authority_n and_o to_o do_v either_o of_o both_o be_v a_o sin_n too_o out_o of_o which_o snare_n since_o there_o be_v no_o way_n of_o escape_n but_o one_o which_o be_v to_o rectify_v his_o judgement_n and_o to_o quit_v his_o pernicious_a error_n it_o concern_v every_o man_n therefore_o that_o unfeigned_o desire_v to_o do_v his_o duty_n in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o to_o keep_v a_o good_a 4.14_o child_n off_o and_o on_o soon_o wherry_v about_o with_o every_o blast_n of_o doctrine_n sometime_o it_o proceed_v from_o tenderness_n of_o conscience_n which_o be_v indeed_o a_o very_a bless_a and_o gracious_a thing_n but_o yet_o as_o tender_a thing_n may_v soon_o miscarry_v if_o they_o be_v not_o the_o more_o choice_o handle_v very_o obnoxious_a through_o satan_n diligence_n and_o subtlety_n to_o be_v wrought_v upon_o to_o dangerous_a inconvenience_n sometime_o it_o may_v proceed_v from_o the_o probability_n of_o those_o reason_n that_o seem_v to_o stand_v on_o either_o side_n undergo_v in_o they_o such_o as_o be_v the_o calling_n of_o justice_n of_o peace_n the_o high_a sheriff_n of_o a_o county_n a_o constable_n churchwarden_n soldier_n etc._n etc._n now_o from_o these_o calling_n man_n of_o sufficiency_n to_o avoid_v trouble_n and_o charge_n will_v withdraw_v themselves_o and_o so_o the_o king_n and_o country_n shall_v be_v serve_v either_o not_o at_o all_o or_o by_o unworthy_a one_o here_o likewise_o will_v be_v no_o order_n if_o there_o be_v not_o leave_v in_o some_o other_o a_o power_n to_o impose_v those_o office_n upon_o sufficient_a man_n it_o may_v be_v those_o in_o who_o either_o power_n reside_v may_v sometime_o yea_o often_o abuse_v it_o for_o they_o be_v but_o man_n keep_v back_o sufficient_a man_n and_o admit_v unsufficient_a into_o calling_n of_o the_o former_a spare_v sufficient_a man_n and_o impose_v upon_o unsufficient_a office_n of_o the_o latter_a kind_n this_o be_v not_o well_o but_o yet_o what_o wise_a man_n know_v not_o that_o there_o can_v not_o be_v avoid_v a_o necessity_n of_o general_a inconvenience_n if_o there_o shall_v not_o be_v leave_v a_o possibility_n of_o particular_a mischief_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v secret_a work_n in_o it_o and_o rest_n upon_o the_o warrant_n of_o this_o outward_a call_v the_o outward_a call_v then_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n of_o small_a moment_n or_o to_o be_v light_o regard_v 43._o sometime_o as_o in_o the_o case_n last_o propose_v it_o may_v have_v the_o chief_a and_o the_o cast_a voice_n but_o where_o it_o have_v least_o it_o have_v always_o a_o negative_a in_o every_o there_o may_v be_v some_o difficulty_n and_o the_o great_a difficulty_n and_o which_o have_v breed_v most_o trouble_n be_v in_o compare_v the_o case_n of_o scandal_n and_o disobedience_n together_o knot_n which_o if_o we_o will_v but_o lay_v thing_n right_o together_o have_v not_o in_o it_o so_o much_o hardness_n as_o it_o seem_v to_o have_v let_v this_o be_v our_o seven_o position_n in_o the_o use_n of_o the_o creature_n and_o all_o indifferent_a thing_n we_o ought_v to_o bear_v a_o great_a regard_n to_o our_o public_a governor_n than_o to_o our_o private_a brethren_n and_o be_v more_o careful_a to_o obey_v they_o than_o to_o satisfy_v these_o if_o the_o same_o course_n will_v not_o in_o some_o mediocrity_n satisfy_v both_o alas_o that_o our_o brethren_n who_o be_v contrary_a mind_v all_o the_o same_o and_o more_o may_v be_v say_v for_o a_o governor_n for_o a_o governor_n be_v a_o brother_n too_o and_o something_o more_o and_o duty_n be_v charity_n too_o and_o something_o more_o if_o then_o i_o may_v not_o offend_v my_o brother_n then_o certain_o not_o my_o governor_n because_o he_o be_v my_o brother_n too_o be_v a_o man_n and_o a_o christian_a as_o well_o as_o the_o other_o be_v and_o the_o same_o charity_n that_o bind_v i_o to_o satisfy_v another_o brother_n equal_o bind_v i_o to_o satisfy_v this_o so_o that_o if_o we_o go_v no_o far_o but_o even_o to_o the_o common_a accession_n of_o disp_n magistracy_n to_o common_a brotherhood_n in_o he_o and_o of_o duty_n to_o common_a charity_n in_o i_o be_v enough_o to_o cast_v it_o clear_a for_o the_o magistrate_n shall_v a_o servant_n in_o a_o family_n rather_o than_o offend_v his_o fellow-servant_n disobey_v his_o master_n and_o be_v not_o a_o double_a scandal_n against_o charity_n and_o duty_n both_o for_o duty_n imply_v charity_n great_a than_o a_o single_a scandal_n against_o charity_n alone_o if_o private_a man_n will_v be_v offend_v at_o our_o obedience_n to_o public_a governor_n we_o can_v but_o be_v
