whereby_o he_o declare_v what_o be_v the_o manner_n of_o their_o go_n even_o as_o man_n go_v to_o a_o market_n or_o to_o a_o feast_n not_o only_o with_o joy_n but_o also_o by_o company_n and_o so_o many_o of_o one_o house_n as_o go_v will_v go_v together_o so_o they_o do_v not_o only_o go_v to_o the_o house_n of_o god_n cheerful_o but_o many_o of_o they_o together_o even_o as_o to_o the_o market_n and_o feast_n of_o their_o soul_n by_o which_o practice_n of_o they_o as_o the_o do_v of_o many_o be_v condemn_v so_o it_o appear_v that_o the_o man_n of_o our_o time_n be_v lead_v by_o another_o spirit_n than_o they_o be_v and_o be_v otherwise_o persuade_v of_o the_o worship_n and_o place_n they_o go_v unto_o for_o all_o the_o people_n nay_o the_o several_a household_n come_v not_o together_o but_o scatter_v and_o one_o drop_v after_o another_o in_o a_o confuse_a manner_n first_o come_v the_o man_n than_o a_o quarter_n of_o a_o hour_n after_o his_o wife_n and_o after_o she_o we_o can_v tell_v how_o long_o especial_o the_o maidservant_n who_o must_v needs_o be_v as_o long_o after_o she_o as_o the_o men-seruant_n be_v after_o he_o whereby_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o either_o half_a the_o service_n of_o god_n be_v do_v before_o all_o be_v meet_v or_o else_o if_o the_o minister_n tarry_v till_o there_o be_v a_o sufficient_a congregation_n the_o first_o comer_n may_v be_v weary_a and_o sometime_o cold_a with_o tarry_v before_o the_o other_o shall_v be_v warm_a in_o their_o seat_n now_o if_o it_o be_v demand_v of_o the_o master_n why_o they_o alone_o make_v such_o haste_n and_o leave_v all_o the_o rest_n behind_o they_o &_o they_o answer_v true_o because_o the_o time_n be_v come_v wherein_o usual_o public_a prayer_n begin_v can_v they_o be_v persuade_v of_o the_o sabbath_n which_o move_v he_o of_o conscience_n to_o do_v that_o which_o he_o do_v do_v not_o as_o forcible_o bind_v they_o all_o as_o himself_o nay_o do_v not_o bind_v he_o to_o look_v to_o they_o that_o they_o shall_v keep_v holy_a the_o day_n as_o well_o as_o himself_o which_o if_o he_o grant_v to_o be_v true_a &_o yet_o be_v not_o able_a to_o bring_v it_o to_o pass_v where_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v he_o so_o great_a authority_n for_o his_o own_o sake_n partly_o through_o the_o frowardness_n of_o his_o wife_n and_o partly_o through_o the_o obstinacy_n of_o the_o rest_n in_o his_o family_n his_o case_n be_v to_o be_v pity_v and_o he_o be_v rather_o to_o be_v govern_v then_o to_o govern_v and_o he_o may_v do_v well_o to_o set_v up_o one_o of_o 4._o they_o in_o his_o stead_n see_v he_o do_v suffer_v himself_o wilful_o so_o to_o be_v abuse_v and_o be_v content_v to_o be_v overruled_n by_o they_o in_o the_o chief_a thing_n therefore_o that_o he_o may_v bring_v the_o same_o charge_n to_o her_o servant_n dispatch_v and_o tarry_v not_o long_o behind_o but_o here_o be_v no_o say_n come_v let_v we_o go_v let_v we_o go_v together_o and_o if_o it_o be_v once_o ready_a with_o grief_n to_o ask_v where_o 10._o be_v the_o rest_n what_o mean_v this_o party_n to_o come_v alone_o therefore_o let_v all_o governor_n be_v persuade_v that_o it_o be_v their_o bind_a that_o they_o be_v sure_a they_o do_v it_o and_o let_v they_o be_v sorry_a that_o they_o have_v neglect_v this_o duty_n so_o long_o heretofore_o &_o thereby_o have_v charge_v so_o many_o sin_n of_o their_o household_n upon_o themselves_o and_o now_o at_o the_o last_o in_o god_n holy_a fear_n let_v they_o begin_v to_o put_v this_o in_o practice_n lest_o they_o do_v further_o provoke_v the_o most_o patient_a lord_n to_o their_o endless_a destruction_n and_o though_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n
and_o learn_v that_o if_o they_o will_v convey_v god_n blessing_n to_o their_o posterity_n than_o they_o must_v do_v and_o perform_v the_o duty_n belong_v thereunto_o yea_o let_v they_o if_o they_o be_v loath_a to_o convey_v god_n judgement_n to_o their_o child_n careful_o avoid_v the_o mean_n unto_o it_o and_o sure_o as_o it_o be_v a_o bless_a thing_n in_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n with_o simeon_n to_o depart_v in_o peace_n leave_v their_o 29._o wife_n child_n and_o servant_n member_n of_o christ_n spouse_n to_o christ_n child_n to_o god_n and_o servant_n to_o the_o lord_n so_o in_o extremity_n of_o death_n no_o one_o thing_n will_v be_v more_o grievous_a unto_o parent_n and_o householder_n than_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v they_o the_o charge_n of_o so_o many_o soul_n to_o be_v further_v to_o salvation_n that_o 〈◊〉_d own_o torment_a conscience_n shall_v press_v they_o in_o as_o much_o as_o they_o have_v help_v their_o child_n and_o servant_n forward_o to_o their_o receive_v much_o comfort_n and_o commodity_n but_o this_o government_n of_o a_o family_n be_v not_o very_o common_a in_o the_o world_n for_o it_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n that_o man_n can_v stumble_v on_o by_o chance_n by_o wisdom_n wisdom_n say_v solomon_n be_v a_o house_n build_v and_o with_o understand_v it_o be_v establish_v and_o with_o knowledge_n shall_v the_o chamber_n thereof_o be_v fetch_v from_o the_o fountain_n of_o all_o wisdom_n god_n himself_o who_o by_o his_o word_n give_v unto_o we_o pure_a light_n to_o walk_v by_o not_o in_o the_o church_n
