and_o prayer_n as_o well_o as_o the_o sacrament_n as_o mean_n of_o a_o blessing_n why_o shall_v any_o be_v grieve_v that_o wicked_a man_n and_o sinner_n be_v object_n of_o redemption_n covenant_n it_o be_v better_a to_o come_v in_o a_o christian_a way_n though_o but_o in_o a_o outward_a conformity_n to_o god_n service_n than_o altogether_o to_o neglect_v it_o the_o which_o be_v grant_v and_o practise_v of_o all_o in_o all_o other_o duty_n he_o think_v it_o but_o a_o beg_n of_o the_o question_n to_o deny_v it_o in_o the_o sacrament_n pag._n 73_o 74._o i_o profess_v the_o gentleman_n in_o their_o answer_n to_o what_o mr._n h._n have_v write_v in_o three_o or_o four_o page_n together_o have_v do_v nothing_o but_o trifle_n as_o if_o they_o be_v glad_a they_o can_v but_o shift_v their_o hand_n of_o what_o be_v urge_v against_o they_o miserable_o beg_v the_o question_n in_o every_o thing_n they_o assert_v but_o pag._n 147._o they_o ask_v if_o those_o do_v not_o come_v in_o a_o many_o place_n of_o scripture_n against_o this_o as_o isa_n 1.11_o &_o 66.5_o jer._n 6._o &_o 7._o chap._n from_o whence_o they_o infer_v that_o the_o distinction_n be_v abhor_v of_o the_o lord_n and_o that_o whosoever_o come_v in_o a_o outward_a conformity_n only_o come_v in_o a_o presumptuous_a and_o profane_a way_n i_o answer_v that_o notwithstanding_o these_o scripture_n mr._n humsreys_n position_n be_v still_o a_o truth_n namely_o that_o it_o be_v better_a to_o come_v in_o a_o christian_a way_n though_o but_o in_o outward_a conformity_n to_o god_n service_n then_o altogether_o to_o neglect_v it_o for_o as_o he_o say_v it_o be_v confess_v by_o all_o in_o all_o other_o duty_n &_o therefore_o it_o be_v but_o a_o beg_n of_o the_o question_n to_o deny_v it_o in_o this_o and_o of_o the_o lord_n for_o that_o first_o of_o isaiah_n the_o scope_n of_o the_o chapter_n be_v to_o demonstrate_v and_o show_v what_o a_o most_o horrible_a apostasy_n there_o be_v of_o the_o whole_a people_n of_o judah_n at_o that_o time_n but_o especial_o of_o the_o ruler_n and_o judge_n over_o they_o vers_n 21_o 22_o 23._o in_o so_o much_o that_o vers_fw-la 10._o they_o be_v call_v ruler_n of_o sodom_n and_o prince_n of_o gomorrah_n because_o they_o be_v so_o degenerate_a from_o what_o they_o shall_v be_v according_a to_o divine_a appointment_n and_o therefore_o no_o wonder_n if_o the_o lord_n do_v upbraid_v they_o with_o their_o sacrifice_n new_a moon_n sabbath_n and_o solemn_a meeting_n and_o that_o the_o lord_n regard_v they_o not_o why_o their_o hand_n be_v full_a of_o oppression_n and_o blood_n there_o be_v no_o answerablenesse_n in_o other_o thing_n to_o the_o duty_n of_o worship_n they_o do_v perform_v and_o yet_o they_o think_v because_o they_o have_v the_o worship_n of_o god_n among_o they_o they_o may_v do_v all_o manner_n of_o abomination_n and_o that_o be_v the_o use_n they_o make_v of_o former_a deliverance_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v hard_o to_o say_v that_o they_o have_v be_v less_o sinful_a if_o they_o have_v altogether_o omit_v the_o duty_n of_o worship_n or_o that_o they_o be_v condemn_v because_o they_o do_v perform_v they_o the_o lord_n tell_v they_o that_o if_o they_o will_v put_v away_o the_o evil_a of_o their_o do_n and_o cease_v to_o do_v evil_a and_o learn_v to_o do_v well_o seek_v judgement_n relieve_v the_o oppress_v judge_v the_o fatherless_a plead_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o widow_n the_o which_o thing_n they_o may_v do_v then_o the_o lord_n promise_v grace_n and_o favour_n pardon_v of_o sin_n and_o acceptance_n in_o his_o worship_n but_o the_o want_n of_o obedience_n in_o those_o particular_n make_v they_o not_o accept_v in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n command_v worship_n yet_o they_o may_v not_o leave_v off_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n neither_o be_v here_o any_o thing_n to_o affright_v they_o from_o it_o but_o motive_n and_o argument_n use_v to_o make_v they_o more_o obedient_a in_o all_o other_o observance_n answerable_a to_o that_o worship_n of_o god_n as_o they_o expect_v good_a from_o he_o now_o what_o be_v all_o this_o to_o they_o that_o yield_v a_o outward_a conformity_n at_o least_o in_o all_o or_o most_o thing_n which_o god_n require_v to_o prove_v that_o it_o be_v no_o better_o for_o
