duty_n impose_v by_o the_o law_n either_o of_o god_n or_o man_n for_o god_n commandment_n impose_v the_o necessity_n as_o it_o be_v of_o the_o consequent_a without_o presuppose_v other_o thing_n require_v simple_a and_o absolute_a obedience_n the_o law_n of_o man_n do_v not_o impose_v the_o necessity_n of_o the_o consequent_a or_o require_v simple_a obedience_n but_o it_o impose_v only_o a_o necessity_n of_o the_o consequence_n that_o be_v such_o a_o necessity_n and_o no_o other_o as_o may_v sound_o be_v conclude_v from_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o it_o may_v be_v conclude_v thence_o or_o to_o speak_v more_o plain_o in_o a_o simple_a sentence_n without_o interposit_v any_o condition_n or_o presuppose_v any_o antecedent_n whereupon_o it_o be_v to_o be_v infer_v i_o may_v say_v either_o particular_o this_o commandment_n of_o god_n be_v necessary_o or_o by_o necessity_n of_o duty_n to_o be_v obey_v or_o general_o all_o god_n commandment_n be_v necessary_o to_o be_v observe_v and_o this_o speech_n be_v of_o necessary_a truth_n but_o concern_v man_n commandment_n if_o i_o shall_v say_v in_o the_o general_a all_o the_o commandment_n of_o man_n be_v necessary_o to_o be_v observe_v the_o speech_n wilâ—_n be_v false_a and_o absurd_a if_o in_o particular_a this_o commandment_n of_o the_o magistrate_n be_v necessary_o to_o be_v observe_v this_o a_o simplâ—_n sentence_n wherein_o the_o consequent_a or_o predicat_fw-la be_v both_o simple_o and_o necessary_o affirm_v of_o the_o antecedent_n or_o subject_n it_o can_v i_o say_v be_v simple_o necessary_a because_o as_o you_o hear_v the_o general_n be_v false_a notwithstanding_o if_o you_o presuppose_v these_o two_o thing_n first_o that_o all_o lawful_a commandment_n of_o magistrate_n be_v by_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n necessary_o to_o be_v observe_v so_o far_o forth_o as_o he_o command_v they_o to_o be_v observe_v second_o that_o this_o particular_a be_v a_o lawful_a commandment_n of_o the_o magistrate_n upon_o these_o premise_n you_o may_v prove_v that_o speech_n to_o be_v true_a by_o necessity_n of_o consequence_n viz._n that_o this_o particular_a commandment_n of_o the_o magistrate_n be_v necessary_o to_o be_v observe_v etc._n etc._n but_o some_o sophister_n will_v object_v that_o i_o may_v as_o well_o conclude_v thus_o propos._n all_o lawful_a commandment_n of_o the_o magistrate_n must_v necessary_o be_v obey_v ass._n this_o or_o that_o particular_a be_v a_o lawful_a commandment_n of_o the_o magistrate_n concl._n therefore_o necessary_o to_o be_v obey_v i_o answer_v that_o the_o proposition_n of_o this_o syllogism_n need_v proof_n as_o not_o be_v manifest_a of_o itself_o you_o will_v say_v it_o may_v thus_o be_v prove_v propos._n what_o be_v command_v of_o god_n must_v necessary_o be_v perform_v ass._n obedience_n to_o all_o law_n full_a commandment_n of_o magistrate_n be_v command_v of_o god_n concl._n therefore_o obedience_n to_o all_o lawful_a commandment_n of_o magistrate_n be_v necessary_o to_o be_v perform_v but_o i_o say_v again_o the_o assumption_n of_o this_o syllogism_n need_v some_o explanation_n for_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v difference_n put_v between_o his_o own_o commandment_n and_o the_o law_n of_o man_n and_o therefore_o we_o may_v not_o think_v that_o he_o command_v all_o law_n of_o man_n simple_o to_o be_v obey_v not_o simple_o you_o must_v say_v then_o but_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o he_o require_v they_o to_o be_v obey_v by_o which_o short_a discourse_n we_o learn_v that_o those_o addition_n by_o which_o i_o explain_v the_o proposition_n of_o the_o syllogism_n be_v necessare_fw-la and_o that_o the_o bond_n of_o conscience_n be_v not_o the_o law_n of_o man_n but_o of_o god_n that_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o obey_v man_n law_n not_o simple_o but_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o god_n require_v and_o last_o that_o this_o speech_n all_o lawful_a commandment_n of_o magistrate_n be_v necessary_o to_o be_v obey_v be_v true_a not_o by_o the_o necessity_n of_o the_o consequent_a as_o a_o axiom_n or_o principle_n which_o be_v manifest_a of_o itself_o but_o by_o the_o necessity_n of_o consequence_n as_o a_o conclusion_n manifest_v by_o discourse_n now_o that_o the_o law_n of_o man_n do_v not_o bind_v the_o conscience_n it_o may_v further_o appear_v by_o these_o reason_n first_o because_o our_o freedom_n from_o the_o law_n judicial_a and_o ceremonial_a which_o in_o the_o scripture_n be_v extol_v for_o so_o great_a a_o benefit_n will_v be_v a_o burden_n rather_o than_o a_o