but_o cold_o and_o for_o custom_n sake_n at_o the_o church_n and_o god_n accept_v no_o more_o of_o their_o worship_n they_o do_v there_o than_o they_o love_v and_o like_v of_o his_o government_n in_o their_o house_n the_o governor_n of_o family_n if_o as_o it_o be_v in_o marriage_n there_o be_v more_o than_o one_o upon_o who_o the_o charge_n charge_n of_o government_n lie_v though_o unequal_o be_v first_o the_o chief_a governor_n which_o be_v the_o husband_n second_o a_o fellow-helper_n which_o be_v the_o wife_n these_o both_o do_v owe_v duty_n to_o their_o family_n and_o duty_n one_o to_o another_o the_o duty_n they_o owe_v to_o their_o family_n both_o concern_v godliness_n and_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n belong_v either_o to_o the_o husband_n especial_o or_o to_o the_o wife_n hallow_v as_o it_o ought_v now_o the_o lord_n will_v not_o only_o have_v master_n of_o family_n to_o keep_v holy_a the_o sabbath_n themselves_o in_o all_o the_o part_n of_o his_o worship_n public_a and_o private_a but_o also_o that_o every_o one_o shall_v in_o his_o several_a place_n and_o room_n careful_o to_o take_v order_n that_o so_o many_o as_o be_v commit_v to_o his_o themselves_o charge_n shall_v sanctify_v the_o lord_n day_n as_o well_o as_o himself_o which_o though_o it_o be_v true_a in_o all_o other_o commandment_n namely_o that_o whatsoever_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o do_v ourselves_o see_v that_o they_o worship_n god_n in_o they_o as_o well_o as_o themselves_o therefore_o the_o master_n of_o family_n must_v provide_v as_o much_o as_o lie_v in_o they_o that_o the_o word_n be_v public_o preach_v where_o they_o dwell_v not_o for_o themselves_o alone_o but_o for_o their_o child_n and_o servant_n take_v that_o they_o may_v keep_v holy_a the_o day_n together_o with_o they_o and_o they_o must_v not_o only_o come_v themselves_o to_o the_o place_n of_o common-prayer_n and_o divine_a service_n but_o bring_v these_o also_o with_o they_o and_o spend_v the_o rest_n of_o the_o day_n in_o all_o private_a godly_a exercise_n themselves_o and_o cause_v other_o to_o do_v so_o also_o and_o here_o lest_o this_o may_v seem_v too_o heavy_a unto_o we_o and_o that_o it_o may_v not_o be_v grievous_a to_o take_v so_o great_a a_o charge_n upon_o we_o we_o must_v remember_v that_o as_o we_o have_v great_a help_n by_o our_o inferior_n in_o many_o thing_n so_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v we_o to_o help_v they_o in_o the_o chief_a and_o princîpall_a and_o as_o he_o have_v make_v they_o our_o servant_n so_o we_o shall_v make_v they_o his_o servant_n and_o when_o they_o have_v serve_v we_o six_o day_n we_o may_v cause_v they_o to_o serve_v he_o upon_o the_o seven_o and_o as_o the_o lord_n have_v prefer_v we_o above_o they_o with_o their_o service_n so_o he_o will_v humble_v we_o with_o this_o charge_n and_o care_n over_o they_o or_o rather_o exalt_v we_o in_o that_o he_o will_v have_v we_o to_o be_v as_o it_o be_v the_o overseer_n of_o his_o work_n and_o not_o only_o serve_v he_o ourselves_o but_o also_o see_v his_o service_n do_v by_o other_o commit_v to_o our_o charge_n which_o if_o you_o do_v not_o wherein_o shall_v the_o christian_a governor_n of_o household_n differ_v from_o the_o infidel_n and_o heathen_a and_o what_o great_a thing_n shall_v we_o do_v for_o our_o servant_n then_o they_o nay_o what_o shall_v we_o do_v more_o for_o they_o then_o
so_o rare_a in_o the_o world_n as_o it_o be_v and_o man_n altogether_o so_o unacquainted_a with_o it_o as_o they_o be_v nay_o so_o loathsome_a and_o tedious_a to_o flesh_n &_o blood_n that_o they_o be_v afraid_a once_o to_o begin_v with_o it_o yet_o let_v the_o bare_a commandment_n of_o god_n prevail_v more_o with_o we_o to_o take_v it_o in_o hand_n and_o to_o continue_v in_o it_o than_o all_o great_a cause_n of_o it_o to_o be_v in_o themselves_o and_o so_o go_v not_o about_o to_o remedy_v it_o for_o while_o they_o labour_v not_o to_o make_v their_o child_n the_o son_n and_o daughter_n of_o god_n by_o adoption_n and_o to_o bring_v their_o servant_n within_o the_o household_n of_o god_n that_o they_o may_v be_v his_o servant_n by_o grace_n and_o to_o make_v their_o wife_n the_o chaste_a spouse_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o so_o all_o of_o they_o to_o serve_v he_o the_o lord_n just_o punish_v they_o make_v wife_n child_n servant_n and_o all_o disobedient_a unto_o they_o for_o how_o can_v they_o do_v duty_n unto_o man_n if_o they_o have_v not_o learned_a to_o do_v duty_n unto_o god_n and_o so_o of_o conscience_n for_o god_n sake_n to_o do_v duty_n unto_o man_n nay_o must_v not_o the_o lord_n need_v punish_v they_o with_o disobedience_n against_o themselves_o that_o by_o their_o own_o experience_n they_o may_v know_v how_o grievous_a the_o neglect_n of_o his_o service_n be_v than_o his_o company_n for_o he_o think_v himself_o to_o be_v in_o a_o prison_n nay_o in_o hell_n all_o the_o while_n but_o in_o the_o end_n he_o shall_v perceive_v that_o he_o be_v go_v from_o the_o way_n of_o heaven_n unto_o hell_n if_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o more_o merciful_a unto_o he_o and_o why_o shall_v we_o be_v loath_a to_o depart_v from_o the_o service_n of_o they_o that_o have_v no_o care_n to_o serve_v god_n or_o can_v we_o look_v that_o they_o shall_v do_v any_o faithful_a service_n unto_o we_o that_o be_v so_o unfaithful_a in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n but_o as_o concern_v the_o rest_n if_o any_o be_v religious_a us._n this_o be_v the_o best_a mean_a to_o retain_v and_o keep_v they_o if_o they_o be_v but_o indifferent_a this_o may_v win_v they_o if_o they_o be_v fall_v away_o this_o may_v recover_v they_o for_o what_o shall_v we_o think_v of_o all_o the_o godly_a father_n in_o time_n past_a that_o when_o they_o vow_v diligent_o to_o