five_o point_n the_o first_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o text_n by_o way_n of_o intimation_n namely_o that_o there_o be_v a_o near_a communion_n betwixt_o god_n and_o all_o the_o faithful_a in_o jesus_n christ_n intend_v in_o the_o word_n separation_n second_o we_o have_v speak_v of_o the_o bond_n of_o this_o communion_n which_o be_v the_o love_n of_o god_n three_o we_o have_v show_v both_o the_o ground_n of_o this_o communion_n and_o of_o the_o bond_n of_o it_o and_o that_o be_v jesus_n christ_n four_o we_o have_v show_v the_o near_a reference_n that_o be_v betwixt_o christ_n and_o the_o faithful_a he_o be_v our_o lord_n and_o we_o be_v his_o subject_n and_o servant_n five_o we_o have_v show_v the_o safety_n of_o all_o the_o faithful_a in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o danger_n which_o the_o apostle_n avouch_v here_o that_o neither_o death_n nor_o life_n etc._n etc._n shall_v separate_v we_o from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v and_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n let_v their_o enemy_n do_v what_o they_o can_v now_o we_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o sixth_o point_n and_o that_o be_v the_o confident_a persuasion_n which_o the_o apostle_n have_v concern_v this_o heavenly_a truth_n i_o be_o sure_a he_o be_v sure_a of_o it_o first_o i_o will_v propound_v the_o doctrine_n in_o that_o the_o apostle_n say_v i_o be_o persuade_v or_o i_o be_o sure_a that_o all_o the_o faithful_a shall_v continue_v in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n without_o separation_n the_o observation_n be_v this_o doctrine_n doctrine_n god_n child_n all_o true_a believer_n may_v and_o aught_o to_o have_v a_o confident_a persuasion_n in_o themselves_o of_o their_o own_o certainty_n and_o continuance_n in_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n and_o salvation_n for_o howsoever_o the_o persuasion_n here_o speak_v of_o be_v a_o personal_a and_o a_o particular_a persuasion_n of_o paul_n i_o be_o persuade_v yet_o the_o matter_n which_o he_o be_v peswade_v of_o be_v general_a to_o all_o believer_n i_o be_o persuade_v say_v he_o that_o nothing_o shall_v separate_v we_o and_o therefore_o the_o estate_n of_o all_o true_a believer_n be_v in_o itself_o as_o firm_a and_o sure_a as_o paul_n be_v then_o their_o assurance_n must_v be_v in_o some_o measure_n answerable_a to_o he_o to_o set_v the_o doctrine_n right_a that_o we_o may_v receive_v it_o in_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o apostle_n intendment_n and_o apply_v it_o to_o ourselves_o right_o against_o despair_n and_o yet_o without_o presumption_n text._n doctrine_n clear_v for_o such_o exception_n as_o seem_v to_o lie_v in_o the_o text._n we_o be_v first_o to_o clear_v it_o of_o some_o exception_n and_o then_o to_o bound_v it_o within_o certain_a bound_n or_o limit_n first_o of_o the_o exception_n i_o do_v not_o mean_v such_o exception_n as_o be_v make_v against_o the_o doctrine_n itself_o for_o of_o they_o we_o shall_v speak_v in_o the_o use_n but_o of_o such_o as_o be_v make_v against_o this_o scripture_n
