howsoever_o there_o may_v be_v some_o reason_n for_o difference_n about_o the_o inheritance_n and_o their_o father_n good_n yet_o for_o chip_n and_o feather_n to_o contend_v may_v argue_v lack_n of_o wit_n or_o good_a will_n or_o of_o both_o dial_n viii_o verse_n 17_o 18_o 19_o 20._o but_o righteousness_n peace_n and_o joy_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o whosoever_o in_o these_o thing_n serve_v christ_n be_v please_v to_o god_n and_o approve_v of_o man_n let_v we_o then_o follow_v etc._n etc._n tim._n what_o do_v this_o text_n contain_v silas_n first_o the_o condition_n or_o part_n of_o christ_n kingdom_n which_o consist_v not_o in_o meat_n or_o in_o other_o external_a thing_n burr_n in_o thing_n inward_a and_o spiritual_a to_o wit_n righteousness_n peace_n and_o joy_n such_o as_o be_v to_o embrace_v that_o and_o to_o put_v away_o strife_n about_o other_o unnecessary_a thing_n verse_n 19_o but_o lest_o we_o shall_v think_v that_o every_o kind_n of_o peace_n shall_v be_v soul_n as_o that_o follow_v justification_n by_o faith_n roman_n 5_o 2._o by_o joy._n joy_n be_v understand_v the_o sweet_a motion_n of_o a_o christian_a soul_n cheer_v up_o and_o make_v glad_a partly_o by_o present_a sense_n of_o god_n love_v shed_v into_o the_o heart_n and_o partly_o out_o of_o hope_n of_o the_o reward_n to_o come_v rom._n 5_o 3_o 5_o 6._o of_o this_o joy_n christ_n say_v what_o be_v the_o doctrine_n from_o these_o word_n silas_n that_o thing_n which_o be_v necessary_a to_o the_o kingdom_n doctrine_n that_o be_v to_o religion_n and_o salvation_n they_o be_v spiritual_a and_o inward_a thing_n such_o as_o by_o the_o holy-ghost_n be_v wrought_v in_o the_o soul_n as_o namely_o justification_n by_o faith_n peace_n of_o conscience_n joy_n in_o the_o holy-ghost_n which_o be_v not_o so_o to_o be_v take_v but_o that_o charity_n repentance_n godliness_n meekness_n patience_n temperance_n truth_n goodness_n fidelity_n etc._n etc._n do_v belong_v to_o the_o kingdom_n but_o these_o three_o be_v here_o name_v as_o chief_a and_o cause_n or_o ground_n of_o the_o rest_n which_o be_v unseparable_o link_v to_o these_o for_o justify_v faith_n