look_v to_o their_o household_n that_o they_o shall_v serve_v god_n with_o they_o and_o do_v constant_o perform_v it_o that_o then_o they_o have_v no_o servant_n at_o all_o be_v so_o great_a a_o man_n as_o jehoshua_n without_o ignorant_o presume_v to_o the_o further_o deceive_v objection_n of_o ourselves_o and_o harden_v we_o in_o this_o sin_n that_o the_o time_n be_v then_o better_a and_o good_a servant_n then_o more_o which_o we_o may_v look_v for_o at_o god_n hand_n if_o we_o will_v walk_v in_o the_o same_o way_n that_o they_o do_v see_v there_o be_v no_o respect_n of_o person_n time_n or_o place_n with_o he_o second_o he_o must_v set_v a_o order_n in_o his_o house_n for_o the_o service_n of_o god_n to_o wit_n that_o morning_n and_o evening_n before_o meal_n and_o after_o meal_n prayer_n and_o thanks_n may_v be_v offer_v unto_o god_n and_o so_o he_o acknowledge_v to_o be_v the_o author_n not_o only_o of_o all_o spiritual_a grace_n that_o belong_v to_o a_o better_a life_n but_o also_o of_o all_o temporal_a blessing_n that_o belong_v to_o this_o life_n for_o see_v that_o it_o be_v god_n good_a hand_n over_o we_o that_o do_v defend_v
yet_o if_o the_o parent_n afterward_o shall_v certain_o know_v this_o and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o will_n nor_o unfeigned_a meaning_n at_o all_o in_o the_o party_n neither_o yet_o be_v but_o rather_o a_o loathe_n and_o abhor_v of_o his_o spouse_n betroth_v though_o he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o render_v just_a and_o sufficient_a cause_n thereof_o they_o may_v upon_o this_o occasion_n consent_n do_v they_o not_o plain_o show_v that_o both_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n and_o the_o law_n of_o god_n teach_v they_o that_o this_o consent_n be_v of_o great_a moment_n &_o absolute_a natural_a mother_n of_o all_o marriage_n duty_n wherefore_o this_o promise_n must_v be_v in_o this_o respect_n at_o least_o willing_a and_o voluntary_a for_o albeit_o it_o be_v not_o necessary_a and_o frustrate_v by_o the_o magistrate_n who_o be_v god_n lieutenant_n to_o redress_v such_o intolerable_a enormity_n among_o the_o society_n of_o man_n for_o if_o parent_n may_v deny_v marriage_n some_o woman_n a_o beck_n of_o her_o husband_n be_v sufficient_a to_o declare_v that_o there_o be_v somewhat_o amiss_o that_o displease_v he_o and_o special_o if_o she_o bear_v her_o husband_n any_o reverence_n for_o a_o honest_a matron_n have_v no_o need_n of_o any_o great_a staff_n but_o of_o one_o word_n or_o one_o sour_a countenance_n moreover_o a_o modest_a and_o chaste_a woman_n that_o four_o reason_n why_o the_o woman_n be_v to_o go_v abroad_o first_o to_o come_v to_o holy_a meeting_n according_a to_o the_o duty_n of_o godliness_n the_o second_o to_o visit_v such_o as_o stand_v in_o need_n as_o the_o duty_n of_o love_n and_o charity_n do_v require_v the_o three_o for_o employment_n and_o provision_n in_o household_n affair_n commit_v to_o her_o charge_n and_o last_o with_o her_o husband_n when_o he_o shall_v require_v she_o gen._n 20._o 1._o etc._n etc._n the_o evil_a and_o unquiet_a life_n that_o some_o woman_n have_v and_o pass_v with_o their_o husband_n be_v not_o so_o much_o for_o that_o they_o commit_v peace_n with_o and_o in_o their_o person_n as_o it_o be_v for_o that_o they_o speak_v with_o their_o tongue_n if_o the_o wife_n will_v keep_v silence_n when_o her_o husband_n begin_v to_o chide_v he_o shall_v not_o have_v so_o unquiet_a dinner_n neither_o she_o the_o worse_a supper_n which_o sure_o be_v not_o so_o for_o at_o the_o same_o time_n that_o the_o husband_n begin_v to_o utter_v his_o grief_n the_o wife_n begin_v woman_n to_o scold_v and_o chafe_v whereof_o do_v follow_v that_o now_o and_o then_o most_o unnatural_o they_o come_v to_o handy-gripe_n more_o beastlike_a than_o christian-like_a which_o their_o so_o do_v be_v both_o a_o great_a shame_n and_o foul_a discredit_n to_o they_o both_o the_o best_a mean_n therefore_o that_o a_o wife_n can_v use_v to_o obtain_v and_o maintain_v the_o love_n and_o good_a like_n of_o her_o husband_n be_v to_o be_v silent_a obedient_a peaceable_a patient_a studious_a to_o appease_v his_o choler_n if_o he_o be_v angry_a painful_a and_o diligent_a in_o look_v to_o her_o business_n to_o be_v solitary_a and_o honest_a the_o chief_a and_o special_a cause_n why_o most_o woman_n do_v fail_v in_o husband_n not_o perform_v this_o duty_n to_o their_o husband_n be_v because_o they_o be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o teach_v the_o same_o and_o all_o other_o duty_n and_o therefore_o their_o soul_n and_o conscience_n not_o be_v bring_v into_o subjection_n to_o god_n and_o his_o word_n they_o can_v never_o until_o then_o yield_v and_o perform_v true_a subjection_n and_o obedience_n to_o their_o husband_n and_o behave_v themselves_o so_o every_o way_n as_o christian_a wife_n be_v in_o duty_n bind_v to_o do_v but_o if_o wife_n be_v not_o so_o dutiful_a serviceable_a and_o subject_a to_o their_o husband_n as_o in_o conscience_n they_o ought_v the_o only_a cause_n thereof_o for_o the_o most_o part_n

