and_o who_o be_v everlasting_a but_o the_o lord_n what_o have_v our_o mixture_n of_o his_o uncompoundedness_n or_o our_o bound_n and_o limit_n of_o his_o immensity_n what_o have_v our_o span_n of_o his_o eternity_n or_o what_o do_v these_o attribute_n work_v in_o the_o creature_n which_o carry_v any_o likeness_n or_o resemblance_n to_o they_o but_o his_o truth_n his_o justice_n his_o mercy_n as_o they_o shine_v in_o god_n in_o perfection_n of_o beauty_n so_o do_v they_o cast_v their_o beam_n upon_o man_n and_o kindle_v in_o they_o that_o truth_n that_o justice_n and_o mercy_n which_o we_o may_v consider_v as_o so_o many_o reflection_n from_o he_o he_o that_o love_v be_v bear_v of_o god_n say_v s._n john_n he_o that_o be_v just_a be_v like_a unto_o he_o and_o he_o that_o be_v merciful_a be_v his_o child_n and_o therefore_o the_o school_n call_v they_o virtutes_fw-la exemplares_fw-la no_o otherwise_o virtue_n in_o god_n but_o as_o they_o be_v exemplary_a because_o those_o divine_a virtue_n which_o be_v essential_a to_o he_o must_v be_v look_v upon_o by_o we_o as_o pattern_n and_o copy_n we_o must_v be_v merciful_a as_o our_o heavenly_a father_n be_v merciful_a for_o he_o be_v thus_o please_v to_o set_v up_o himself_o as_o a_o copy_n of_o that_o goodness_n which_o he_o will_v exact_v at_o our_o hand_n so_o that_o those_o pattern_n of_o holiness_n which_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o follow_v be_v to_o be_v take_v not_o only_o from_o his_o bare_a commandment_n but_o from_o the_o object_n of_o his_o will_n reveal_v i_o mean_v those_o constant_a practice_n in_o which_o he_o manife_v himself_o to_o his_o creature_n every_o day_n which_o be_v so_o many_o express_a proof_n and_o invincible_a argument_n that_o his_o will_n be_v always_o holy_a and_o just_a in_o those_o perfection_n whereof_o our_o general_a duty_n be_v the_o imperfect_a representation_n he_o that_o bid_v we_o forgive_v our_o enemy_n have_v mercy_n in_o store_n for_o they_o he_o that_o command_v we_o to_o bless_v our_o persecutor_n do_v tender_a his_o blessing_n to_o they_o that_o persecute_v he_o he_o that_o bid_v we_o be_v love_v to_o our_o neighbour_n be_v the_o father_n and_o god_n of_o love_n and_o those_o virtue_n which_o he_o work_v in_o we_o he_o make_v good_a upon_o we_o he_o make_v we_o even_o see_v and_o feel_v and_o handle_v his_o mercy_n that_o we_o may_v be_v active_a in_o those_o duty_n of_o love_n which_o we_o owe_v unto_o our_o brethren_n as_o he_o have_v make_v himself_o a_o great_a example_n of_o mercy_n so_o he_o have_v make_v we_o capable_a of_o it_o make_v we_o as_o wax_v on_o which_o his_o image_n and_o superscription_n may_v be_v write_v and_o which_o may_v receive_v those_o impression_n which_o his_o gracious_a operation_n upon_o we_o do_v natural_o work_v he_o have_v give_v we_o understanding_n to_o behold_v and_o observe_v he_o in_o those_o way_n in_o which_o he_o make_v himself_o in_o a_o manner_n visible_a to_o we_o he_o have_v give_v we_o a_o will_n which_o be_v the_o mistress_n of_o our_o action_n and_o must_v apply_v itself_o to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n reveal_v in_o his_o word_n and_o not_o to_o those_o action_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o real_a contradiction_n to_o he_o and_o as_o so_o many_o spot_n and_o defacing_n of_o his_o image_n in_o we_o now_o the_o philosopher_n will_v tell_v we_o simile_n generate_fw-la sibi_fw-la simile_n natural_o every_o thing_n produce_v that_o which_o be_v like_a unto_o it_o as_o fire_n turn_v all_o
