the_o opinion_n of_o the_o assembly_n be_v different_a from_o that_o of_o the_o divine_n of_o geneva_n in_o the_o present_a case_n be_v perhaps_o more_o than_o our_o author_n may_v be_v able_a to_o prove_v 2._o what_o he_o have_v cite_v from_o the_o assembly_n annotation_n i_o think_v he_o do_v not_o well_o to_o style_v the_o opinion_n of_o the_o assembly_n for_o he_o can_v never_o prove_v that_o the_o whole_a assembly_n allow_v of_o that_o as_o a_o good_a exposition_n true_o the_o passage_n he_o cite_v be_v take_v out_o of_o a_o book_n which_o be_v entitle_v the_o assembly_n annotation_n but_o it_o must_v be_v consider_v that_o the_o assembly_n do_v not_o conjunct_o compose_v those_o annotation_n for_o one_o man_n draw_v up_o annotation_n upon_o one_o part_n of_o the_o bible_n and_o another_o take_v another_o part_n for_o his_o province_n as_o bishop_n reynolds_n compose_v the_o annotation_n upon_o the_o ecclesiaste_n and_o canticle_n gataker_n write_v annotation_n on_o isaiah_n etc._n etc._n and_o who_o be_v the_o author_n of_o the_o annotation_n upon_o the_o psalm_n i_o know_v not_o but_o whoever_o be_v the_o author_n it_o will_v not_o warrant_v this_o gentleman_n to_o conclude_v what_o ever_o the_o annotator_n have_v deliver_v there_o to_o have_v be_v the_o unanimous_a opinion_n of_o the_o whole_a assembly_n 3._o but_o to_o be_v as_o kind_a to_o he_o as_o we_o may_v suppose_v it_o shall_v be_v grant_v he_o that_o the_o whole_a assembly_n approve_v of_o the_o cite_a passage_n it_o will_v not_o follow_v that_o they_o approve_v of_o the_o use_n of_o instrumental_a music_n in_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n under_o the_o gospel_n for_o all_o which_o that_o passage_n import_v be_v only_a thus_o much_o viz._n that_o david_n exhort_v the_o jewish_a people_n to_o stir_v up_o their_o joy_n in_o the_o praise_v god_n by_o musical_a instrument_n and_o what_o be_v this_o to_o our_o author_n purpose_n do_v the_o assembly_n say_v that_o david_n give_v any_o direction_n concern_v the_o use_n of_o instrumental_a music_n in_o christian_a assembly_n which_o hereafter_o be_v to_o be_v if_o not_o it_o be_v nothing_o as_o to_o the_o point_n which_o he_o design_n to_o gain_v i_o see_v the_o assembly_n can_v help_v he_o although_o he_o appeal_v to_o they_o well_o therefore_o he_o will_v strive_v by_o his_o own_o strength_n to_o do_v some_o notable_a thing_n which_o may_v for_o ever_o silence_v all_o his_o opponent_n 19_o ser._n p._n 19_o for_o say_v he_o and_o the_o remark_n upon_o it_o be_v unanswerable_a if_o musical_a instrument_n as_o be_v grant_v have_v that_o power_n then_o how_o have_v they_o change_v their_o nature_n since_o 1._o and_o be_v it_o only_o come_v to_o this_o i_o expect_v he_o shall_v have_v deliver_v a_o plain_a passage_n from_o the_o assembly_n to_o prove_v that_o it_o be_v their_o concurrent_a opinion_n and_o judgement_n that_o musical_a instrument_n may_v lawful_o be_v make_v use_n of_o by_o christian_a assembly_n in_o their_o worship_v of_o god_n this_o be_v what_o any_o reader_n will_v have_v expect_v upon_o the_o perusal_n of_o his_o precede_a word_n but_o he_o fob_v we_o off_o with_o a_o little_a remark_n upon_o a_o sentence_n nothing_o to_o his_o purpose_n 2._o but_o his_o daunt_a and_o unanswerable_a remark_n it_o be_v fit_a we_o shall_v
