they_o then_o sigh_v and_o cry_v unto_o god_n and_o he_o hear_v they_o for_o that_o they_o then_o desire_v to_o be_v bear_v withal_o and_o to_o be_v release_v from_o some_o of_o their_o misery_n god_o show_v that_o they_o ought_v also_o to_o do_v the_o like_a and_o this_o contain_v a_o good_a and_o profitable_a doctrine_n namely_o that_o when_o we_o look_v unto_o ourselves_o we_o may_v the_o better_o be_v induce_v to_o acquit_v ourselves_o of_o our_o duty_n and_o contrary_a wise_a when_o we_o become_v cruel_a towards_o our_o neighbour_n this_o be_v because_o we_o be_v become_v drunken_a heed_n than_o we_o ought_v to_o bear_v in_o mind_n this_o place_n wherein_o the_o lord_n see_v we_o so_o blind_a so_o give_v to_o the_o love_n of_o ourselves_o so_o well_o content_v to_o be_v plunge_v in_o our_o own_o delight_n &_o pleasure_n so_o careless_a of_o they_o which_o endure_v penury_n and_o be_v in_o necessity_n expostulate_v with_o we_o in_o this_o wise_a and_o what_o be_v you_o have_v you_o never_o be_v in_o any_o necessity_n and_o when_o you_o overflow_v your_o bank_n in_o your_o wicked_a deal_n against_o they_o have_v you_o no_o care_n to_o think_v behold_v these_o creature_n be_v form_v to_o the_o image_n of_o god_n if_o we_o commit_v any_o outrage_n against_o they_o shall_v god_n take_v pity_n of_o we_o let_v we_o then_o practice_v this_o doctrine_n in_o our_o whole_a life_n and_o as_o often_o as_o we_o shall_v see_v any_o oppress_v with_o misery_n let_v we_o remember_v to_o say_v go_v to_o have_v not_o i_o be_v in_o necessity_n aswell_o as_o they_o and_o if_o now_o i_o be_v in_o the_o same_o estate_n will_v i_o not_o desire_v to_o be_v succour_v see_v then_o it_o be_v so_o ought_v we_o to_o exempt_v ourselves_o out_o of_o such_o a_o condition_n at_o least_o let_v we_o do_v to_o a_o other_o as_o we_o will_v that_o one_o shall_v do_v unto_o we_o for_o nature_n have_v teach_v we_o this_o and_o we_o need_v not_o to_o go_v to_o school_n to_o learn_v it_o there_o shall_v need_v then_o no_o other_o evidence_n to_o condemn_v we_o than_o this_o which_o our_o lord_n have_v already_o show_v we_o by_o experience_n when_o we_o shall_v bear_v in_o mind_n to_o come_v thus_o with_o our_o own_o heart_n without_o all_o doubt_n we_o shall_v be_v touch_v with_o some_o pity_n to_o help_v they_o which_o stand_v in_o need_n and_o necessity_n and_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v move_v to_o compassion_n see_v they_o endure_v misery_n so_o that_o if_o we_o have_v the_o power_n and_o ability_n to_o succour_v and_o relieve_v they_o every_o one_o of_o we_o will_v employ_v himself_o herein_o you_o see_v then_o what_o we_o have_v to_o note_v upon_o this_o place_n when_o it_o be_v say_v thou_o be_v a_o stranger_n in_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n it_o behove_v therefore_o that_o now_o thou_o also_o ease_v they_o which_o be_v under_o thy_o hand_n for_o when_o thou_o be_v a_o servant_n thou_o can_v have_v be_v very_o willing_a that_o one_o shall_v have_v to_o walk_v in_o all_o equity_n and_o uprightness_n with_o our_o neighbour_n and_o that_o we_o live_v together_o in_o such_o concord_n and_o fellowship_n that_o any_o one_o be_v not_o give_v unto_o himself_o but_o that_o we_o communicate_v together_o and_o that_o every_o one_o according_a to_o his_o ability_n and_o power_n to_o do_v well_o employ_v and_o force_v himself_o thereunto_o this_o say_v i_o be_v the_o proof_n which_o god_n make_v to_o know_v whether_o we_o worship_v he_o unfeigned_o and_o from_o our_o heart_n for_o we_o may_v make_v many_o fair_a countenance_n and_o use_v neighbour_n except_o they_o be_v lead_v hereunto_o by_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n now_o let_v we_o handle_v this_o commandment_n last_o