be_v a_o father_n or_o i_o will_v be_v a_o mother_n unto_o you_o so_o the_o child_n will_v love_v you_o as_o much_o as_o they_o do_v their_o dead_a father_n or_o dead_a mother_n for_o that_o man_n that_o be_v lead_v with_o discretion_n reason_n and_o consideration_n will_v reckon_v himself_o and_o his_o wife_n all_o one_o and_o likewise_o she_o will_v account_v herself_o and_o her_o husband_n as_o one_o and_o therefore_o they_o ought_v to_o account_v both_o the_o child_n of_o the_o one_o and_o of_o the_o other_o as_o common_a to_o they_o both_o for_o if_o friendship_n make_v all_o thing_n common_a among_o friend_n insomuch_o that_o they_o have_v love_v &_o favour_v their_o friend_n child_n as_o their_o own_o how_o much_o more_o effectual_o and_o perfect_o ought_v marriage_n to_o cause_v the_o same_o which_o be_v the_o high_a degree_n not_o only_o of_o friendship_n but_o also_o of_o all_o blood_n and_o kindred_n but_o stepmother_n do_v more_o often_o offend_v and_o fail_v in_o this_o duty_n than_o man_n by_o reason_n that_o their_o affection_n be_v strong_a than_o man_n and_o many_o time_n over-rule_v they_o and_o therefore_o they_o be_v earnest_o to_o be_v admonish_v and_o warn_v that_o they_o show_v to_o those_o motherless_a child_n no_o stepmother_n friendship_n but_o a_o right_n motherly_a kindness_n let_v the_o stepmother_n advise_o consider_v that_o god_n have_v ordain_v and_o appoint_v she_o in_o steast_n of_o their_o own_o mother_n to_o be_v to_o they_o a_o right_n true_a mother_n and_o not_o only_o to_o regard_v they_o as_o child_n but_o as_o orphan_n child_n and_o that_o he_o require_v she_o to_o love_v they_o and_o to_o do_v they_o good_a as_o to_o her_o own_o what_o a_o grief_n will_v it_o be_v to_o her_o heart_n if_o she_o shall_v know_v now_o that_o her_o own_o child_n who_o she_o have_v bear_v in_o she_o own_o body_n shall_v after_o her_o death_n have_v a_o stepmother_n that_o will_v be_v rigorous_a churlish_a and_o unkind_a unto_o they_o doubtless_o those_o child_n mother_n that_o dead_a be_v have_v upon_o her_o deathbed_n no_o less_o care_n for_o her_o child_n let_v she_o therefore_o always_o have_v in_o mind_n this_o say_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n as_o you_o measure_v unto_o other_o so_o it_o shall_v be_v measure_v to_o you_o again_o that_o be_v as_o the_o stepmother_n do_v entreat_v the_o child_n of_o her_o predecessor_n so_o another_o wife_n may_v come_v after_o she_o and_o entreat_v her_o child_n for_o he_o that_o take_v away_o the_o first_o mother_n and_o send_v she_o can_v take_v away_o the_o be_v unto_o her_o husband_n child_n that_o which_o she_o may_v hear_v they_o call_v she_o so_o often_o that_o be_v mother_n for_o what_o christian_a woman_n be_v so_o far_o from_o all_o humanity_n and_o natural_a affection_n that_o will_v not_o be_v move_v and_o mitigate_v with_o this_o word_n mother_n of_o who_o soever_o it_o be_v speak_v and_o chief_o of_o child_n which_o can_v flatter_v but_o speak_v even_o so_o from_o their_o heart_n as_o they_o will_v to_o their_o own_o mother_n of_o who_o they_o be_v bear_v how_o sweet_a be_v the_o name_n of_o friendship_n how_o many_o injury_n hatred_n and_o displeasure_n do_v it_o hide_v and_o put_v away_o then_o how_o much_o more_o effectual_a ought_v the_o sweet_a name_n of_o mother_n to_o be_v which_o be_v full_a of_o incredible_a love_n therefore_o every_o religious_a and_o love_a wife_n will_v be_v mollify_v and_o move_v in_o her_o heart_n and_o mind_n when_o she_o shall_v hear_v herself_o name_v mother_n by_o any_o of_o her_o husband_n child_n otherwise_o she_o shall_v show_v herself_o to_o be_v more_o unnatural_a and_o unkind_a than_o the_o wild_a savage_a beast_n for_o there_o be_v no_o beast_n so_o outrageous_a and_o cruel_a but_o if_o any_o other_o young_a beast_n of_o her_o own_o kind_a fawn_n upon_o she_o she_o will_v by_o and_o by_o show_v kindness_n and_o mildness_n unto_o it_o and_o shall_v not_o her_o husband_n child_n make_v her_o kind_n &_o love_a unto_o they_o when_o they_o call_v and_o speak_v unto_o she_o by_o the_o love_a and_o sweet_a name_n of_o mother_n 3._o the_o three_o and_o last_o point_n that_o appertain_v therein_o to_o the_o duty_n of_o wife_n be_v that_o they_o do_v not_o wear_v gorgeous_a and_o sumptuous_a apparel_n or_o broider_a hair_n trim_v with_o gold_n but_o that_o after_o the_o example_n of_o holy_a woman_n which_o trust_v in_o god_n they_o be_v sober_a in_o outward_a apparel_n &_o garnish_v and_o deck_v inward_o with_o virtue_n of_o their_o mind_n as_o with_o gentleness_n meekness_n quietness_n and_o chastity_n which_o indeed_o be_v most_o precious_a thing_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n this_o point_n be_v plain_o speak_v of_o by_o the_o apostle_n to_o timothy_n chap._n 2._o vers_fw-la 10_o in_o which_o place_n he_o so_o flat_o condemn_v both_o the_o excess_n and_o pride_n of_o ash_n apparel_n as_o also_o the_o pomp_n curiosity_n and_o wantonness_n which_o woman_n use_v in_o trim_v their_o head_n by_o plait_v cripe_a broyd_v curl_v and_o curious_o lay_v out_o that_o no_o man_n can_v say_v more_o against_o it_o in_o few_o word_n than_o he_o have_v speak_v to_o the_o utter_a dislike_n thereof_o for_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v occupy_v himself_o and_o give_v liberty_n to_o his_o pen_n to_o write_v of_o the_o horrible_a abuse_n and_o excessive_a pride_n that_o many_o woman_n be_v guilty_a of_o in_o this_o behalf_n he_o shall_v rather_o want_v time_n to_o write_v than_o matter_n to_o deliver_v therefore_o such_o woman_n as_o will_v not_o reform_v themselves_o we_o leave_v they_o to_o the_o lord_n who_o no_o doubt_n will_v in_o his_o appoint_a time_n not_o only_o severe_o punish_v they_o but_o also_o their_o husband_n for_o suffer_v this_o great_a wickedness_n and_o dissoluteness_n in_o their_o wife_n as_o he_o do_v the_o jew_n for_o the_o same_o sin_n as_o plain_o may_v be_v teen_n in_o isaiah_n 3._o 16._o etc._n etc._n for_o so_o it_o fall_v out_o according_a to_o the_o common_a proverb_n that_o pride_n go_v before_o and_o shame_n and_o