man_n that_o be_v devout_a and_o godly_a in_o truth_n and_o in_o deed_n they_o can_v abide_v he_o but_o hate_v he_o now_o if_o the_o law_n shall_v come_v home_o unto_o they_o and_o discover_v how_o indeed_o it_o be_v with_o they_o it_o will_v humble_v their_o soul_n and_o pull_v down_o their_o spirit_n and_o make_v they_o dead_a so_o that_o this_o presumptuous_a hope_n that_o man_n be_v in_o good_a term_n with_o god_n and_o that_o god_n will_v be_v merciful_a to_o they_o and_o forgive_v they_o their_o sin_n this_o make_v they_o to_o be_v alive_a 2._o we_o come_v now_o to_o the_o second_o thing_n and_o that_o be_v the_o effect_n of_o this_o liveliness_n what_o effect_n it_o work_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o the_o effect_n of_o this_o liveliness_n be_v four_n 1._o first_o it_o make_v they_o sound_a and_o heart-whole_a like_o a_o boyl_n unlaunce_v it_o be_v yet_o sound_a the_o true_a sight_n of_o sin_n and_o wrath_n of_o god_n in_o the_o soul_n be_v able_a to_o break_v the_o heart_n of_o any_o man_n it_o be_v able_a to_o dead_a his_o spirit_n and_o kill_v all_o the_o liveliness_n that_o be_v in_o he_o and_o make_v he_o have_v little_a life_n to_o go_v on_o as_o he_o do_v when_o he_o will_v pull_v he_o down_o he_o shut_v he_o up_o and_o lay_v he_o in_o the_o prison_n and_o in_o the_o gaol_n and_o he_o have_v no_o way_n to_o get_v out_o he_o be_v a_o dead_a man_n and_o there_o be_v no_o way_n to_o get_v out_o no_o evasion_n to_o escape_v but_o still_o he_o be_v a_o dead_a man_n and_o a_o damn_a man_n he_o can_v open_v his_o mouth_n any_o more_o ezek._n 16._o 63._o he_o his_o utter_a inability_n to_o the_o performance_n of_o any_o good_a duty_n the_o pharisee_n will_v to_o the_o temple_n as_o well_o as_o the_o publican_n saul_n will_v sacrifice_v as_o well_o as_o samuel_n profane_a people_n will_v take_v up_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n as_o if_o they_o have_v life_n to_o go_v through_o they_o as_o well_o as_o the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o when_o the_o law_n come_v it_o plain_o convince_v a_o man_n it_o make_v he_o feel_v and_o understand_v that_o he_o have_v no_o activity_n or_o life_n to_o perform_v any_o thing_n please_v to_o almighty_a god_n a_o dead_a man_n can_v do_v nothing_o he_o be_v cut_v off_o from_o all_o the_o action_n of_o the_o live_n dead_a man_n they_o can_v devise_v aught_o they_o can_v purpose_v aught_o they_o can_v work_v aught_o so_o when_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v charge_v upon_o a_o man_n and_o show_v he_o that_o he_o be_v but_o a_o dead_a man_n and_o a_o damn_a man_n now_o he_o see_v he_o can_v as_o well_o create_v a_o world_n as_o make_v a_o prayer_n he_o can_v as_o well_o remove_v a_o mountain_n as_o do_v any_o thing_n acceptable_a to_o god_n such_o a_o man_n will_v say_v i_o be_o a_o dry_a tree_n
