their_o gift_n and_o calling_n that_o they_o tie_v and_o bind_v their_o judgement_n and_o affection_n to_o the_o measure_n of_o that_o faithful_a grace_n they_o have_v receive_v so_o all_o magistrate_n be_v by_o the_o sword_n of_o their_o authority_n which_o they_o bear_v not_o in_o vain_a to_o keep_v and_o hold_v their_o christian_a subject_n within_o the_o compass_n of_o their_o not_o only_o to_o the_o saint_n at_o rome_n but_o also_o general_o to_o the_o whole_a church_n of_o christ_n which_o as_o it_o teach_v a_o unity_n of_o body_n a_o multitude_n of_o member_n under_o one_o head_n a_o variety_n of_o duty_n and_o a_o diversity_n of_o gift_n so_o it_o show_v manifest_o that_o this_o distinction_n in_o the_o body_n whereof_o arise_v the_o government_n of_o the_o many_o member_n in_o the_o church_n have_v one_o head_n wherein_o they_o be_v the_o four_o and_o last_o as_o in_o a_o natural_a body_n every_o member_n be_v another_o so_o in_o the_o church_n every_o member_n be_v another_o all_o which_o particular_a similitude_n be_v necessary_o collect_v out_o of_o the_o apostle_n word_n in_o the_o 4._o and_o 5._o verse_n as_o you_o may_v plain_o see_v the_o will_v answer_v plain_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n and_o perfect_o and_o full_o determine_v all_o these_o question_n say_v these_o member_n be_v either_o doctor_n to_o teach_v pastor_n to_o exhort_v as_o if_o she_o have_v three_o hand_n three_o foot_n or_o six_o finger_n by_o and_o by_o she_o mislyke_v herself_o she_o hate_v the_o superfluity_n she_o labour_v to_o cut_v it_o off_o because_o she_o be_v contend_v with_o herself_o desire_v no_o mo_z part_n than_o she_o have_v nay_o hate_v if_o it_o be_v but_o a_o knob_v of_o flesh_n that_o be_v more_o than_o needs_o she_o will_v have_v many_o member_n but_o not_o too_o many_o she_o will_v have_v all_o her_o member_n she_o will_v want_v none_o lest_o she_o shall_v appear_v either_o monstrous_a which_o be_v fearful_a or_o maim_v which_o be_v hateful_a even_o so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o church_n and_o spouse_n of_o christ_n in_o england_n for_o as_o she_o be_v grieve_v for_o the_o lack_n of_o those_o part_n which_o be_v want_v so_o she_o abhor_v and_o loathe_v such_o as_o be_v abound_v as_o namely_o the_o calling_n of_o archbishop_n bishop_n dean_n archdeacon_n deacon_n chaunceller_n commissary_n official_o &_o all_o such_o as_o be_v rather_o member_n and_o part_n of_o the_o whore_n and_o strumpet_n of_o rome_n then_o of_o the_o pure_a virgin_n and_o spouse_n of_o the_o immaculate_a lamb_n therefore_o she_o desire_v these_o if_o they_o will_v needs_o be_v of_o her_o body_n to_o show_v that_o they_o be_v create_v of_o god_n and_o unite_v to_o she_o by_o christ_n her_o head_n if_o they_o will_v needs_o be_v of_o the_o heavenly_a jerusalem_n let_v they_o show_v that_o they_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n and_o who_o give_v they_o from_o thence_o for_o the_o apostle_n never_o know_v they_o zion_n have_v not_o hear_v of_o they_o jerusalem_n which_o be_v above_o will_v not_o acknowledge_v they_o the_o watchman_n no_o doubt_n be_v a_o sleep_n they_o have_v creep_v into_o the_o city_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o now_o they_o be_v espy_v now_o the_o church_n complain_v of_o they_o both_o because_o they_o have_v no_o title_n nor_o interest_n in_o it_o as_o public_a member_n and_o also_o because_o by_o the_o length_n of_o their_o unlawful_a sword_n they_o keep_v out_o lawful_a member_n of_o the_o body_n we_o therefore_o that_o be_v the_o lord_n remembrauncer_n must_v never_o let_v he_o rest_v till_o he_o have_v the_o office_n of_o public_a person_n for_o one_o man_n do_v suspend_v from_o the_o sacrament_n and_o excommunicate_a the_o doctor_n upon_o the_o office_n of_o the_o pastor_n for_o both_o indifferent_o teach_v exhort_v and_o minister_v the_o sacrament_n the_o ecclesiastical_a person_n upon_o the_o office_n of_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n and_o contrary_o the_o civil_a upon_o the_o ecclesiastical_a for_o they_o interchangeablye_o handle_v and_o decide_v civil_a and_o ecclesiastical_a controversy_n see_v i_o say_v here_o be_v no_o distinction_n but_o confusion_n no_o content_v to_o suffer_v their_o eyelid_n either_o to_o slumber_v or_o sleep_v till_o they_o have_v remoove_v these_o superfluity_n supply_v these_o want_n and_o reform_v this_o intolerable_a confusion_n that_o the_o body_n of_o the_o church_n may_v appear_v in_o her_o perfect_a beauty_n and_o health_n the_o 3._o rule_n be_v these_o many_o member_n must_v have_v but_o one_o head_n to_o who_o they_o be_v most_o near_o &_o sure_o unite_v and_o of_o who_o they_o must_v be_v only_o and_o perpetual_o rule_v all_o the_o part_n of_o the_o natural_a body_n because_o they_o be_v by_o many_o jointe_n and_o band_n fit_o and_o sure_o couple_v to_o the_o head_n they_o receive_v life_n sense_n power_n motion_n and_o strength_n to_o perform_v their_o duty_n and_o mutual_o to_o help_v one_o another_o and_o all_o this_o be_v do_v by_o the_o virtue_n of_o this_o natural_a union_n for_o if_o that_o be_v not_o no_o part_n be_v able_a to_o serve_v either_o itself_o or_o any_o other_o so_o that_o be_v in_o this_o union_n they_o live_v be_v sever_v they_o die_v and_o perish_v even_o so_o it_o fare_v with_o the_o member_n of_o y_fw-fr e_o church_n for_o they_o be_v by_o spiritual_a joint_n &_o hand_n sure_o unite_v &_o knit_v to_o christ_n their_o head_n he_o convay_v into_o everye_o one_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o faith_n life_n to_o quicken_v they_o wisdom_n to_o lighten_v they_o sense_n for_o false_o bear_v we_o in_o hand_n that_o these_o be_v for_o the_o mayntenaunce_n of_o peace_n and_o unity_n but_o apostle_n evangelist_n prophet_n 11._o pastoure_n and_o teacher_n by_o who_o ministry_n we_o may_v be_v full_o lead_v to_o a_o perfect_a unity_n of_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o to_o the_o full_a age_n of_o the_o fullness_n of_o he_o so_o that_o he_o alone_o by_o his_o own_o gift_n