destruction_n come_v after_o and_o on_o the_o contrary_a 18._o part_n we_o hope_v that_o such_o woman_n as_o be_v true_a professor_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o religion_n will_v both_o attire_n and_o dress_v their_o head_n so_o decent_o and_o also_o content_v themselves_o with_o such_o comely_a apparel_n as_o best_o beseem_v their_o call_n and_o degree_n so_o as_o by_o their_o good_a example_n they_o may_v draw_v on_o 3._o other_o woman_n to_o reform_v themselves_o in_o this_o behalf_n and_o so_o rather_o come_v short_a of_o that_o which_o their_o ability_n and_o place_n will_v serve_v to_o maintain_v than_o any_o way_n to_o exceed_v therein_o to_o the_o slander_n of_o their_o profession_n and_o let_v they_o not_o so_o much_o regard_v what_o thing_n they_o will_v fain_o have_v but_o rather_o what_o they_o apparel_n can_v well_o be_v without_o so_o that_o whatsoever_o they_o have_v no_o need_n of_o be_v too_o dear_a of_o a_o farthing_n the_o duty_n of_o parent_n towards_o their_o child_n this_o duty_n consist_v in_o four_o point_n first_o that_o father_n and_o mother_n occupation_n do_v instruct_v and_o bring_v up_o their_o child_n even_o from_o the_o cradle_n in_o the_o fear_n &_o nurture_n of_o the_o lord_n second_o that_o they_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o shame_n fastness_n hatred_n of_o vice_n and_o love_n of_o all_o virtue_n
three_o that_o they_o be_v unto_o their_o child_n example_n of_o all_o godliness_n and_o virtue_n four_o that_o they_o keep_v they_o from_o idleness_n the_o mother_n of_o all_o mischief_n and_o bring_v they_o up_o either_o in_o learning_n or_o in_o some_o good_a art_n or_o occupation_n whereby_o they_o may_v get_v their_o live_n with_o honesty_n and_o truth_n when_o they_o shall_v come_v to_o age_n and_o year_n of_o discretion_n 1._o touch_v the_o first_o point_n parent_n be_v to_o point_n be_v admonish_v that_o they_o bear_v in_o mind_n that_o the_o cause_n why_o the_o lord_n have_v bless_v they_o with_o child_n be_v first_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v careful_a to_o see_v that_o their_o child_n be_v so_o virtuous_o bring_v up_o that_o they_o may_v become_v citizen_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n so_o that_o whensoever_o they_o themselves_o shall_v die_v in_o the_o lord_n they_o may_v leave_v their_o child_n true_a worshipper_n of_o god_n in_o their_o place_n but_o alas_o there_o be_v few_o that_o have_v any_o great_a care_n of_o this_o duty_n it_o be_v to_o be_v remember_v that_o it_o be_v the_o father_n duty_n with_o all_o convenient_a speed_n to_o present_v the_o child_n to_o baptism_n and_o there_o to_o give_v the_o name_n unto_o his_o child_n as_o may_v appear_v by_o the_o example_n luke_n 1._o 3._o gen._n 21._o 3._o and_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n to_o be_v wish_v that_o all_o parent_n when_o and_o at_o such_o time_n as_o god_n bless_v name_n they_o with_o child_n will_v give_v they_o such_o name_n as_o be_v name_v and_o commend_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n to_o the_o end_n that_o when_o they_o come_v to_o year_n of_o discretion_n they_o by_o hear_v those_o name_n may_v be_v excite_v and_o move_v to_o follow_v the_o virtuous_a life_n and_o christian_a conversation_n of_o those_o man_n and_o woman_n who_o name_n they_o bear_v which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v commend_v they_o for_o and_o contrariwise_o to_o 〈◊〉_d 3._o and_o avoid_v those_o fault_n and_o vice_n which_o be_v discommend_v in_o they_o and_o yet_o we_o have_v to_o remember_v that_o those_o child_n which_o be_v name_v and_o call_v by_o and_o after_o any_o of_o the_o name_n of_o the_o 〈◊〉_d prophet_n apostle_n or_o by_o the_o name_n of_o any_o other_o saint_n man_n or_o woman_n be_v not_o any_o thing_n the_o better_a because_o they_o have_v such_o godly_a and_o christian_a name_n unless_o that_o they_o do_v imitate_v and_o follow_v they_o in_o faith_n virtue_n convince_v and_o godly_a behaviour_n so_o on_o the_o other_o side_n they_o that_o be_v not_o call_v by_o such_o christian_a name_n as_o be_v mention_v in_o the_o sacred_a scripture_n be_v not_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o name_n any_o thing_n the_o worse_o have_v a_o assure_a faith_n in_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n his_o death_n passion_n and_o blood_n shed_v and_o lead_v their_o life_n agreeable_a to_o the_o same_o for_o as_o neither_o the_o revenue_n nor_o the_o glorious_a title_n and_o name_n of_o ancestor_n 〈◊〉_d descend_v of_o noble_a parentage_n make_v man_n noble_a and_o renown_a indeed_o unless_o they_o themselves_o be_v godly_a honest_a and_o wise_a so_o neither_o the_o godly_a name_n no_o nor_o yet_o the_o faith_n and_o virtue_n of_o the_o father_n avail_v the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a child_n any_o thing_n at_o all_o unless_o they_o repent_v and_o become_v faithful_a and_o godly_a as_o they_o be_v let_v we_o here_o consider_v that_o so_o often_o as_o in_o the_o race_n of_o our_o life_n we_o do_v hear_v or_o do_v speak_v of_o our_o name_n it_o do_v put_v we_o in_o remembrance_n first_o of_o god_n mercy_n show_v unto_o we_o in_o our_o baptisine_n second_o of_o our_o promise_n to_o god_n again_o and_o as_o in_o time_n among_o our_o ancestor_n infant_n have_v their_o name_n give_v they_o when_o they_o be_v circumcise_v as_o appeat_v in_o luke_n no_o doubt_n to_o this_o end_n that_o 21._o the_o circumcise_v shall_v be_v admonish_v by_o the_o call_n by_o their_o name_n at_o what_o time_n and_o place_n man_n they_o