may_v be_v they_o do_v persuade_v many_o no_o better_o skill_v in_o these_o thing_n than_o themselves_o that_o so_o it_o be_v indeed_o howbeit_o those_o who_o have_v any_o experience_n of_o the_o real_a aid_n and_o assistance_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o this_o work_n and_o duty_n any_o faith_n in_o the_o express_a testimony_n give_v by_o god_n himself_o hereunto_o can_v but_o despise_v such_o fabulous_a imagination_n you_o may_v as_o soon_o persuade_v they_o that_o the_o sun_n do_v not_o give_v light_n nor_o the_o fire_n heat_v that_o they_o see_v not_o with_o their_o eye_n nor_o hear_v with_o their_o ear_n as_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n do_v not_o enable_v they_o to_o pray_v or_o assist_v they_o in_o their_o supplication_n and_o there_o may_v some_o probability_n be_v give_v unto_o these_o pretence_n and_o unto_o the_o total_a exclusion_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n from_o any_o concernment_n herein_o if_o those_o concern_v who_o and_o their_o duty_n they_o thus_o judge_v be_v general_o person_n know_v to_o excel_v other_o in_o those_o natural_a endowment_n and_o acquire_v ability_n whereunto_o this_o faculty_n of_o prayer_n be_v ascribe_v but_o will_v this_o be_v allow_v by_o they_o who_o make_v use_v of_o this_o pretence_n namely_o that_o those_o who_o be_v thus_o able_a to_o pray_v as_o they_o pretend_v by_o virtue_n of_o a_o spiritual_a gift_n be_v person_n excel_v in_o fancy_n memory_n wit_n invention_n and_o elocution_n it_o be_v know_v that_o they_o will_v admit_v of_o no_o such_o thing_n but_o in_o all_o other_o instance_n they_o must_v be_v represent_v as_o dull_a stupid_a ignorant_a unlearned_a and_o brutish_a only_o in_o prayer_n they_o have_v the_o advantage_n of_o those_o natural_a endowment_n these_o thing_n be_v hardly_o consistent_a with_o common_a ingenuity_n for_o be_v it_o not_o strange_a that_o those_o who_o be_v so_o contemptible_a with_o respect_n unto_o natural_a and_o acquire_v endowment_n in_o all_o other_o thing_n whether_o of_o science_n or_o of_o prudence_n shall_v yet_o in_o this_o one_o duty_n or_o work_n of_o prayer_n so_o improve_v they_o as_o to_o out-go_v the_o imitation_n of_o they_o by_o who_o they_o be_v despise_v for_o as_o they_o do_v not_o as_o they_o will_v not_o pray_v as_o they_o do_v so_o their_o own_o heart_n tell_v they_o they_o can_v which_o thing_n be_v considerable_a as_o to_o the_o matter_n of_o prayer_n and_o with_o respect_n unto_o they_o of_o ourselves_o we_o know_v not_o what_o we_o shall_v pray_v for_o nor_o how_o nor_o when_o and_o the_o first_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o a_o spirit_n of_o supplication_n in_o believer_n be_v to_o give_v they_o a_o understanding_n of_o all_o their_o want_n and_o of_o the_o supply_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n in_o the_o promise_n cause_v a_o sense_n of_o they_o to_o dwell_v and_o abide_v on_o their_o mind_n as_o that_o according_a unto_o their_o measure_n they_o be_v
