fall_v upon_o we_o return_v unto_o our_o lord_n god_n with_o all_o contrition_n and_o meekness_n of_o heart_n bewail_v and_o lament_v our_o sinful_a life_n acknowledge_v and_o confess_v our_o offence_n and_o seek_v to_o bring_v forth_o worthy_a fruit_n of_o penance_n then_o our_o afflict_a ourselves_o our_o mourning_n our_o weep_n our_o heaviness_n and_o all_o the_o bodily_a exercise_n before_o name_v will_v profit_v not_o a_o little_a but_o be_v so_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n that_o he_o will_v give_v we_o the_o great_a blessing_n even_o perfect_a remission_n and_o forgiveness_n as_o we_o pray_v in_o the_o collect_n for_o this_o season_n when_o these_o bodily_a exercise_n be_v the_o effect_n of_o true_a contrition_n of_o spirit_n and_o when_o they_o be_v earnest_n of_o a_o new_a life_n and_o a_o mean_n we_o use_v to_o accustom_v ourselves_o to_o sobriety_n to_o self-denial_n to_o retirement_n to_o shake_v off_o bad_a company_n to_o devotion_n to_o self-examination_n to_o meditation_n to_o pity_n and_o commiseration_n of_o the_o want_n of_o other_o to_o charity_n and_o work_n of_o mercy_n then_o will_v the_o lord_n have_v mercy_n upon_o we_o as_o the_o prophet_n speak_v and_o he_o will_v multiply_v to_o pardon_v lv_o isa_n 7._o but_o let_v all_o those_o especial_o who_o true_o fear_v god_n among_o we_o apply_v themselves_o with_o all_o seriousness_n to_o this_o much_o neglect_a duty_n for_o other_o i_o doubt_v unless_o they_o be_v force_v to_o it_o will_v not_o regard_v these_o admonition_n let_v it_o not_o content_v they_o that_o they_o do_v not_o follow_v the_o bad_a in_o their_o ungodly_a practice_n but_o let_v they_o also_o lament_v the_o scandal_n which_o they_o give_v and_o bewail_v the_o deplorable_a estate_n of_o
