he_o whether_o it_o be_v employ_v in_o the_o contemplation_n of_o his_o perfection_n or_o seek_v active_o to_o advance_v his_o great_a glory_n for_o as_o god_n be_v not_o only_o present_a to_o we_o by_o his_o essence_n &_o knowledge_n but_o also_o by_o his_o power_n and_o activity_n so_o the_o best_a method_n of_o frame_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v to_o consider_v he_o play_v the_o good_a operarius_fw-la and_o direct_v his_o action_n to_o our_o behoof_n who_o will_v not_o become_v active_a on_o god_n behalf_n since_o he_o work_v all_o in_o all_o for_o we_o but_o yet_o though_o a_o soul_n surcease_v from_o this_o she_o shall_v not_o therefore_o die_v by_o sin_n but_o will_v be_v like_o one_o that_o be_v a_o sleep_n not_o dead_a but_o yet_o scarce_o alive_a as_o not_o enjoy_v the_o use_n of_o life_n so_o a_o soul_n that_o be_v in_o oblivion_n of_o her_o god_n though_o she_o be_v not_o void_a of_o life_n yet_o she_o be_v in_o so_o sound_a a_o sleep_n that_o she_o reap_v that_o otherwise_o be_v hold_v spiritual_a do_v ordinary_o forfeit_n this_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v also_o the_o sense_n of_o grace_n for_o without_o it_o the_o soul_n lie_v like_o one_o in_o a_o palsy_n the_o palsy_n be_v a_o disease_n not_o a_o death_n but_o it_o deprive_v one_o limb_n of_o all_o sense_n and_o vital_a motion_n life_n and_o grace_n be_v then_o to_o small_a purpose_n when_o the_o memory_n of_o god_n be_v benumb_v and_o obstupify_v whether_o it_o be_v in_o action_n or_o contemplation_n one_o palm_n tree_n become_v fruitful_a mere_o at_o the_o presence_n of_o another_o and_o the_o soul_n at_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v load_v with_o all_o variety_n of_o fruit_n without_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o sun_n all_o be_v bury_v in_o obscurity_n nothing_o do_v partake_v of_o beauty_n by_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n a_o soul_n be_v illustrate_v and_o be_v make_v most_o comely_a to_o the_o eye_n the_o element_n can_v brook_v to_o be_v absent_a from_o their_o centre_n and_o no_o les_fw-fr be_v a_o soul_n carry_v to_o her_o centre_n of_o repose_n god_n as_o a_o stone_n if_o it_o be_v detain_v in_o the_o air_n keep_v always_o a_o propension_n to_o the_o earth_n and_o if_o it_o be_v leave_v to_o itself_o tend_v thither_o without_o any_o more_o ado_n so_o a_o soul_n enamour_v upon_o god_n even_o when_o it_o be_v detain_v from_o its_o
