addition_n prepare_v which_o be_v like_a as_o it_o be_v a_o crown_n use_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o exhort_v minister_n courageous_o to_o contemn_v all_o temporary_a ignominy_n and_o disgrace_n for_o this_o crown_n of_o eternal_a glory_n doct._n 11._o this_o crown_n of_o glory_n shall_v be_v full_o give_v at_o christ_n second_o come_v to_o judgement_n use_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o admonish_v but_o of_o a_o ready_a mind_n verse_n 3._o neither_o as_o be_v lord_n over_o god_n heritage_n but_o be_v ensample_n to_o the_o flock_n verse_n 4._o and_o when_o the_o chief_a shepherd_n shall_v appear_v you_o shall_v receive_v a_o crown_n of_o glory_n that_o fade_v not_o away_o the_o analysis_n here_o be_v a_o special_a exhortation_n propound_v towards_o the_o elder_n that_o they_o shall_v perform_v their_o duty_n and_o office_n in_o a_o holy_a manner_n the_o duty_n in_o general_n be_v set_v down_o to_o be_v to_o feed_v the_o flock_n whereof_o they_o be_v make_v overseer_n by_o a_o diligent_a overâ—â—ght_n and_o care_n of_o they_o verse_n 2._o at_o the_o beginning_n and_o withal_o it_o be_v describe_v by_o 3_o condition_n that_o be_v in_o a_o special_a manner_n require_v therein_o which_o be_v set_v forth_o by_o a_o dehortation_n from_o the_o three_o contrary_a vice_n that_o be_v oppose_v to_o those_o three_o condition_n 1._o the_o first_o condition_n be_v willing_o to_o feed_v the_o flock_n the_o contrary_a vice_n whereunto_o be_v to_o do_v it_o by_o constraint_n 2._o to_o do_v it_o ready_o and_o free_o the_o contrary_a vice_n unto_o this_o be_v to_o seek_v after_o fifthy_a lucre_n thereby_o 3._o not_o only_o in_o doctrine_n but_o in_o example_n of_o life_n to_o go_v before_o the_o church_n the_o contrary_a vice_n whereunto_o be_v to_o lord_n it_o over_o the_o church_n this_o duty_n be_v thus_o declare_v and_o describe_v they_o be_v persuade_v unto_o it_o by_o the_o reward_n that_o be_v adjoin_v which_o for_o that_o cause_n all_o faithful_a shepherd_n do_v receive_v verse_n 4._o at_o the_o end_n which_o reward_n be_v set_v foâ—th_n both_o by_o the_o internal_a nature_n of_o it_o that_o it_o be_v a_o crown_n of_o glory_n that_o fade_v not_o away_o and_o by_o the_o author_n and_o giver_n of_o it_o to_o wit_n that_o the_o chief_a shepherd_n our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n will_v give_v it_o and_o also_o by_o the_o time_n of_o this_o give_v of_o it_o when_o the_o chief_a shepherd_n shall_v appear_v that_o be_v at_o the_o last_o day_n of_o judgement_n now_o this_o exhortation_n that_o it_o may_v be_v the_o more_o effectual_a and_o may_v work_v the_o more_o upon_o they_o be_v urge_v and_o set_v forth_o by_o the_o person_n of_o peter_n who_o be_v the_o minister_a cause_n thereof_o 1._o from_o the_o parity_n and_o fellowship_n of_o the_o same_o duty_n as_o peter_n a_o elder_a pray_v the_o other_o elder_n to_o do_v their_o duty_n 2._o from_o the_o knowledge_n which_o he_o have_v and_o the_o testimony_n which_o he_o can_v give_v of_o the_o affliction_n of_o christ_n which_o he_o suffer_v for_o the_o church_n the_o remembrance_n whereof_o shall_v stir_v up_o all_o shepherd_n to_o a_o diligent_a care_n of_o the_o church_n 3._o from_o that_o certain_a expectation_n which_o he_o have_v of_o the_o glory_n to_o come_v which_o glory_n he_o promise_v to_o all_o shepherd_n in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o chief_a shepherd_n the_o doctrine_n draw_v herehence_a doct._n 1._o those_o exhortation_n be_v most_o effectual_a which_o be_v propound_v in_o a_o humble_a manner_n this_o be_v gather_v from_o verse_n 1._o where_o the_o apostle_n pray_v not_o command_n in_o humility_n and_o charity_n so_o phil._n 1._o 9_o 1_o tim._n 5._o 1._o he_o pray_v the_o elder_n also_o as_o a_o fellow_n elder_n although_o he_o be_v place_v in_o a_o high_a degree_n as_o apostle_n reason_n 1._o because_o by_o this_o manner_n of_o do_v it_o appear_v that_o he_o which_o exhort_v do_v not_o aim_v at_o his_o own_o good_a but_o the_o good_a of_o another_o 2._o because_o by_o this_o manner_n of_o do_v his_o zeal_n show_v itself_o to_o be_v the_o pure_a 3._o because_o he_o to_o who_o such_o a_o exhortation_n be_v make_v be_v honour_v thereby_o and_o to_o take_v it_o the_o easy_a and_o better_o use_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o direct_v we_o in_o all_o our_o exhortation_n and_o admonition_n to_o have_v respect_n unto_o this_o doct._n 2._o it_o make_v the_o exhortation_n the_o more_o effectual_a when_o a_o man_n speak_v out_o of_o certain_a judgement_n and_o communion_n of_o affection_n this_o be_v gather_v herehence_a that_o peter_n make_v way_n for_o his_o exhortation_n in_o that_o he_o be_v a_o witness_n of_o the_o suffering_n of_o christ_n and_o so_o have_v a_o certain_a knowledge_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o belong_v unto_o christ_n and_o that_o he_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o same_o glory_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v affect_v after_o the_o same_o manner_n himself_o as_o he_o desire_v they_o shall_v be_v reason_n 1._o because_o knowledge_n give_v ability_n and_o authority_n and_o communion_n of_o affection_n add_v zeal_n and_o charity_n to_o the_o exhortation_n 2._o because_o these_o two_o will_v take_v away_o those_o objection_n which_o usual_o hindeâ—_n the_o efficacy_n of_o the_o exhortation_n namely_o either_o that_o he_o give_v his_o judgement_n of_o thing_n that_o he_o do_v not_o know_v or_o else_o at_o least_o he_o be_v a_o unexperienced_a man_n of_o who_o it_o may_v right_o be_v say_v if_o thou_o be_v here_o thou_o will_v think_v otherwise_o use_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o direct_v we_o to_o get_v knowledge_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o we_o exhort_v other_o unto_o and_o affection_n also_o answerable_a thereunto_o doct._n 3._o man_n shall_v be_v exhort_v in_o a_o special_a manner_n unto_o these_o duty_n which_o belong_v unto_o their_o
