the_o former_a of_o these_o may_v think_v thus_o with_o themselves_o see_v this_o our_o sickness_n and_o weakness_n be_v a_o judgement_n of_o god_n upon_o we_o what_o hope_n can_v we_o have_v in_o he_o and_o the_o latter_a may_v say_v see_v god_n have_v take_v away_o our_o friend_n in_o judgement_n alas_o what_o be_v become_v of_o their_o soul_n the_o apostle_n to_o comfort_v they_o against_o such_o sad_a thought_n as_o these_o tell_v they_o that_o this_o be_v indeed_o a_o judgement_n upon_o they_o but_o a_o judgement_n only_o of_o castigation_n for_o their_o reformation_n that_o so_o they_o may_v escape_v the_o judgement_n of_o eternal_a condemnation_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v again_o st._n paul_n include_v himself_o in_o the_o number_n of_o those_o that_o be_v thus_o judge_v for_o he_o say_v not_o that_o those_o man_n only_o that_o come_v irreverent_o to_o the_o lord_n table_n be_v judge_v but_o when_o we_o be_v judge_v speak_v of_o himself_o and_o all_o believer_n we_o be_v chastened_a of_o the_o lord_n 8.1_o rom._n 8.1_o three_o he_o inform_v we_o how_o happy_a the_o end_n and_o issue_n of_o this_o judgement_n of_o castigation_n be_v to_o all_o not_o possible_a therefore_o that_o st._n paul_n shall_v speak_v only_o of_o wicked_a hypocrite_n when_o he_o say_v for_o this_o cause_n many_o be_v sick_a and_o weak_a among_o you_o and_o many_o the_o trevant_n and_o neglect_v his_o book_n do_v both_o of_o they_o deserve_v the_o rod_n of_o correction_n their_o fault_n which_o they_o have_v commit_v be_v causa_fw-la meritoria_fw-la the_o merit_a cause_n of_o their_o correction_n though_o the_o final_a cause_n or_o the_o end_n of_o such_o correction_n be_v their_o reformation_n and_o even_o so_o also_o by_o a_o like_a reason_n do_v god_n child_n when_o they_o forget_v their_o duty_n and_o wax_v wanton_a against_o their_o heavenly_a father_n deserve_v to_o be_v correct_v by_o he_o for_o their_o amendment_n object_n but_o here_o it_o may_v be_v say_v god_n correct_v his_o child_n in_o love_n for_o their_o good_a answ_n now_o what_o can_v they_o by_o their_o sin_n be_v say_v to_o deserve_v good_a and_o not_o rather_o evil_a for_o answer_v hereunto_o i_o say_v that_o although_o the_o affliction_n of_o god_n child_n be_v good_a unto_o they_o in_o their_o end_n and_o issue_n whereunto_o they_o be_v sanctify_v and_o direct_v by_o god_n in_o which_o regard_n god_n child_n do_v say_v with_o david_n 12.11_o heb._n 12.11_o it_o be_v good_a for_o i_o that_o i_o have_v be_v afflict_v for_o before_o i_o be_v afflict_v i_o go_v physician_n who_o by_o bitter_a pill_n or_o potion_n purge_v away_o the_o ill-humor_n which_o his_o delicious_a cup_n and_o sweet_a morsel_n breed_v in_o his_o body_n so_o when_o god_n child_n do_v satisfy_v their_o carnal_a lust_n and_o surfeit_v upon_o sin_n they_o deserve_v the_o bitter_a pill_n of_o affliction_n which_o when_o the_o heavenly_a physician_n of_o their_o soul_n shall_v administer_v unto_o they_o they_o have_v cause_n with_o job_n not_o only_o to_o be_v patient_a and_o content_v but_o thankful_o to_o submit_v themselves_o unto_o his_o correction_n and_o to_o say_v 2.10_o job_n 2.10_o shall_v we_o receive_v good_a at_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o not_o receive_v evil_a you_o see_v then_o that_o the_o affliction_n of_o god_n child_n be_v evil_a in_o themselves_o though_o good_a in_o their_o end_n the_o force_n of_o this_o reason_n object_n our_o adversary_n do_v think_v to_o avoid_v by_o say_v that_o a_o father_n be_v indeed_o angry_a with_o his_o child_n when_o they_o offend_v he_o and_o correct_v they_o for_o their_o fault_n but_o so_o do_v not_o god_n to_o his_o child_n for_o he_o be_v never_o angry_a with_o any_o of_o they_o because_o christ_n have_v bear_v all_o their_o sin_n and_o pacify_v his_o father_n wrath_n for_o ever_o this_o objection_n i_o shall_v not_o need_v here_o to_o answer_v answ_n for_o i_o have_v remove_v it_o in_o the_o former_a question_n where_o i_o show_v that_o christ_n have_v free_v we_o from_o god_n revenge_a wrath_n which_o will_v have_v overwhelm_v we_o in_o perdition_n and_o destruction_n everlasting_a but_o not_o from_o his_o paternal_a indignation_n which_o tend_v to_o the_o furtherance_n of_o our_o sanctification_n and_o salvation_n and_o therefore_o it_o will_v not_o be_v for_o our_o good_a but_o to_o our_o hurt_n if_o he_o shall_v not_o thus_o cause_v we_o to_o feel_v his_o anger_n when_o we_o forget_v ourselves_o and_o go_v a_o stray_n from_o he_o i_o will_v know_v also_o wherefore_o god_n call_v himself_o our_o father_n and_o we_o his_o child_n but_o because_o he_o deal_v with_o we_o as_o a_o father_n do_v with_o his_o child_n as_o in_o other_o respect_n so_o