have_v their_o name_n give_v they_o and_o will_v think_v that_o they_o be_v write_v in_o the_o number_n of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o join_v in_o league_n with_o he_o and_o make_v partaker_n of_o his_o covenant_n so_o likewise_o after_o the_o same_o manner_n must_v we_o that_o have_v have_v our_o name_n give_v we_o in_o baptism_n remember_v and_o bear_v in_o mind_n that_o we_o be_v by_o grace_n adopt_v to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o receive_v into_o his_o favour_n and_o therefore_o that_o we_o be_v god_n own_o and_o as_o it_o be_v his_o good_n and_o riches_n who_o bear_v his_o name_n as_o proper_a unto_o he_o 2._o second_o they_o may_v assure_v themselves_o that_o all_o their_o labour_n be_v lose_v which_o they_o bestow_v upon_o their_o child_n unless_o they_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o oftentimes_o call_v upon_o god_n help_n by_o earnest_a prayer_n that_o he_o in_o mercy_n will_v vouthsafe_v to_o preserve_v they_o from_o the_o manifold_a snare_n subtlety_n and_o temptation_n of_o satan_n which_o their_o tender_a age_n be_v subject_a unto_o we_o may_v hear_v many_o parent_n complain_v of_o the_o disobedience_n of_o their_o child_n but_o they_o do_v not_o mark_v and_o consider_v that_o they_o be_v just_o punish_v by_o god_n for_o that_o they_o think_v by_o their_o own_o industry_n and_o wit_n to_o make_v they_o good_a and_o virtuous_a without_o god_n blessing_n which_o they_o seldom_o or_o never_o call_v for_o in_o good_a earnest_n 3._o three_o let_v they_o consider_v how_o noble_a a_o thing_n a_o child_n be_v who_o god_n himself_o have_v shape_v and_o form_v in_o his_o mother_n womb_n nourish_v bring_v forth_o into_o the_o light_n and_o endue_v with_o body_n and_o soul_n to_o the_o end_n he_o shall_v as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o table_n represent_v god_n his_o first_o pattern_n 4._o four_o let_v they_o know_v that_o these_o thing_n be_v to_o be_v deal_v with_o all_o in_o order_n unto_o the_o body_n they_o owe_v nourishment_n bring_v up_o apparel_n parent_n and_o sometime_o correction_n that_o they_o may_v keep_v child_n in_o awe_n unto_o the_o soul_n they_o owe_v catechise_v instruction_n and_o doctrine_n and_o that_o of_o two_o sort_n namely_o of_o godliness_n and_o of_o civility_n by_o the_o one_o they_o shall_v keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n before_o god_n by_o the_o other_o they_o shall_v obtain_v a_o good_a report_n among_o man_n for_o these_o be_v the_o two_o principal_a point_n which_o parent_n ought_v to_o be_v most_o careful_a to_o plant_v in_o this_o life_n in_o their_o child_n both_o which_o the_o apostle_n comprehend_v in_o one_o verse_n where_o he_o say_v ephes._n 1._o 4._o you_o father_n provoke_v not_o your_o child_n to_o wrath_n but_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o instruction_n and_o information_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o therefore_o all_o parent_n be_v diligent_o to_o instruct_v and_o teach_v their_o child_n the_o first_o principle_n of_o christ_n his_o religion_n so_o soon_o as_o by_o age_n they_o be_v able_a to_o perceive_v and_o understand_v the_o same_o that_o they_o may_v as_o it_o be_v suck_v in_o godliness_n together_o with_o their_o mother_n milk_n and_o straightway_n after_o their_o cradle_n may_v be_v nourish_v with_o the_o tender_a food_n of_o virtue_n towards_o that_o bless_a life_n to_o have_v godly_a child_n no_o doubt_n be_v the_o great_a treasure_n that_o may_v be_v for_o in_o the_o child_n do_v the_o parent_n live_v in_o a_o manner_n after_o their_o death_n and_o if_o they_o be_v well_o instruct_v catechise_v and_o virtuous_o bring_v up_o god_n be_v honour_v by_o they_o the_o commonwealth_n be_v advance_v yea_o their_o parent_n and_o all_o other_o fare_v the_o better_a for_o they_o they_o be_v their_o parent_n comfort_n next_o unto_o god_n their_o joy_n staff_n and_o uphold_v of_o their_o age_n and_o therefore_o parent_n ought_v to_o begin_v betimes_o to_o plant_v virtue_n in_o their_o child_n breast_n for_o late_o sow_v bring_v a_o late_a or_o never_o apt_a harvest_n young_a branch_n will_v bow_v as_o a_o man_n will_v have_v they_o but_o old_a tree_n will_v soon_o break_v than_o bow_n and_o therefore_o as_o arrow_n be_v a_o excellent_a weapon_n of_o defence_n to_o a_o strong_a and_o a_o mighty_a man_n that_o can_v shoot_v they_o with_o courage_n even_o so_o child_n godly_a bring_v up_o be_v a_o special_a protection_n and_o defence_n to_o their_o parent_n and_o as_o the_o strong_a man_n quiver_n the_o better_a it_o be_v furnish_v with_o neither_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v so_o universal_a that_o every_o particular_a child_n of_o a_o faithful_a man_n shall_v be_v within_o the_o covenant_n or_o if_o of_o many_o there_o be_v but_o one_o bless_v the_o promise_n be_v perform_v yea_o which_o more_o be_v though_o the_o faithful_a man_n have_v never_o a_o good_a child_n yet_o if_o unto_o a_o thousand_o generation_n there_o be_v but_o one_o good_a the_o covenant_n be_v not_o break_v noither_o must_v we_o tie_v the_o lord_n his_o work_n so_o much_o to_o man_n that_o a_o good_a man_n may_v not_o have_v a_o cuill_n son_n see_v though_o the_o lord_n visit_v not_o his_o sin_n yet_o he_o may_v visit_v the_o sin_n of_o some_o of_o his_o forefather_n to_o the_o three_o and_o four_o generation_n go_v before_o to_o the_o second_o we_o say_v that_o a_o evil_a father_n have_v a_o good_a child_n though_o the_o lord_n show_v not_o mercy_n to_o that_o particular_a man_n therein_o yet_o he_o