recite_v which_o concern_v the_o honour_n of_o father_n and_o mother_n and_o here_o although_o express_o mention_v be_v make_v of_o the_o father_n and_o the_o mother_n there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o god_o mean_v to_o deliver_v a_o general_a doctrine_n of_o have_v all_o superiority_n in_o honour_n for_o grant_v we_o which_o must_v needs_o be_v confess_v that_o the_o law_n contain_v a_o perfect_a rule_n of_o doctrine_n wherein_o nothing_o be_v want_v and_o this_o which_o we_o have_v say_v must_v needs_o be_v so_o for_o if_o it_o have_v not_o touch_v any_o thing_n of_o the_o duty_n we_o owe_v to_o other_o superior_n as_o prince_n and_o magistrate_n and_o those_o which_o have_v the_o sword_n of_o justice_n if_o it_o have_v deliver_v nothing_o concern_v master_n it_o shall_v have_v some_o default_n in_o it_o therefore_o we_o must_v conclude_v that_o god_n have_v command_v that_o all_o they_o which_o be_v in_o any_o degree_n of_o honour_n and_o authority_n be_v honour_v and_o obey_v moreover_o see_v all_o preeminence_n and_o superiority_n come_v from_o god_n and_o that_o this_o order_n be_v establish_v and_o appoint_v by_o he_o without_o the_o which_o the_o world_n can_v not_o stand_v what_o may_v be_v think_v if_o god_n make_v no_o account_n of_o this_o when_o he_o give_v forth_o a_o certain_a form_n of_o live_v well_o and_o in_o all_o holiness_n neither_o ought_v we_o to_o account_v it_o strange_a that_o under_o one_o special_a know_v that_o albeit_o man_n desire_v to_o seem_v subtle_a and_o sharp_a witted_a yet_o cease_v they_o not_o always_o to_o cover_v themselves_o with_o the_o buckler_n of_o ignorance_n if_o we_o may_v espy_v that_o the_o law_n of_o god_n press_v we_o over_o sore_o we_o will_v feign_v have_v some_o excuse_n to_o exempt_v ourselves_o from_o the_o subjection_n of_o it_o and_o if_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v not_o apt_a and_o convenient_a to_o instruct_v the_o rude_a and_o ignorant_a many_o will_v allege_v that_o they_o be_v no_o great_a clerk_n that_o they_o never_o go_v to_o school_n it_o shall_v seem_v then_o that_o the_o law_n of_o god_n may_v not_o bind_v they_o but_o when_o we_o see_v that_o god_n abase_v himself_o to_o our_o rudeness_n and_o that_o he_o speak_v gross_o according_a to_o our_o capacity_n this_o take_v from_o we_o all_o excuse_n this_o remove_v all_o pretence_n whatsoever_o and_o every_o one_o be_v bind_v to_o order_n himself_o aright_o and_o we_o all_o must_v confess_v that_o there_o be_v nothing_o which_o hinder_v we_o from_o do_v our_o duty_n but_o that_o we_o be_v rebellious_a against_o god_n and_o will_v not_o bear_v his_o yoke_n lo_o why_o under_o one_o kind_n god_n comprehend_v the_o whole_a that_o he_o may_v instruct_v &_o train_v we_o up_o like_o young_a child_n which_o be_v not_o capable_a nor_o apt_a to_o be_v teach_v after_o some_o every_o one_o think_v he_o ought_v to_o be_v a_o master_n how_o ever_o it_o be_v it_o be_v hard_o for_o man_n to_o live_v under_o until_o god_n order_v they_o to_o this_o humility_n to_o submit_v themselves_o in_o all_o simplicity_n of_o obedience_n unto_o they_o which_o have_v any_o authority_n over_o they_o god_n then_o see_v nothing_o more_o contrary_a unto_o our_o nature_n than_o effect_n what_o god_n mean_v by_o this_o word_n of_o honour_n to_o prove_v this_o to_o be_v so_o can_v we_o have_v a_o better_a and_o more_o faithful_a expositor_n of_o the_o law_n than_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o speak_v by_o the_o mouth_n of_o moses_n and_o of_o all_o the_o prophet_n and_o namely_o by_o saint_n paul_n for_o we_o shall_v see_v hereafter_o that_o god_o have_v declare_v the_o summary_n and_o content_n of_o this_o sentence_n namely_o that_o it_o