that_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o great_a difficulty_n to_o clear_v and_o make_v appear_v what_o salt_n be_v employ_v upon_o fish_n or_o not_o and_o that_o his_o majesty_n may_v be_v prejudge_v of_o the_o excise_n of_o salt_n upon_o groundless_a pretence_n that_o the_o same_o have_v be_v or_o be_v to_o be_v employ_v upon_o fish_n yet_o nevertheless_o his_o majesty_n be_v most_o willing_a to_o give_v all_o due_a encouragement_n to_o the_o trade_n of_o fish_v and_o that_o whatsoever_o salt_n shall_v be_v employ_v and_o expend_v in_o order_n to_o the_o say_a trade_n and_o upon_o the_o cure_a of_o fish_n to_o be_v export_v shall_v in_o effect_n be_v free_a of_o excise_n and_o upon_o and_o after_o mature_a and_o exact_a consideration_n of_o the_o quantity_n of_o say_v it_o necessary_a and_o sufficient_a for_o each_o last_o of_o herring_n and_o white-fish_n of_o any_o kind_n and_o of_o each_o last_o of_o salmond_n and_o what_o the_o excise_n of_o the_o same_o salt_n respectiué_fw-fr will_v amount_v to_o find_v that_o the_o excise_n of_o the_o salt_n of_o the_o last_o of_o herring_n and_o white-fish_n will_v amount_v to_o the_o sum_n of_o ten_o pound_n four_o shilling_n scot_n and_o that_o the_o excise_n of_o the_o salt_n of_o each_o last_o of_o salmond_n will_v amount_v to_o the_o sum_n of_o twelve_o pound_n money_n aforesaid_a his_o majesty_n with_o consent_n foresay_a statute_n and_o ordain_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o custom_n exact_v at_o the_o exportation_n of_o the_o said_n herring_n and_o white-fish_n and_o that_o whatever_o the_o foresay_a ten_o pound_n four_o shilling_n of_o excise_n shall_v exceed_v the_o custom_n payable_a for_o the_o said_n herring_n and_o white-fish_n at_o the_o exportation_n thereof_o shall_v be_v due_o and_o timeous_o pay_v to_o the_o merchant_n exporter_n without_o any_o delay_n reward_n or_o abatement_n for_o each_o last_o of_o herring_n and_o white-fish_n of_o any_o kind_n whatsoever_o that_o shall_v be_v export_v out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n and_o that_o the_o foresay_a sum_n of_o twelve_o pound_n for_o the_o excise_n of_o the_o salt_n of_o each_o last_o of_o salmond_n at_o the_o entry_n and_o exportation_n shall_v be_v pay_v to_o the_o heretor_n liferenters_a and_o other_o from_o who_o the_o merchant_n exporter_n buy_v these_o salmond_n they_o always_o produce_v certificate_n from_o the_o respective_a heretor_n and_o other_o make_v up_o the_o just_a quantity_n contain_v in_o their_o entry_n upon_o which_o certificate_n the_o foresay_a sum_n of_o twelve_o pound_n be_v to_o be_v pay_v to_o the_o heretor_n and_o other_o from_o who_o these_o salmond_n be_v buy_v or_o to_o any_o have_v their_o warrant_n to_o receive_v the_o same_o which_o sum_v respectiué_fw-fr above-written_a for_o the_o herring_n white-fish_n and_o salmond_n be_v to_o be_v pay_v in_o manor_n above-specified_n by_o the_o collector_n at_o the_o respective_a port_n where_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v enter_v for_o who_o the_o farmer_n and_o principal_a collector_n of_o the_o excise_n be_v to_o be_v answerable_a and_o careful_a that_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v punctual_o pay_v and_o in_o case_n of_o not_o punctual_a payment_n they_o shall_v be_v liable_a for_o the_o party_n damage_n provide_v always_o that_o the_o say_a herring_n white-fish_n and_o