far_o off_o but_o spirit_n be_v quick_a whether_o in_o the_o body_n or_o out_o of_o the_o body_n their_o motion_n be_v swift_a they_o be_v not_o so_o heavy_a or_o dull_a as_o these_o earthly_a lump_n nor_o so_o slow_a of_o motion_n as_o these_o clod_n of_o flesh_n i_o will_v not_o have_v you_o cast_v off_o your_o other_o meditation_n but_o sure_o as_o heaven_n have_v the_o pre-eminence_n in_o perfection_n so_o shall_v it_o have_v the_o pre-eminence_n also_o in_o our_o meditation_n that_o which_o will_v make_v we_o most_o happy_a when_o we_o possess_v it_o will_v make_v we_o most_o joyful_a when_o we_o meditate_v upon_o it_o especial_o when_o that_o meditation_n be_v a_o degree_n of_o possession_n if_o it_o be_v such_o affect_a meditation_n as_o i_o here_o describe_v you_o need_v not_o here_o be_v trouble_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o world_n lest_o study_v so_o much_o on_o these_o high_a matter_n shall_v craze_v your_o brain_n and_o make_v you_o mad_a unless_o you_o will_v go_v distract_v or_o distemper_v indeed_o but_o it_o be_v your_o affection_n more_o than_o your_o wit_n and_o invention_n that_o must_v be_v use_v in_o this_o heavenly_a employment_n we_o speak_v of_o they_o be_v truth_n which_o be_v common_o know_v and_o profess_v which_o your_o soul_n must_v draw_v forth_o and_o feed_v upon_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o body_n and_o the_o life_n everlasting_a require_v they_o to_o have_v their_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n and_o to_o set_v their_o affection_n on_o thing_n above_o so_o do_v they_o wilful_o make_v their_o own_o life_n miserable_a by_o refuse_v the_o delight_n that_o god_n have_v set_v before_o they_o and_o yet_o if_o this_o be_v all_o it_o be_v a_o small_a matter_n if_o it_o be_v but_o the_o loss_n of_o their_o comfort_n i_o will_v not_o say_v so_o much_o but_o see_v what_o abundance_n of_o other_o mischief_n do_v follow_v the_o absence_n of_o these_o heavenly_a delight_n first_o it_o will_v damp_n if_o not_o destroy_v our_o very_a love_n to_o god_n so_o deep_o as_o we_o apprehend_v his_o bounty_n and_o exceed_a love_n to_o we_o and_o his_o purpose_n to_o make_v we_o eternal_o happy_a so_o much_o will_v it_o raise_v our_o worldliness_n or_o wickedness_n but_o that_o these_o be_v more_o pleasant_a to_o they_o then_o god_n four_o it_o will_v make_v man_n have_v no_o delight_n in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n when_o they_o have_v no_o delight_n in_o god_n nor_o any_o sweet_a thought_n of_o heaven_n which_o be_v the_o end_n of_o their_o service_n no_o wonder_n if_o such_o christian_n complain_v that_o they_o be_v still_o backward_o to_o duty_n that_o they_o have_v no_o delight_n in_o prayer_n in_o sacrament_n or_o in_o scripture_n itself_o if_o thou_o can_v once_o delight_v in_o god_n thou_o will_v easy_o delight_v