suffice_v not_o that_o the_o child_n yield_v some_o reverence_n to_o their_o father_n and_o mother_n with_o cap_n and_o knee_n but_o that_o they_o be_v subject_a unto_o they_o and_o employ_v themselves_o to_o serve_v and_o obey_v they_o as_z much_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v able_a and_o saint_n paul_n allege_v not_o this_o touch_v the_o body_n also_o of_o man_n this_o honour_n than_o be_v proper_a to_o god_n alone_o to_o be_v call_v father_n neither_o can_v it_o agree_v unto_o man_n but_o so_o far_o as_o it_o please_v he_o to_o communicate_v this_o name_n unto_o they_o now_o see_v this_o title_n of_o father_n be_v as_o a_o mark_n which_o god_n have_v imprint_v in_o man_n we_o see_v that_o if_o child_n make_v no_o account_n of_o father_n and_o mother_n they_o do_v wrong_a and_o injury_n unto_o god_n as_o much_o be_v to_o be_v say_v of_o they_o which_o obey_v not_o their_o prince_n and_o magistrate_n of_o word_n of_o piety_n or_o godliness_n to_o the_o honour_n which_o we_o geve_v to_o father_n &_o mother_n and_o to_o all_o they_o which_o be_v in_o authority_n over_o we_o piety_n or_o godliness_n to_o magnify_v and_o set_v forth_o the_o name_n and_o glory_n of_o god_n to_o cause_v that_o he_o be_v honour_v as_o he_o deserve_v but_o they_o draw_v clean_o backward_o herein_o they_o will_v set_v up_o and_o make_v themselves_o idol_n even_o to_o pluck_v god_n as_o it_o be_v cut_v of_o his_o seat_n to_o place_v themselves_o therein_o one_o shall_v see_v this_o at_o the_o least_o one_o shall_v see_v the_o prince_n reign_n and_o bear_v rule_v licentious_o even_o with_o all_o the_o reins_n of_o the_o bridle_n loose_v and_o god_n therefore_o must_v needs_o revenge_v himself_o of_o they_o as_o for_o father_n and_o mother_n what_o zeal_n have_v they_o to_o instruct_v their_o child_n in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n all_o be_v one_o with_o they_o so_o they_o may_v advance_v and_o set_v they_o up_o in_o that_o the_o life_n of_o our_o neighbour_n be_v dear_a and_o precious_a unto_o we_o he_o teach_v we_o withal_o that_o he_o which_o shall_v not_o aid_v and_o help_v his_o neighbour_n in_o their_o see_v it_o be_v so_o we_o must_v not_o in_o this_o place_n seek_v how_o to_o flatter_v ourselves_o for_o we_o see_v what_o the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n be_v albeit_o in_o no_o point_n excessive_a for_o can_v we_o so_o refuse_v and_o take_v our_o leave_n of_o god_o as_o not_o to_o be_v knit_v and_o unite_v together_o with_o man_n who_o he_o have_v create_v to_o his_o own_o image_n and_o despiteful_o handle_v we_o will_v endeavour_n as_o far_o as_o we_o be_v able_a to_o quit_v he_o with_o the_o like_a and_o if_o we_o use_v no_o extreme_a and_o violent_a stercenesse_n we_o think_v we_o may_v well_o be_v pardon_v be_v we_o more_o abuse_v we_o draw_v our_o dagger_n and_o we_o strike_v our_o neighbour_n but_o it_o shall_v be_v but_o one_o blow_n and_o no_o deadly_a wound_n give_v and_o then_o we_o think_v there_o be_v no_o murder_n commit_v behold_v how_o man_n dispense_v with_o themselves_o and_o why_o be_v this_o because_o they_o think_v of_o no_o other_o thing_n but_o how_o to_o wrong_n of_o strike_v and_o beat_v our_o neighbour_n of_o conceive_v any_o hate_n or_o despite_n against_o they_o we_o set_v murder_v always_o before_o our_o eye_n and_o think_v poor_a and_o full_o fraught_v with_o wicked_a lust_n and_o affection_n which_o of_o necessity_n must_v first_o be_v root_v out_o as_o a_o ground_n which_o be_v full_a of_o thorn_n and_o brier_n must_v first_o before_o it_o can_v be_v sow_v be_v plough_v up_o and_o rid_v of_o all_o his_o weed_n as_o we_o have_v above_o say_v so_o be_v it_o behooveful_a and_o expedient_a that_o we_o be_v purge_v of_o the_o
