who_o be_v so_o offend_v at_o the_o joyful_a reception_n and_o welcome_n of_o his_o prodigal_a brother_n that_o he_o have_v be_v always_o with_o he_o and_o all_o that_o he_o have_v be_v he_o that_o be_v he_o be_v sensible_a of_o his_o constant_a duty_n and_o obedience_n than_o which_o nothing_o can_v have_v be_v more_o acceptable_a and_o that_o it_o have_v not_o nor_o shall_v not_o lose_v its_o manner_n of_o man_n as_o if_o our_o heavenly_a father_n do_v conceive_v such_o a_o joy_n upon_o the_o repentance_n of_o a_o sinner_n as_o earthly_a parent_n be_v wont_a to_o do_v upon_o the_o return_n and_o so_o in_o their_o continual_a intercourse_n between_o heaven_n and_o earth_n bring_v to_o their_o fellow-servant_n in_o heaven_n the_o joyful_a news_n of_o the_o repentance_n of_o sinner_n upon_o earth_n or_o whether_o god_n be_v please_v from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o reveal_v it_o to_o they_o as_o a_o thing_n extreme_o welcome_a and_o delightful_a to_o good_a spirit_n and_o tend_v conclude_v that_o the_o angel_n or_o saint_n in_o heaven_n have_v such_o a_o universal_a knowledge_n of_o our_o condition_n and_o affair_n as_o to_o be_v a_o reasonable_a ground_n and_o warrant_v to_o we_o to_o pray_v to_o they_o yea_o or_o to_o desire_v they_o to_o pray_v for_o we_o no_o though_o this_o be_v do_v without_o any_o solemn_a circumstance_n of_o invocation_n for_o they_o may_v very_o well_o know_v some_o thing_n concern_v we_o wherein_o their_o own_o comfort_n and_o happiness_n be_v likewise_o concern_v and_o yet_o be_v ignorant_a of_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o our_o affair_n this_o one_o thing_n we_o be_v sure_o they_o know_v because_o our_o saviour_n have_v tell_v we_o so_o but_o we_o be_v sure_a of_o no_o more_o and_o there_o be_v neither_o equal_a reason_n for_o their_o knowledge_n of_o our_o other_o concernment_n nor_o be_v there_o any_o revelation_n in_o scripture_n to_o that_o purpose_n 2._o second_o if_o god_n and_o the_o bless_a spirit_n above_o rejoice_v at_o all_o the_o device_n which_o man_n use_v to_o get_v rid_v of_o the_o guilt_n of_o their_o sin_n be_v vain_a and_o to_o no_o purpose_n it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v do_v by_o a_o formal_a confession_n and_o absolution_n nor_o by_o a_o long_a pilgrimage_n nor_o by_o one_o of_o those_o little_a ticket_n from_o rome_n which_o they_o call_v indulgence_n a_o wise_a man_n will_v much_o soon_o persuade_v nothing_o there_o be_v a_o excellent_a passage_n of_o the_o son_n of_o syrach_n to_o this_o purpose_n eccles_n 34.25_o 26_o he_o that_o wash_v himself_o after_o the_o touch_v of_o a_o dead_a body_n if_o he_o touch_v it_o again_o what_o avail_v his_o wash_n so_o be_v it_o with_o a_o man_n that_o fast_v for_o his_o sin_n and_o go_v again_o and_o do_v the_o same_o thing_n who_o will_v hear_v his_o prayer_n or_o what_o do_v his_o humble_v profit_v he_o there_o be_v this_o plain_a difference_n between_o trouble_n for_o sin_n and_o repentance_n sorrow_n only_o respect_v sin_n past_a but_o be_v do_v in_o religion_n when_o our_o reason_n be_v once_o depart_v from_o we_o then_o darkness_n have_v overtake_v we_o indeed_o and_o the_o night_n be_v come_v when_o no_o man_n can_v work_v but_o
