neighbour_n house_n and_o wife_n be_v join_v in_o one_o verse_n as_o show_v but_o one_o commandment_n but_o these_o two_o be_v sever_v in_o two_o verse_n which_o show_v a_o division_n and_o distinction_n of_o the_o precept_n the_o matter_n also_o differ_v for_o otherwise_o in_o the_o four_o commandment_n there_o be_v divers_a verse_n but_o the_o agreement_n in_o the_o matter_n show_v that_o they_o all_o belong_v unto_o one_o precept_n 3._o the_o last_o commandment_n which_o they_o divide_v into_o two_o shall_v be_v prove_v afterward_o when_o we_o come_v to_o that_o place_n to_o be_v but_o one_o whole_a and_o entire_a commandment_n and_o this_o one_o reason_n shall_v suffice_v in_o this_o place_n because_o moses_n repeat_v this_o last_o precept_n deut._n 5.21_o do_v put_v our_o neighbour_n be_v reduce_v to_o the_o decalogue_n next_o follow_v to_o be_v consider_v whether_o all_o moral_a duty_n may_v be_v reduce_v unto_o these_o ten_o commandment_n 1._o it_o will_v be_v object_v that_o they_o be_v not_o because_o there_o be_v no_o mention_n make_v in_o the_o decalogue_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o our_o neighbour_n therefore_o all_o moral_a precept_n be_v not_o thither_o refer_v to_o this_o 1._o thomas_n answer_v that_o these_o precept_n be_v write_v in_o the_o heart_n by_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n that_o god_n and_o our_o neighbour_n be_v to_o be_v write_v they_o in_o his_o law_n 2._o burgensis_n answer_v thus_o that_o like_o as_o in_o speculative_a art_n and_o science_n they_o use_v to_o proceed_v from_o know_v and_o manifest_a conclusion_n and_o principle_n to_o those_o which_o be_v more_o obscure_a so_o the_o lord_n propound_v his_o law_n in_o the_o easy_a and_o plain_a precept_n as_o in_o the_o second_o commandment_n it_o be_v easy_a to_o abstain_v from_o idolatry_n than_o from_o other_o kind_n of_o superstition_n and_o in_o the_o six_o a_o man_n will_v abhor_v murder_n which_o can_v so_o soon_o decline_v all_o other_o wrong_n and_o injury_n these_o precept_n of_o love_a god_n above_o all_o and_o our_o neighbour_n as_o ourself_o because_o they_o be_v hard_a and_o difficult_a the_o lord_n will_v not_o propound_v they_o at_o the_o first_o to_o a_o rude_a and_o ignorant_a people_n but_o reserve_v they_o till_o another_o time_n when_o the_o people_n be_v grow_v more_o able_a and_o strong_a as_o in_o that_o 40._o year_n in_o the_o wilderness_n then_o moses_n begin_v to_o explain_v this_o law_n and_o exhort_v they_o to_o fear_v and_o serve_v