salmond_n be_v due_o enter_v in_o the_o excise-office_n and_o the_o exportation_n thereof_o sufficient_o instruct_v to_o the_o collector_n so_o as_o they_o may_v certify_v the_o same_o under_o their_o hand_n likeas_n his_o majesty_n with_o advice_n foresay_a do_v inhibit_v and_o discharge_v the_o collector_n or_o farmer_n of_o excise_n upon_o any_o pretext_n to_o give_v any_o ease_n or_o abatement_n of_o the_o forty_o shilling_n scot_n impose_v by_o the_o foresay_a fourteen_o act_n upon_o ilk_fw-mi bool_n of_o foreign_a bay-salt_n linlithgow-measure_n import_v into_o this_o kingdom_n certify_v they_o if_o they_o contraveen_v the_o say_n collector_n shall_v suffer_v deprivation_n of_o their_o office_n and_o the_o say_n farmer_n shall_v loose_v the_o benefit_n of_o their_o tack_v of_o the_o excise_n and_o shall_v be_v further_a liable_a to_o the_o payment_n of_o such_o fine_n and_o penalty_n as_o the_o lord_n of_o exchequer_n shall_v think_v fit_a to_o inflict_v and_o for_o the_o better_a inbr_v of_o the_o excise_n of_o the_o say_a inland_n salt_n it_o be_v ordain_v that_o all_o owner_n of_o salt-pan_n and_o their_o greeves_n shall_v be_v oblige_v to_o exhibit_v and_o produce_v to_o the_o collector_n or_o farmer_n of_o excise_n or_o their_o deputy_n when_o they_o shall_v be_v require_v their_o compt-book_n of_o all_o salt_n sell_v to_o be_v peruse_v by_o they_o and_o return_v within_o the_o space_n of_o twenty_o four_o hour_n to_o the_o effect_n it_o may_v be_v know_v what_o salt_n be_v consume_v and_o that_o the_o excise_n of_o the_o same_o be_v due_o pay_v whereupon_o they_o be_v to_o make_v faith_n if_o they_o be_v require_v and_o that_o they_o have_v sell_v nor_o dispose_v upon_o no_o more_o nor_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o say_a book_n and_o sicklike_a the_o saltar_n of_o every_o salt-pan_n shall_v be_v oblige_v to_o give_v a_o account_n to_o the_o collector_n of_o the_o say_a excise_n of_o the_o salt_n appertain_v to_o they_o any_o manner_n of_o way_n and_o what_o they_o have_v sell_v of_o the_o same_o and_o to_o instruct_v that_o the_o same_o have_v be_v due_o enter_v in_o the_o excise-office_n and_o that_o the_o excise_n duty_n of_o the_o same_o have_v be_v pay_v whereupon_o and_o that_o they_o have_v sell_v no_o more_o but_o what_o have_v be_v due_o enter_v they_o be_v ordain_v to_o make_v faith_n if_o they_o be_v require_v it_o be_v always_o provide_v that_o where_o excise-office_n be_v in_o the_o town_n or_o place_n where_o the_o salt_n be_v make_v the_o salt-master_n their_o greeves_n or_o salter_n shall_v be_v hold_v to_o repair_v to_o the_o excise-office_n to_o the_o effect_n foresay_a if_o they_o be_v require_v but_o if_o there_o be_v no_o excise-office_n in_o these_o place_n the_o collector_n or_o farmer_n of_o excise_n or_o their_o deputy_n be_v appoint_v to_o conveen_v they_o at_o the_o respective_a salt_n girnals_n or_o salt-pan_n where_o the_o salt_n be_v make_v and_o the_o say_n person_n shall_v not_o be_v oblige_v to_o go_v any_o further_o and_o in_o like_a manner_n his_o majesty_n consider_v that_o divers_a question_n and_o debate_n may_v arise_v anent_o the_o interpretation_n of_o several_a act_n and_o privilege_n make_v and_o grant_v in_o favour_n of_o manufactory_n for_o immunity_n and_o exemption_n from_o the_o excise_n or_o custom_n of_o certain_a good_n which_o be_v the_o material_n of_o the_o say_a manufactory_n do_v hereby_o
