_o their_o family_n upon_o who_o god_n will_v power_n out_o his_o fury_n oh_o think_v of_o this_o all_o you_o who_o make_v no_o conscience_n of_o pray_v daily_o with_o your_o family_n consider_v it_o well_o and_o lay_v it_o to_o heart_n be_v you_o not_o under_o that_o prophetical_a curse_n and_o liable_a to_o the_o pour_v forth_o of_o god_n wrath_n and_o fury_n both_o upon_o yourselves_o and_o upon_o all_o that_o belong_v unto_o you_o even_o your_o wife_n your_o child_n your_o servant_n yea_o and_o very_a ware_n and_o good_n it_o may_v well_o be_v write_v upon_o the_o door_n of_o such_o house_n as_o one_o say_v lord_n have_v mercy_n on_o we_o for_o sure_o the_o plague_n of_o god_n be_v not_o far_o from_o they_o but_o nigh_o unto_o they_o obj._n i_o think_v i_o hear_v some_o say_n they_o be_v convince_v of_o the_o necessity_n of_o the_o duty_n and_o fain_o they_o will_v do_v it_o but_o oh_o they_o can_v they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o pray_v answ._n i_o will_v advise_v such_o rather_o to_o read_v some_o good_a prayer_n than_o altogether_o to_o omit_v the_o duty_n for_o many_o master_n of_o family_n who_o be_v not_o able_a to_o conceive_v a_o prayer_n of_o themselves_o yet_o if_o they_o meet_v with_o a_o form_n of_o prayer_n answerable_a to_o their_o occasion_n can_v pray_v hearty_o and_o earnest_o yet_o i_o will_v not_o have_v they_o ever_o content_v themselves_o with_o read_v a_o form_n of_o prayer_n but_o to_o labour_v to_o pray_v of_o themselves_o without_o a_o book_n and_o for_o your_o help_n therein_o take_v these_o two_o direction_n 1_o careful_o observe_v the_o prayer_n of_o other_o their_o order_n and_o method_n 2_o take_v notice_n of_o your_o own_o sin_n in_o particular_a and_o of_o your_o particular_a want_n what_o grace_n you_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o and_o desire_v as_o also_o take_v notice_n of_o the_o particular_a blessing_n god_n bestow_v on_o you_o and_o thereby_o you_o will_v be_v enable_v in_o glory_n be_v it_o if_o when_o you_o be_v buffet_v for_o your_o fault_n you_o take_v it_o patient_o but_o if_o when_o you_o do_v well_o and_o suffer_v for_o it_o you_o take_v it_o patient_o this_o be_v acceptable_a with_o god_n and_o if_o unjust_a correction_n ought_v patient_o to_o be_v bear_v then_o much_o more_o unjust_a reproof_n but_o if_o the_o reproof_n or_o correction_n be_v just_a than_o of_o heart_n do_v service_n to_o your_o master_n in_o the_o sincerity_n of_o your_o heart_n without_o any_o hypocrisy_n or_o dissimulation_n labour_v in_o your_o master_n absence_n as_o well_o as_o in_o his_o presence_n remember_v god_n eye_n be_v ever_o upon_o you_o 2_o your_o obedience_n must_v be_v conscientious_a for_o conscience_n sake_n because_o the_o lord_n require_v it_o at_o your_o
