occasion_n of_o far_o great_a scandal_n by_o our_o disobedience_n than_o we_o can_v do_v by_o our_o submission_n to_o the_o command_n of_o our_o superior_n as_o i_o have_v show_v already_o for_o 1._o by_o disobedience_n to_o our_o superior_n in_o lawful_a matter_n we_o give_v occasion_n to_o other_o to_o traduce_v the_o gospel_n by_o represent_v it_o as_o that_o which_o teach_v christian_n to_o refuse_v obedience_n to_o the_o command_n of_o their_o superior_n in_o lawful_a matter_n 2_o we_o provoke_v superior_n to_o punish_v this_o our_o disobedience_n now_o either_o we_o deserve_v that_o punishment_n or_o not_o if_o we_o deserve_v it_o we_o must_v confess_v that_o we_o be_v evil_a doer_n by_o not_o afford_v this_o submission_n to_o the_o command_n of_o our_o superior_n and_o therefore_o can_v true_o plead_v the_o scandal_n of_o the_o weak_a for_o our_o justification_n in_o so_o do_v if_o we_o deserve_v it_o not_o then_o do_v we_o give_v occasion_n to_o the_o sin_n of_o magistrate_n in_o punish_v we_o unjust_o and_o so_o have_v the_o same_o reason_n to_o avoid_v their_o scandal_n 3_o by_o disobedience_n to_o our_o superior_n in_o these_o matter_n we_o provoke_v other_o to_o judge_n censure_n and_o condemn_v we_o as_o disobedient_a and_o seditious_a person_n now_o either_o they_o do_v judge_v aright_o when_o they_o do_v pass_v this_o sentence_n on_o we_o a_o time_n what_o method_n we_o shall_v use_v in_o preach_v what_o word_n in_o prayer_n or_o what_o gesture_n with_o
already_o in_o many_o instance_n of_o thing_n no_o where_n determine_v by_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n and_o yet_o enjoin_v by_o they_o it_o be_v also_o contrary_a to_o the_o apostle_n practise_v who_o forbid_v the_o use_n of_o thing_n strangle_v and_o blood_n though_o they_o not_o only_o be_v thing_n in_o themselves_o indifferent_a but_o thing_n require_v by_o that_o ceremonial_a law_n from_o which_o our_o lord_n have_v free_v his_o servant_n and_o therefore_o more_o may_v have_v be_v plead_v against_o submit_v unto_o that_o decree_n than_o to_o the_o constitution_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n concern_v other_o thing_n indifferent_a last_o st._n paul_n require_v that_o all_o thing_n which_o relate_v unto_o god_n public_a worship_n of_o which_o he_o there_o discourse_v shall_v mention_v §_o 4_o 1._o from_o what_o have_v be_v discourse_v it_o be_v evident_a that_o christian_a liberty_n can_v be_v violate_v by_o these_o imposition_n because_o the_o conscience_n be_v oblige_v
