eternal_a damnation_n thereby_o although_o through_o the_o law_n of_o his_o member_n which_o rebel_n against_o the_o law_n of_o his_o mind_n and_o through_o ignorance_n and_o the_o malice_n and_o subtlety_n of_o the_o devil_n he_o be_v much_o distract_v on_o the_o other_o side_n and_o hinder_v from_o that_o which_o he_o see_v he_o ought_v to_o do_v until_o experience_n have_v make_v he_o better_o acquaint_v with_o it_o but_o this_o be_v the_o battle_n which_o he_o must_v feel_v and_o have_v with_o his_o lust_n and_o which_o every_o true_a believer_n must_v be_v exercise_v with_o this_o perform_v by_o we_o to_o have_v all_o good_a necessary_n provide_v they_o at_o our_o hand_n as_o food_n and_o raiment_n with_o what_o soever_o else_o convenient_a for_o they_o that_o they_o must_v feed_v themselves_o with_o folly_n and_o take_v their_o fill_n in_o vanity_n till_o their_o misery_n overtake_v they_o in_o the_o mid_a way_n and_o destruction_n meet_v with_o they_o when_o discouragement_n also_o and_o hindrance_n will_v be_v ready_a here_o to_o stand_v in_o our_o way_n as_o household_n trouble_v and_o disquietness_n by_o they_o disorder_n in_o servant_n and_o child_n untowardness_n and_o ill_a success_n in_o business_n want_v of_o blessing_n sometime_o where_o it_o be_v hope_v for_o loss_n etc._n etc._n also_o much_o toil_a &_o occupy_v ourselves_o about_o these_o thing_n below_o with_o neglect_n of_o our_o heavenly_a and_o christian_n calling_n these_o be_v some_o of_o a_o great_a number_n and_o the_o common_a whereby_o holy_a duty_n do_v most_o easy_o grow_v out_o of_o place_n and_o use_v with_o us._n let_v this_o rule_n therefore_o say_v we_o be_v well_o regard_v of_o we_o and_o that_o which_o follow_v shall_v be_v the_o easy_a for_o many_o loathsome_a weariness_n will_v in_o short_a time_n arise_v which_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a will_v break_v we_o off_o from_o this_o enterprise_n only_o after_o this_o we_o say_v that_o if_o we_o with_o become_v irksome_a and_o tedious_a to_o we_o and_o though_o we_o do_v not_o utter_o break_v they_o off_o yet_o we_o may_v perceive_v that_o without_o any_o great_a sweetness_n and_o delight_n we_o go_v about_o they_o the_o reason_n hereof_o be_v that_o our_o fleshly_a heart_n can_v like_v of_o no_o good_a thing_n long_o if_o therefore_o either_o of_o these_o two_o way_n we_o deprive_v ourselves_o of_o the_o benefit_n of_o grow_v forward_o by_o these_o forename_a remedy_n that_o be_v by_o the_o negligent_a use_v of_o they_o or_o the_o leave_v off_o of_o they_o yet_o the_o fault_n must_v be_v quick_o espy_v and_o not_o long_o lyen_fw-we in_o for_o that_o be_v more_o dangerous_a then_o can_v easy_o be_v believe_v to_o the_o better_a attain_v hereof_o we_o may_v understand_v great_a hindrance_n therein_o be_v remove_v or_o at_o least_o resist_v which_o shall_v not_o be_v hard_a to_o do_v if_o we_o daily_o consider_v that_o he_o have_v promise_v to_o make_v we_o fit_v the_o former_a that_o the_o lord_n have_v in_o give_v this_o gift_n unto_o his_o child_n bestow_v a_o unualuable_a blessing_n and_o prerogative_n upon_o they_o and_o let_v we_o wait_v for_o and_o the_o foremost_a though_o they_o i_o mean_v the_o godly_a be_v not_o void_a of_o the_o sin_n which_o i_o have_v speak_v of_o yet_o that_o hinder_v not_o the_o honour_n which_o god_n have_v set_v they_o in_o and_o give_v unto_o they_o cause_n for_o there_o be_v leave_v in_o the_o most_o holy_a a_o strife_n betwixt_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o flesh_n and_o that_o for_o this_o purpose_n by_o the_o lord_n himself_o even_o in_o his_o elect_a as_o the_o apostle_n teach_v by_o his_o own_o example_n not_o that_o they_o shall_v perish_v but_o partly_o lest_o they_o shall_v look_v to_o triumph_v before_o the_o victory_n which_o sathan_n will_v most_v of_o all_o wish_n partly_o that_o the_o best_a man_n be_v privy_a to_o their_o own_o weakness_n and_o that_o throughout_o their_o life_n may_v grant_v that_o it_o be_v a_o speech_n of_o a_o man_n little_a consider_v what_o he_o say_v but_o which_o have_v forget_v what_o great_a mercy_n he_o have_v receive_v yea_o what_o he_o himself_o have_v sometime_o utter_v i_o if_o we_o have_v receive_v prosperity_n from_o the_o lord_n why_o shall_v we_o not_o suffer_v adversity_n in_o that_o he_o earnest_o wish_a deliverance_n from_o his_o god_n but_o from_o hence_o in_o great_a part_n that_o they_o do_v quench_v the_o work_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o themselves_o &_o can_v tell_v how_o to_o quicken_v up_o themselves_o again_o nor_o to_o arise_v when_o they_o be_v fall_v &_o to_o return_v when_o they_o be_v go_v out_o of_o the_o way_n nor_o to_o guide_v themselves_o from_o one_o duty_n to_o another_o i_o know_v that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o virtue_n nor_o the_o power_n of_o outward_a mean_n use_v nor_o of_o any_o direction_n that_o can_v bring_v our_o life_n in_o frame_n but_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o virtue_n when_o they_o be_v
