law_n promise_v life_n and_o salvation_n by_o he_o we_o escape_v what_o the_o law_n threaten_v death_n and_o condemnation_n so_o then_o though_o the_o law_n be_v take_v away_o in_o respect_n of_o this_o circumstantial_a use_n thereof_o as_o a_o condition_n yet_o not_o in_o respect_n of_o that_o substantial_a consideration_n viz._n as_o the_o doctrine_n and_o direction_n of_o good_a and_o evil_a nay_o in_o this_o respect_n it_o be_v reassume_v and_o re-etablish_v by_o christ_n in_o the_o former_a consideration_n of_o it_o it_o be_v that_o the_o apostle_n say_v roman_n 10._o 4._o that_o christ_n be_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n i_o e._n he_o have_v do_v that_o for_o man_n which_o the_o law_n will_v but_o can_v not_o the_o law_n will_v bring_v man_n to_o life_n and_o salvation_n this_o be_v the_o primary_a end_n and_o intention_n of_o it_o but_o the_o law_n can_v not_o in_o respect_n of_o man_n weakness_n rom._n 8._o 3._o this_o christ_n have_v do_v and_o so_o be_v become_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n for_o righteousness_n and_o justification_n to_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v in_o the_o same_o circumstantial_a consideration_n of_o the_o law_n it_o be_v that_o the_o apostle_n say_v rom._n 6._o 14._o you_o be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n and_o rom._n 7._o 4._o we_o be_v dead_a to_o the_o law_n and_o so_o deliver_v from_o it_o viz._n as_o it_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o that_o this_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o it_o be_v plain_a by_o this_o that_o it_o be_v set_v down_o as_o a_o reason_n to_o prove_v that_o sin_n shall_v not_o have_v dominion_n over_o we_o viz._n to_o bind_v we_o to_o condemnation_n in_o case_n of_o defectiveness_n and_o fail_n because_o say_v he_o you_o be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n but_o under_o grace_n not_o under_o that_o condition_n of_o full_a and_o perfect_a obedience_n in_o which_o if_o any_o defect_n be_v find_v sin_n do_v present_o domineer_v and_o threaten_v death_n but_o under_o a_o condition_n in_o which_o not_o only_o sincerity_n of_o obedience_n be_v accept_v though_o it_o be_v imperfect_a but_o also_o help_v and_o assistance_n in_o do_v the_o duty_n be_v afford_v so_o that_o with_o much_o cheerfulness_n may_v we_o strive_v against_o the_o reign_n of_o sin_n and_o that_o over-masterful_a sway_n which_o heretofore_o it_o have_v in_o we_o and_o over_o we_o yet_o this_o do_v not_o prove_v but_o that_o still_o we_o be_v under_o the_o doctrine_n and_o direction_n of_o the_o law_n for_o duty_n of_o holiness_n yea_o those_o duty_n which_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o christ_n spirit_n we_o be_v enable_v to_o perform_v for_o this_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v that_o though_o the_o law_n require_v many_o duty_n of_o holiness_n and_o sanctification_n yet_o be_v it_o only_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n which_o enable_v we_o to_o perform_v they_o these_o i_o say_v be_v just_o term_v the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n because_o do_v in_o relation_n to_o the_o law_n though_o not_o in_o the_o capacity_n of_o a_o condition_n as_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n yet_o in_o the_o capacity_n of_o a_o rule_n and_o square_n of_o direction_n and_o a_o duty_n of_o holiness_n object_n they_o reply_v that_o st._n paul_n say_v gal._n 3._o 10._o they_o that_o be_v of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v under_o the_o curse_n so_o that_o either_o the_o law_n be_v abrogate_a even_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o work_n thereof_o or_o else_o neither_o be_v the_o curse_n abrogate_a if_o christian_n be_v tie_v to_o the_o work_n they_o be_v not_o free_v from_o the_o curse_n true_o if_o they_o will_v be_v of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n they_o shall_v be_v under_o the_o curse_n but_o what_o be_v it_o to_o be_v of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v it_o to_o take_v direction_n from_o christ_n and_o so_o to_o be_v of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v to_o seek_v salvation_n by_o they_o now_o then_o such_o who_o will_v seek_v salvation_n by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v under_o the_o curse_n say_v st._n paul_n good_a reason_n because_o they_o can_v satisfy_v the_o perfection_n of_o the_o law_n and_o he_o that_o will_v challenge_v any_o thing_n in_o the_o way_n of_o needful_a for_o adam_n in_o paradise_n though_o a_o righteous_a man_n so_o then_o i_o hold_v it_o a_o manifest_a truth_n that_o though_o the_o believer_n by_o his_o justification_n and_o adoption_n
