they_o aim_v at_o nothing_o else_o but_o that_o they_o may_v eat_v a_o piece_n of_o bread_n that_o they_o may_v have_v wherewithal_o to_o keep_v themselves_o and_o their_o relation_n alive_a if_o submit_v to_o his_o providence_n in_o thus_o dispose_v of_o thing_n and_o in_o allot_v they_o so_o slender_a a_o portion_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n and_o put_v they_o to_o get_v their_o livelihood_n in_o so_o painful_a and_o laborious_a a_o way_n and_o last_o as_o low_a as_o their_o condition_n be_v do_v they_o seek_v to_o honour_n god_n in_o it_o as_o much_o as_o they_o can_v if_o they_o do_v so_o than_o they_o do_v faithful_o what_o they_o do_v in_o their_o mean_a condition_n and_o they_o may_v assure_v themselves_o that_o as_o their_o eye_n be_v on_o god_n so_o god_n eye_n be_v on_o they_o he_o take_v notice_n of_o their_o faithfulness_n and_o will_v assure_o reward_v it_o but_o how_o few_o be_v they_o who_o look_v so_o high_a as_o to_o mind_n god_n at_o all_o or_o in_o the_o least_o study_n to_o approve_v themselves_o to_o he_o a_o four_o instance_n shall_v be_v in_o servant_n though_o there_o be_v never_o more_o complaint_n of_o the_o carelessness_n and_o unfaithfulness_n of_o servant_n and_o perhaps_o never_o more_o cause_n for_o such_o complaint_n yet_o there_o be_v those_o who_o be_v diligent_a and_o faithful_a and_o can_v just_o be_v charge_v with_o idleness_n or_o unfaithfulness_n or_o with_o any_o of_o those_o other_o usual_a fault_n for_o which_o servant_n be_v blame_v and_o yet_o even_o among_o these_o who_o be_v the_o best_a and_o most_o careful_a to_o please_v those_o who_o they_o serve_v and_o who_o do_v all_o they_o can_v to_o give_v they_o content_a how_o few_o be_v there_o who_o eye_n be_v upon_o their_o master_n in_o heaven_n and_o who_o great_a care_n it_o be_v so_o to_o discharge_v the_o duty_n of_o their_o place_n as_o to_o please_v he_o who_o according_a to_o the_o apostle_n injunction_n beforementioned_a do_v service_n with_o singleness_n of_o heart_n as_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o not_o unto_o man_n who_o do_v all_o the_o service_n which_o they_o owe_v to_o man_n as_o unto_o christ_n study_v to_o please_v parent_n and_o child_n to_o put_v they_o together_o as_o for_o many_o parent_n they_o be_v not_o without_o natural_a love_n affection_n and_o tenderness_n for_o their_o child_n in_o their_o young_a year_n they_o be_v willing_a to_o take_v any_o pain_n with_o they_o they_o can_v cheerful_o undergo_v much_o trouble_n for_o they_o and_o when_o they_o be_v grow_v up_o they_o be_v full_a of_o careful_a thought_n about_o they_o and_o so_o studious_a of_o their_o temporal_a welfare_n that_o they_o think_v they_o can_v never_o do_v enough_o to_o promote_v it_o and_o yet_o it_o be_v possible_a that_o very_o little_a of_o all_o this_o may_v be_v do_v in_o obedience_n to_o god_n and_o with_o respect_n to_o his_o authority_n and_o command_n who_o as_o he_o have_v furnish_v they_o with_o natural_a affection_n to_o put_v they_o on_o to_o do_v for_o their_o child_n so_o he_o have_v by_o his_o command_n make_v it_o their_o duty_n without_o regard_n of_o which_o command_n they_o do_v these_o thing_n not_o otherwise_o than_o the_o brute_n beast_n feed_v tender_a and_o protect_v their_o young_a by_o natural_a instinct_n and_o from_o that_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d or_o inbred_a affection_n which_o both_o strong_o incline_v they_o to_o do_v it_o and_o enable_v they_o to_o do_v it_o with_o delight_n and_o pleasure_n that_o many_o parent_n be_v lead_v to_o all_o that_o careful_a and_o solicitous_a travel_n and_o labour_n of_o love_n which_o they_o undergo_v for_o child_n by_o no_o high_a principle_n or_o inducement_n be_v manifest_a because_o if_o the_o command_n of_o god_n do_v prevail_v with_o they_o it_o will_v also_o make_v they_o conscientious_o industrious_a in_o discharge_v their_o duty_n to_o their_o soul_n which_o god_n have_v as_o strict_o enjoin_v and_o which_o he_o look_v after_o as_o much_o yea_o much_o more_o as_o the_o soul_n be_v more_o worth_a and_o the_o everlasting_a miscarry_v thereof_o of_o high_a consequence_n than_o that_o of_o their_o temporal_a welfare_n but_o here_o how_o miserable_o do_v they_o neglect_v they_o and_o betray_v their_o soul_n to_o sin_n satan_n and_o hell_n while_o they_o neither_o bestow_v any_o pain_n upon_o they_o to_o instruct_v they_o in_o the_o principle_n of_o religion_n and_o their_o duty_n to_o god_n nor_o use_v any_o effectual_a mean_n for_o prevent_v and_o restrain_v sin_n in_o they_o but_o neither_o be_v this_o the_o only_a evidence_n of_o their_o perform_a no_o part_n of_o their_o duty_n to_o they_o in_o obedience_n to_o god_n for_o if_o they_o do_v then_o will_v the_o same_o command_n and_o authority_n of_o god_n also_o engage_v they_o to_o reform_v their_o own_o life_n and_o frame_v their_o conversation_n according_a to_o the_o rule_n then_o will_v they_o not_o as_o many_o of_o they_o do_v allow_v themselves_o in_o sinful_a way_n slight_v god_n authority_n and_o cast_v his_o word_n behind_o their_o back_n and_o what_o have_v be_v speak_v of_o parent_n the_o same_o likewise_o may_v be_v say_v of_o child_n i_o speak_v of_o child_n grow_v up_o to_o year_n of_o some_o discretion_n and_o able_a to_o put_v a_o difference_n between_o good_a and_o evil_n they_o obey_v their_o parent_n some_o of_o they_o i_o mean_v though_o many_o other_o be_v undutiful_a headstrong_a and_o rebellious_a i_o say_v the_o better_a sort_n of_o child_n obey_v their_o parent_n be_v unwilling_a to_o offend_v they_o or_o incur_v their_o displeasure_n but_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o the_o command_n of_o god_n that_o sway_v they_o or_o prevail_v with_o they_o it_o be_v because_o they_o stand_v in_o some_o awe_n of_o their_o parent_n but_o not_o because_o they_o stand_v in_o awe_n of_o god_n who_o have_v threaten_v to_o punish_v stubborn_a and_o disobedient_a child_n and_o have_v promise_v to_o reward_v such_o of_o they_o as_o be_v dutiful_a tractable_a and_o obedient_a as_o be_v imply_v in_o the_o motive_n annex_v to_o the_o five_o commandment_n it_o be_v because_o of_o their_o dependence_n on_o they_o and_o in_o regard_n they_o live_v in_o expectation_n of_o further_a kindness_n from_o they_o but_o not_o with_o respect_n to_o god_n command_n who_o have_v say_v honour_v thy_o father_n and_o thy_o mother_n and_o child_n obey_v your_o parent_n for_o this_o be_v well-pleasing_a unto_o god_n alas_o this_o consideration_n that_o it_o be_v well-pleasing_a unto_o
