teach_v they_o how_o they_o shall_v keep_v and_o sanctify_v it_o according_a to_o its_o first_o institution_n see_v it_o be_v clear_a that_o he_o in_o his_o discourse_n do_v particularize_v every_o god_n and_o the_o pattern_n in_o the_o mount_n shall_v mean_v as_o one_o if_o not_o the_o chy_a of_o those_o particular_n the_o removal_n of_o the_o first-day-sabbath_n and_o the_o reversion_n of_o the_o seven_o day_n in_o lieu_n thereof_o when_o he_o know_v that_o all_o the_o divine_n and_o doctor_n that_o be_v orthodox_n and_o his_o adversary_n in_o this_o opinion_n prescribe_v the_o same_o rule_n for_o the_o reformation_n and_o call_v upon_o those_o in_o authority_n to_o subserviate_v all_o their_o own_o law_n ecclesiastical_a and_o civil_a to_o a_o observance_n of_o the_o law_n of_o take_v this_o particle_n that_o emphatical_o it_o seem_v to_o signify_v that_o there_o be_v more_o heaven_n for_o we_o suppose_v the_o visible_a heaven_n or_o inferior_a one_o be_v here_o mean_v and_o gentleman_n what_o reason_n there_o be_v why_o ה_n before_o sabbath_n and_o shebigni_n shall_v be_v more_o emphatical_a than_o before_o those_o other_o word_n in_o the_o same_o command_n sure_o that_o opinion_n want_v solid_a and_o deep_a foundation_n that_o must_v be_v uphold_v by_o such_o superficial_a and_o weak_a one_o thus_o much_o

any_o need_n or_o use_v of_o a_o jesus_n or_o a_o christ_n nor_o be_v there_o so_o much_o as_o the_o least_o hint_n of_o he_o give_v by_o either_o prophecy_n or_o promise_n much_o less_o be_v he_o himself_o in_o be_v and_o consequent_o none_o of_o these_o thing_n can_v conduce_v to_o his_o glory_n for_o there_o can_v nothing_o appertain_v to_o that_o which_o be_v not_o and_o thus_o these_o suppose_a unmoveable_a foundation_n of_o this_o tenent_n be_v find_v not_o to_o be_v so_o much_o as_o sandy_n for_o they_o be_v find_v to_o be_v nothing_o at_o all_o as_o he_o will_v have_v they_o refer_v to_o our_o lord_n christ_n we_o acknowledge_v therefore_o that_o all_o these_o particular_n which_o he_o name_v be_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o jehovah_n and_o that_o the_o observance_n of_o honour_n by_o his_o authority_n then_o be_v a_o common_a day_n common_a work_n be_v proper_a for_o it_o which_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v the_o proper_a intention_n of_o this_o expression_n to_o the_o jew_n for_o when_o they_o blame_v he_o as_o a_o tolerator_n of_o the_o profanation_n of_o the_o sabbath_n by_o his_o disciple_n he_o take_v a_o double_a medium_fw-la to_o refute_v their_o slander_n and_o so_o it_o be_v as_o if_o our_o lord_n have_v say_v pray_v that_o on_o what_o ever_o day_n your_o solemn_a rest_n for_o religious_a worship_n and_o divine_a service_n shall_v be_v that_o on_o that_o day_n your_o flight_n may_v not_o be_v for_o it_o will_v then_o be_v very_o grievous_a and_o more_o intolerable_a than_o on_o any_o day_n of_o the_o week_n and_o so_o include_v yea_o primary_o writer_n to_o speak_v of_o evangelical_n day_n and_o of_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o they_o under_o legal_a metaphor_n to_o wit_n by_o sacrifice_n by_o erect_v of_o altar_n by_o come_v up_o to_o the_o temple_n etc._n etc._n as_o all_o that_o know_v the_o style_n of_o the_o prophet_n can_v but_o be_v acquaint_v with_o because_o these_o be_v then_o the_o service_n which_o that_o people_n perform_v and_o they_o know_v no_o other_o and_o probable_o will_v not_o have_v endure_v the_o mention_v of_o any_o other_o so_o here_o our_o saviour_n speak_v indeed_o literal_o of_o the_o seventh-day-sabbath_n because_o the_o jew_n and_o his_o disciple_n who_o be_v jew_n know_v yet_o of_o no_o other_o neither_o be_v prepare_v to_o hear_v of_o the_o future_a substitute_v of_o another_o day_n in_o its_o place_n yet_o this_o do_v no_o more_o confirm_v the_o seven_o day_n to_o be_v the_o future_a sabbath_n than_o those_o other_o scriptural_a say_n do_v the_o ceremonial_a rite_n to_o be_v the_o evangelical_n worship_n or_o the_o external_a modes_n of_o serve_v god_n in_o the_o time_n of_o reformation_n and_o when_o the_o body_n and_o substance_n of_o these_o sign_n and_o figure_n be_v exhibit_v beside_o we_o say_v our_o saviour_n do_v very_o well_o foresee_v that_o many_o of_o his_o disciple_n as_o we_o know_v the_o church_n of_o galatia_n and_o colosse_n and_o those_o of_o jerusalem_n with_o james_n do_v will_v many_o year_n after_o his_o decease_n dote_v upon_o the_o judaical_a ceremony_n and_o will_v reverence_v they_o out_o of_o conscience_n to_o god_n their_o which_o their_o own_o conceit_n and_o false_a apphrehension_n of_o thing_n will_v make_v more_o grievous_a and_o burdensome_a to_o themselves_o not_o his_o injunction_n or_o the_o real_a obligation_n of_o the_o day_n and_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o common_a than_o this_o way_n of_o speak_v according_a to_o man_n apprehension_n of_o thing_n without_o any_o the_o least_o approbation_n of_o that_o apprehension_n so_o we_o find_v our_o saviour_n speak_v in_o his_o discourse_n of_o the_o jew_n circumcision_n very_o commendable_o and_o honourable_o yet_o i_o hope_v this_o do_v not_o confirm_v it_o for_o the_o future_a but_o here_o it_o may_v be_v object_v but_o he_o do_v not_o prophesy_v of_o its_o future_a observance_n or_o require_v any_o thing_n of_o they_o upon_o a_o supposition_n of_o its_o continuance_n afterward_o and_o therefore_o this_o be_v nothing_o to_o the_o purpose_n but_o we_o know_v he_o can_v not_o but_o foresee_v that_o they_o will_v observe_v it_o
