that_o the_o difference_n do_v not_o relate_v mere_o unto_o the_o different_a state_n of_o the_o person_n by_o who_o such_o be_v perform_v as_o because_o one_o be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n spiritual_a sloth_n and_o other_o deceitful_a imagination_n but_o he_o that_o will_v ever_o be_v purge_v from_o his_o sin_n must_v thus_o far_o make_v bold_a with_o himself_o and_o dare_v to_o be_v thus_o far_o wise._n and_o in_o the_o use_n of_o the_o mean_v before_o prescribe_v consider_v his_o own_o darkness_n and_o the_o treachery_n of_o his_o heart_n he_o be_v to_o pray_v fervent_o that_o god_n by_o his_o spirit_n will_v guide_v and_o assist_v he_o in_o his_o search_n after_o the_o pravity_n and_o defilement_n of_o his_o nature_n without_o this_o he_o will_v never_o make_v any_o do_v confess_v it_o be_v but_o little_a of_o they_o which_o i_o can_v comprehend_v it_o be_v a_o matter_n indeed_o often_o speak_v unto_o but_o the_o essence_n and_o true_a nature_n of_o it_o be_v much_o hide_v from_o the_o eye_n of_o all_o live_a man_n the_o sense_n of_o what_o the_o scripture_n propose_v what_o i_o believe_v and_o what_o i_o desire_v a_o experience_n of_o that_o i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o declare_v but_o as_o we_o be_v not_o in_o this_o life_n perfect_a in_o the_o duty_n of_o holiness_n no_o more_o be_v we_o in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o its_o nature_n first_o the_o ruin_n of_o deprave_a nature_n as_o of_o justice_n temperance_n fortitude_n and_o the_o like_a hence_o god_n call_v on_o profligate_v sinner_n to_o remember_v and_o show_v themselves_o man_n or_o not_o to_o act_v contrary_a to_o the_o principle_n and_o light_n of_o nature_n which_o be_v inseparable_a from_o we_o as_o we_o be_v man_n isa._n 46._o 8._o these_o principle_n may_v be_v so_o excite_v in_o the_o exercise_n of_o natural_a light_n and_o improve_v by_o education_n instruction_n and_o example_n until_o person_n by_o a_o assiduous_a diligent_a performance_n of_o the_o act_n and_o duty_n of_o they_o may_v attain_v such_o a_o readiness_n unto_o they_o and_o facility_n in_o they_o as_o be_v not_o by_o any_o outward_a mean_n easy_o change_v or_o divert_v and_o this_o be_v a_o moral_a habit_n in_o like_a manner_n in_o the_o duty_n of_o piety_n and_o religion_n in_o act_n of_o outward_a obedience_n unto_o god_n man_n by_o the_o same_o mean_n may_v so_o accustom_v themselves_o unto_o they_o as_o to_o have_v a_o habitual_a disposition_n unto_o their_o exercise_n i_o doubt_v not_o but_o that_o it_o be_v so_o unto_o a_o high_a degree_n with_o many_o before_o explain_v and_o it_o will_v quick_o appear_v how_o short_a they_o come_v thereof_o for_o as_o their_o subject_n where_o they_o have_v their_o residence_n be_v the_o mind_n only_o and_o not_o the_o will_n or_o affection_n any_o further_o but_o as_o they_o be_v influence_v or_o restrain_v by_o light_n so_o they_o do_v not_o renew_v nor_o change_v the_o mind_n itself_o so_o as_o to_o transform_v it_o into_o the_o image_n of_o god_n neither_o do_v they_o give_v the_o soul_n a_o general_a inclination_n unto_o all_o act_n and_o duty_n of_o obedience_n but_o only_o a_o readiness_n for_o that_o duty_n which_o their_o exercise_n do_v peculiar_o consist_v in_o wherefore_o they_o answer_v no_o one_o property_n of_o true_a holiness_n and_o we_o have_v not_o seldom_o see_v in_o the_o will._n intellectual_a habit_n be_v not_o immediate_o affective_a of_o good_a or_o evil_a but_o as_o the_o will_n be_v influence_v by_o they_o these_o habit_n do_v incline_v dispose_n and_o enable_v the_o will_n to_o act_v according_a to_o their_o nature_n and_o in_o all_o the_o act_n of_o our_o will_n and_o so_o all_o external_a work_n which_o proceed_v from_o they_o two_o thing_n be_v consider_v first_o the_o act_n itself_o or_o the_o work_n do_v and_o second_o the_o end_n for_o which_o it_o be_v do_v and_o both_o these_o thing_n be_v respect_v by_o the_o habit_n itself_o though_o
