then_o to_o make_v we_o seek_v for_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n by_o faith_n in_o christ_n to_o make_v we_o desire_v it_o love_v it_o and_o pray_v for_o it_o above_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n abel_n not_o only_o offer_v but_o offer_v so_o as_o that_o it_o put_v he_o â—n_o mind_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o of_o his_o redemption_n by_o the_o death_n of_o the_o messiah_n to_o come_v so_o we_o must_v not_o only_o outward_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n but_o so_o receive_v as_o that_o we_o may_v see_v and_o be_v humble_v for_o our_o sin_n and_o seek_v to_o be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n in_o christ._n such_o use_n also_o ought_v we_o to_o make_v of_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o not_o to_o be_v content_a with_o bare_a hear_n of_o it_o or_o to_o get_v a_o general_a knowledge_n out_o of_o it_o but_o it_o must_v give_v we_o a_o special_a sight_n of_o our_o own_o estate_n by_o sin_n and_o urge_v we_o forward_o to_o seek_v the_o favour_n of_o god_n in_o christ._n religion_n stand_v not_o in_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n with_o the_o congregation_n though_o it_o be_v do_v never_o so_o often_o and_o never_o so_o formal_o but_o so_o to_o hear_v and_o so_o to_o receive_v as_o that_o they_o may_v work_v in_o we_o those_o two_o thing_n and_o that_o be_v the_o pith_n and_o life_n of_o religion_n and_o whosoever_o he_o be_v that_o profess_v religion_n and_o show_v not_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o in_o these_o two_o that_o man_n profession_n be_v in_o vain_a and_o it_o will_v go_v for_o no_o payment_n at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n thus_o we_o see_v they_o offer_v and_o what_o they_o offer_v it_o follow_v a_o great_a sacrifice_n than_o cain_n the_o three_o &_o last_o point_n be_v the_o difference_n of_o these_o sacrifice_n for_o although_o cain_n faith_n in_o christ_n which_o may_v purify_v our_o heart_n and_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n in_o our_o life_n here_o be_v strong_a motive_n to_o persuade_v we_o hereunto_o for_o what_o do_v we_o desire_v riches_n honour_n or_o favour_n and_o grace_n in_o the_o world_n will_v we_o have_v health_n and_o strength_n nay_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n which_o be_v all_o in_o all_o then_o look_v to_o get_v true_a faith_n for_o in_o the_o practice_n thereof_o thou_o shall_v obtain_v of_o god_n all_o needful_a blessing_n both_o temporal_a and_o spiritual_a many_o toil_n themselves_o exceed_o by_o different_a from_o those_o which_o he_o mention_v before_o and_o it_o be_v also_o plain_a that_o these_o believer_n live_v before_o the_o come_n of_o christ._n for_o howsoever_o the_o christian_n in_o the_o primitive_a church_n be_v rack_v scourge_v and_o torment_v after_o this_o sort_n yet_o of_o they_o this_o place_n can_v be_v understand_v because_o they_o enjoy_v the_o promise_n of_o the_o for_o they_o second_o by_o pronounce_v a_o blessing_n upon_o they_o according_a to_o gods_n holy_a word_n a_o form_n of_o this_o blessing_n we_o have_v from_o the_o apostle_n saint_n paul_n who_o canaan_n 3._o that_o his_o two_o child_n shall_v be_v two_o mighty_a nation_n and_o that_o the_o elder_a shall_v serve_v the_o young_a now_o isaac_n do_v not_o consider_v these_o blessing_n apart_o one_o from_o another_o but_o have_v they_o all_o in_o memory_n and_o on_o they_o all_o receive_v they_o by_o a_o lively_a faith_n he_o build_v his_o blessing_n for_o by_o faith_n in_o these_o blessing_n but_o in_o the_o second_o place_n here_o observe_v these_o two_o thing_n first_o jacob_n be_v receive_v into_o god_n covenaunt_n and_o esau_n put_v by_o jacob_n get_v the_o principal_a blessing_n and_o esau_n lose_v it_o but_o what_o be_v these_o thing_n so_o for_o jacob_n desert_n or_o for_o the_o default_n of_o esau_n nay_o very_o the_o good_a pleasure_n of_o god_n be_v the_o chief_a cause_n hereof_o for_o touch_v the_o blessing_n if_o we_o read_v the_o history_n we_o shall_v see_v that_o esau_n at_o his_o father_n commandment_n go_v and_o hunt_v and_o take_v the_o pain_n and_o get_v his_o father_n venison_n and_o tell_v he_o nothing_o but_o truth_n but_o jacob_n never_o go_v to_o hunt_v but_o get_v a_o kid_n dress_v and_o come_v to_o his_o father_n with_o it_o and_o while_o he_o talk_v with_o his_o father_n do_v foul_o gloase_a and_o lie_v so_o that_o in_o all_o reason_n it_o may_v seem_v that_o esau_n deserve_v the_o better_a blessing_n yet_o god_n will_v have_v it_o otherwise_o and_o the_o principal_a blessing_n belong_v to_o jacob_n wherein_o we_o may_v note_v that_o god_n special_a love_n to_o man_n whereby_o he_o receive_v he_o into_o his_o covenaunt_n be_v not_o ground_v on_o man_n behaviour_n but_o on_o his_o own_o good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n second_o in_o that_o jacob_n here_o have_v the_o principal_a blessing_n we_o learn_v that_o the_o counsel_n of_o god_n do_v over-rule_v the_o will_n of_o man_n for_o father_n isaac_n have_v purpose_v to_o have_v bless_v esau_n with_o the_o chief_a blessing_n but_o yet_o god_n counsel_n be_v contrary_a and_o the_o same_o overrule_v isaac_n will_n for_o though_o isaac_n have_v cause_n to_o suspect_v that_o it_o be_v not_o esau_n both_o because_o he_o come_v so_o soon_o as_o also_o for_o that_o the_o voice_n be_v apparent_a not_o to_o be_v esau_n but_o jacob_n voice_n yet_o god_n counsel_n overruled_n his_o will_n and_o when_o he_o come_v to_o handle_v his_o son_n hand_n he_o can_v not_o discern_v between_o a_o kids_n skin_n and_o the_o skin_n of_o a_o man_n what_o be_v the_o cause_n hereof_o sure_o it_o be_v god_n will_v and_o counsel_n that_o jacob_n shall_v have_v the_o chief_a blessing_n and_o therefore_o he_o overrule_v isaac_n will_n and_o blind_v his_o sense_n and_o make_v he_o to_o bless_v jacob_n with_o the_o chief_a blessing_n the_o consideration_n hereof_o