may_v remember_v his_o promise_n to_o some_o of_o the_o forefather_n in_o the_o thousand_o generation_n go_v before_o and_o though_o that_o evil_a man_n have_v no_o curse_a child_n yet_o the_o curse_n may_v be_v accomplish_v in_o the_o three_o and_o four_o generation_n follow_v wherefore_o not_o speak_v of_o election_n or_o reprobation_n which_o we_o leave_v only_o to_o the_o lord_n to_o make_v good_a or_o bad_a we_o exhort_v parent_n to_o the_o ordinary_a mean_n to_o bring_v up_o their_o child_n so_o as_o they_o either_o by_o some_o good_a token_n may_v see_v they_o the_o child_n of_o god_n as_o heir_n of_o the_o covenant_n or_o at_o least_o be_v comfort_v in_o their_o own_o conscience_n if_o their_o child_n for_o some_o cause_n unknown_a refuse_v it_o yet_o they_o may_v rejoice_v in_o this_o that_o to_o the_o uttermost_a of_o their_o ability_n they_o have_v use_v all_o good_a and_o godly_a mean_n to_o bring_v they_o up_o well_o and_o offer_v they_o to_o god_n and_o if_o parent_n have_v cause_n to_o be_v grieve_v when_o thus_o travel_v in_o good_a education_n they_o can_v see_v good_a in_o their_o child_n how_o much_o more_o cause_n of_o grief_n may_v they_o have_v when_o they_o have_v use_v and_o bestow_v no_o labour_n at_o all_o to_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o yet_o many_o will_v be_v grieve_v for_o the_o one_o that_o will_v not_o for_o the_o other_o wherefore_o if_o we_o wish_v to_o convey_v god_n his_o blessing_n to_o our_o posterity_n let_v we_o use_v the_o duty_n thereunto_o let_v we_o if_o we_o be_v loath_a to_o convey_v god_n his_o judgement_n to_o our_o child_n careful_o avoid_v the_o mean_n unto_o it_o and_o sure_o as_o it_o be_v a_o bless_a thing_n in_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n with_o symeon_n to_o depart_v in_o peace_n leave_v our_o wife_n child_n and_o servant_n 29._o member_n of_o christ_n spouse_n to_o christ_n child_n to_o god_n and_o servant_n to_o the_o lord_n so_o in_o death_n no_o one_o thing_n will_v be_v more_o grievous_a unto_o a_o man_n than_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v he_o the_o charge_n of_o so_o many_o soul_n to_o be_v further_v to_o salvation_n that_o his_o own_o torment_a conscience_n shall_v this_o brief_o be_v thus_o much_o that_o parent_n have_v fool_n child_n not_o walk_v either_o in_o knowledge_n or_o in_o a_o good_a conscience_n must_v make_v some_o use_n of_o so_o just_a a_o cause_n of_o grief_n examine_v themselves_o and_o accuse_v their_o own_o soul_n before_o the_o lord_n either_o for_o that_o their_o meeting_n be_v profane_a to_o so_o holy_a a_o estate_n or_o brutish_a because_o they_o desire_v rather_o a_o seed_n like_o unto_o themselves_o in_o flesh_n and_o blood_n than_o such_o as_o may_v be_v like_o christ_n by_o grace_n and_o new_a birth_n or_o that_o they_o beget_v their_o offspring_n as_o mere_a natural_a or_o very_o carnal_a man_n or_o because_o they_o either_o profane_o neglect_v all_o good_a education_n or_o monstrouf_o mislike_v that_o in_o their_o young_a child_n which_o they_o like_v in_o themselves_o and_o punish_v in_o they_o their_o own_o corrupt_a precept_n or_o for_o that_o they_o suffer_v their_o child_n injurious_o to_o do_v evil_a to_o other_o which_o they_o can_v not_o suffer_v to_o do_v to_o themselves_o or_o untaught_a they_o that_o at_o home_n which_o be_v teach_v abroad_o or_o in_o that_o they_o do_v lie_v in_o some_o sin_n unrepented_a of_o or_o else_o because_o they_o never_o make_v conscience_n to_o bring_v their_o posterity_n within_o the_o covenant_n of_o salvation_n but_o still_o love_v the_o flesh_n of_o their_o child_n and_o not_o their_o soul_n let_v all_o parent_n remember_v that_o they_o be_v bind_v by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o nature_n as_o concern_v this_o bodily_a life_n to_o make_v good_a and_o honest_a
his_o father_n shame_n but_o so_o odious_a be_v this_o impiety_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n that_o noah_n by_o the_o 22._o conduct_n and_o direction_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n curse_v both_o he_o and_o all_o his_o 〈◊〉_d and_o therefore_o we_o well_o and_o true_o may_v say_v that_o those_o child_n who_o in_o stead_n of_o defend_v the_o honour_n of_o their_o parent_n do_v lay_v they_o open_v if_o for_o nothing_o else_o yet_o for_o the_o lord_n sake_n who_o be_v and_o do_v think_v himself_o despise_v so_o long_o as_o the_o child_n condemn_v their_o parent_n and_o little_a regard_n they_o so_o the_o child_n honour_v their_o parent_n when_o with_o their_o help_n and_o counsel_n they_o aid_v they_o in_o their_o old_a age_n and_o unwieldy_a crookedness_n when_o they_o ease_v and_o help_v they_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o need_n or_o succour_v 17._o they_o otherwise_o in_o any_o case_n else_o and_o do_v whole_o bestow_v themselves_o and_o all_o that_o they_o 16._o have_v to_o do_v they_o good_a withal_o yea_o they_o ought_v not_o to_o give_v they_o a_o rough_a or_o stubborn_a answer_n or_o once_o so_o much_o as_o to_o mumble_v of_o 〈◊〉_d a_o answer_n against_o their_o parent_n they_o they_o please_v god_n and_o when_o they_o disobey_v they_o they_o disobey_v god_n when_o their_o parent_n be_v just_o angry_a with_o they_o god_n be_v angry_a with_o they_o neither_o can_v it_o be_v that_o they_o may_v come_v to_o have_v the_o favour_n of_o god_n again_o no_o although_o all_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n shall_v entreat_v for_o they_o until_o they_o have_v submit_v themselves_o to_o their_o father_n and_o mother_n if_o child_n and_o servant_n