to_o serve_v other_o god_n for_o the_o lord_n bring_v we_o and_o our_o father_n out_o of_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n from_o the_o house_n of_o bondage_n and_o he_o do_v those_o great_a miracle_n in_o our_o sight_n and_o preserve_v we_o in_o all_o the_o way_n that_o we_o go_v and_o among_o all_o the_o people_n through_o who_o we_o come_v and_o the_o lord_n do_v cast_v out_o all_o the_o people_n even_o the_o amorite_n which_o dwell_v in_o the_o land_n therefore_o will_v we_o serve_v the_o lord_n for_o he_o be_v our_o god._n they_o gather_v by_o these_o benefit_n that_o he_o be_v their_o god_n and_o conclude_v therefore_o that_o they_o will_v serve_v the_o lord_n because_o he_o be_v their_o god_n and_o have_v be_v so_o singular_o good_a &_o beneficial_a unto_o they_o and_o in_o very_a deed_n this_o persuasion_n that_o he_o be_v our_o god_n and_o so_o tender_o affect_v towards_o we_o be_v the_o mother_n of_o all_o true_a obedience_n the_o fountain_n from_o whence_o flow_v all_o true_a worship_n and_o service_n of_o god_n the_o note_n that_o discern_v between_o the_o work_n of_o a_o true_a christian_a and_o the_o deed_n of_o a_o infidel_n or_o heathen_a man_n the_o christian_n work_v his_o obedience_n have_v this_o persuasion_n that_o god_n be_v already_o his_o god_o the_o infidel_n and_o unbeliever_n have_v no_o such_o persuasion_n and_o therefore_o his_o do_n come_v not_o frank_o and_o free_o from_o he_o to_o honour_v the_o lord_n but_o slavish_o and_o servile_o to_o serve_v himself_o and_o after_o that_o manner_n as_o it_o be_v to_o get_v within_o the_o lord_n and_o to_o earn_v his_o salvation_n of_o himself_o it_o be_v this_o faith_n which_o make_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o abel_n and_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o cain_n as_o the_o scripture_n do_v declare_v it_o be_v this_o faith_n that_o make_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o continency_n that_o we_o have_v read_v to_o have_v be_v in_o infidel_n and_o pagan_n and_o that_o which_o be_v in_o christian_n between_o the_o mercy_n and_o alm_n that_o proceed_v oftentimes_o from_o civil_a man_n and_o that_o merciful_a relief_n that_o come_v from_o christian_n it_o be_v this_o persuasion_n of_o his_o goodness_n that_o justify_v the_o one_o whereas_o the_o other_o want_v this_o be_v odious_a &_o hateful_a in_o his_o sight_n it_o be_v this_o persuasion_n that_o god_n be_v so_o rich_a in_o goodness_n as_o to_o accept_v of_o we_o which_o send_v we_o to_o the_o true_a service_n of_o he_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o only_o content_v to_o say_v that_o he_o be_v their_o god_o but_o also_o to_o bring_v good_a evidence_n for_o the_o same_o in_o put_v they_o in_o mind_n of_o that_o singular_a benefit_n of_o their_o deliverance_n from_o egypt_n which_o he_o have_v bestow_v upon_o they_o we_o learn_v then_o in_o this_o commandment_n which_o charge_v we_o that_o we_o take_v the_o lord_n for_o our_o god_n that_o he_o have_v take_v upon_o himself_o the_o provision_n to_o store_v we_o with_o grace_n and_o blessing_n both_o for_o this_o life_n and_o for_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o will_v have_v the_o honour_n and_o glory_n of_o it_o himself_o alone_o because_o he_o will_v declare_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o grace_n towards_o his_o faithful_a people_n and_o by_o his_o deal_n with_o they_o be_v know_v to_o be_v their_o god_n therefore_o he_o credit_n or_o life_n &_o see_v not_o the_o ordinary_a mean_n by_o which_o it_o be_v likely_a he_o shall_v escape_v the_o danger_n let_v it_o they_o be_v tell_v he_o that_o god_n be_v his_o god_n &_o have_v a_o love_n towards_o he_o and_o a_o care_n over_o he_o &_o will_v in_o his_o time_n by_o lawful_a mean_n provide_v for_o he_o yet_o notwithstanding_o his_o wit_n neither_o conceve_v this_o persuasion_n nor_o his_o will_n &_o affection_n be_v any_o thing_n make_v joyful_a or_o comfort_v thereby_o as_o one_o that_o desirous_o incline_v after_o the_o hope_n thereof_o which_o be_v declare_v by_o this_o that_o
the_o signification_n of_o a_o verb_n transitive_a and_o therefore_o thus_o it_o may_v very_o well_o be_v translate_v that_o they_o mean_v thy_o parent_n may_v prolong_v thy_o day_n make_v the_o servant_n and_o yet_o be_v there_o never_o any_o time_n when_o servant_n have_v just_a cause_n to_o complain_v of_o undutiful_a master_n for_o where_o be_v those_o master_n to_o be_v find_v that_o have_v any_o just_a regard_n of_o the_o sweat_n of_o their_o servant_n which_o be_v their_o blood_n bestow_v in_o their_o service_n how_o slender_o be_v they_o recompense_v when_o they_o have_v spend_v their_o young_a year_n the_o flower_n of_o their_o life_n upon_o they_o yet_o even_o reason_n will_v that_o see_v the_o lord_n have_v lay_v the_o maintenance_n of_o their_o life_n upon_o their_o labour_n and_o travel_v which_o their_o master_n have_v eat_v up_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o cruel_o unkind_a as_o after_o their_o long_a service_n to_o send_v they_o away_o with_o a_o empty_a hand_n i_o omit_v to_o speak_v how_o little_a the_o care_n be_v of_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n the_o number_n of_o those_o parent_n which_o careful_o perform_v this_o duty_n towards_o their_o child_n to_o make_v they_o learned_a in_o the_o law_n of_o their_o god_n be_v as_o small_a and_o where_o shall_v we_o find_v any_o number_n of_o such_o magistrate_n as_o of_o labour_n &_o subjection_n which_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n otherwise_o can_v hardly_o digest_v as_o in_o a_o man_n body_n more_o labour_n or_o cost_n be_v bestow_v about_o those_o part_n that_o have_v the_o least_o beauty_n and_o form_n in_o themselves_o in_o so_o much_o that_o those_o part_n which_o as_o they_o be_v of_o themselves_o dare_v least_o abide_v the_o eye_n be_v set_v forth_o with_o more_o beauty_n to_o the_o eye_n thereby_o after_o a_o manner_n have_v recompense_n of_o their_o want_n in_o the_o body_n so_o in_o the_o body_n of_o the_o common_a wealth_n and_o in_o the_o society_n of_o man_n tender_a regard_n of_o superior_n and_o amiable_a affection_n towards_o those_o that_o be_v under_o they_o shall_v bear_v up_o a_o part_n of_o that_o heavy_a burden_n of_o