will_v always_o keep_v in_o mind_n this_o say_n so_o to_o do_v and_o behave_v themselves_o to_o their_o parent_n master_n and_o dame_n as_o they_o will_v have_v their_o child_n and_o servant_n to_o do_v and_o behave_v themselves_o to_o they_o when_o god_n 12._o shall_v vouchsafe_v to_o make_v they_o parent_n master_n or_o dame_n then_o no_o doubt_n they_o will_v obey_v and_o reverence_v their_o parent_n and_o master_n and_o dame_n more_o dutiful_o and_o faithful_o then_o now_o they_o do_v for_o let_v they_o to_o do_v or_o say_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v to_o be_v think_v well_o of_o for_o example_n jonathan_n obey_v not_o his_o father_n saul_n commandment_n who_o charge_v he_o to_o 19_o persecute_v david_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v worthy_o commend_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n for_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o first_o table_n be_v always_o to_o be_v prefer_v before_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o second_o table_n this_o subjection_n therefore_o that_o child_n owe_v unto_o their_o father_n aught_o in_o very_a deed_n to_o be_v unto_o they_o as_o a_o ladder_n or_o stair_n to_o lead_v they_o to_o the_o reverence_n and_o obedience_n of_o god_n who_o be_v our_o 9_o chief_a father_n as_o child_n receive_v of_o their_o parent_n three_o thing_n to_o wit_n life_n maintenance_n and_o instruction_n so_o for_o these_o three_o they_o owe_v other_o three_o namely_o for_o life_n they_o owe_v love_n for_o maintenance_n they_o owe_v obedience_n for_o instruction_n they_o owe_v reverence_n for_o their_o life_n they_o must_v fervent_o love_v their_o parent_n for_o their_o maintenance_n they_o must_v dutiful_o obey_v their_o parent_n as_o master_n and_o for_o their_o instruction_n they_o must_v cheerful_o reverence_v their_o parent_n as_o their_o tutor_n and_o further_o child_n must_v remember_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v to_o they_o their_o parent_n to_o take_v of_o they_o their_o beginning_n of_o life_n and_o that_o they_o may_v nourish_v and_o bring_v they_o up_o and_o that_o of_o rude_a and_o almost_o brutish_a thing_n they_o may_v make_v they_o able_a to_o help_v and_o live_v of_o themseluer_n yea_o and_o such_o mother_n as_o be_v godly_a and_o virtuous_a do_v suffer_v and_o endure_v more_o pain_n and_o grief_n in_o the_o bear_n bring_v up_o and_o nourish_v of_o their_o child_n than_o the_o father_n do_v so_o that_o great_a be_v the_o pleasure_n and_o good_a turn_v that_o christian_a parent_n do_v for_o their_o child_n great_a be_v the_o cost_n and_o labour_n that_o they_o bestow_v on_o they_o and_o great_a be_v the_o care_n grief_n and_o trouble_v which_o they_o take_v for_o they_o than_o any_o man_n how_o learned_a soever_o he_o be_v be_v able_a to_o express_v and_o therefore_o if_o there_o be_v no_o other_o reason_n or_o cause_n to_o move_v child_n great_o to_o love_n to_o esteem_v well_o to_o obey_v to_o be_v kind_a faithful_a and_o dutiful_a and_o to_o reverence_v their_o parent_n and_o that_o with_o such_o a_o reverence_n as_o come_v from_o the_o heart_n yet_o these_o be_v sufficient_a maid_n and_o young_a woman_n be_v to_o be_v put_v in_o mind_n and_o always_o to_o remember_v that_o the_o best_a portion_n the_o great_a inheritance_n and_o the_o most_o precious_a jewel_n that_o they_o can_v bring_v with_o they_o on_o the_o marriage_n day_n be_v shamefastness_n the_o want_n whereof_o be_v most_o hurtful_a in_o all_o woman_n and_o therefore_o they_o must_v careful_o shun_v and_o avoid_v all_o idle_a and_o wanton_a talk_n nice_a look_n dalliance_n and_o light_a countenance_n when_o they_o walk_v abroad_o or_o be_v in_o company_n a_o man_n need_v many_o thing_n as_o wisdom_n eloquence_n knowledge_n of_o thing_n remembrance_n skill_n in_o some_o trade_n or_o craft_n to_o live_v by_o justice_n courage_n and_o other_o thing_n and_o quality_n more_o which_o be_v too_o long_o to_o rehearse_v and_o though_o some_o of_o these_o be_v lack_v yet_o be_v he_o not_o to_o be_v mislike_v so_o that_o he_o have_v many_o of_o they_o but_o in_o a_o maid_n no_o man_n will_v look_v for_o eloquence_n great_a wit_n order_v of_o the_o commonwealth_n prudence_n etc._n etc._n final_o no_o man_n will_v look_v for_o any_o other_o thing_n of_o a_o woman_n but_o her_o honesty_n the_o which_o treasure_n only_a if_o it_o be_v lack_v she_o be_v like_o a_o man_n that_o want_v all_o that_o he_o shall_v have_v for_o in_o a_o maid_n her_o honesty_n and_o chastity_n be_v in_o stead_n of_o all_o she_o very_o may_v true_o be_v say_v to_o be_v a_o evil_a keeper_n that_o can_v keep_v one_o thing_n well_o commit_v to_o her_o keep_n and_o put_v in_o trust_n to_o she_o with_o much_o commendation_n of_o word_n and_o especial_o which_o no_o man_n will_v take_v from_o she_o against_o her_o will_n nor_o touch_v it_o except_o she_o be_v willing_a herself_o the_o which_o thing_n only_o if_o a_o woman_n remember_v it_o will_v cause_v she_o to_o take_v great_a heed_n unto_o and_o to_o be_v a_o more_o wary_a and_o careful_a keeper_n of_o her_o honesty_n which_o alone_o be_v lose_v though_o all_o other_o thing_n be_v never_o so_o well_o and_o safe_a yet_o they_o perish_v together_o therewith_o because_o she_o that_o have_v once_o lose_v her_o honesty_n shall_v think_v there_o be_v nothing_o leave_v take_v from_o a_o maid_n or_o
god_n take_v away_o such_o obedient_a child_n before_o they_o be_v old_a yea_o before_o they_o come_v unto_o man_n estate_n whether_o it_o be_v lest_o malice_n shall_v corrupt_v their_o heart_n or_o
