thing_n be_v this_o to_o satisfy_v ourselves_o that_o we_o be_v in_o the_o way_n go_v to_o the_o thing_n but_o have_v we_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o journey_n for_o jesus_n christ_n be_v the_o thing_n jesus_n christ_n in_o prayer_n have_v i_o get_v to_o jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o word_n and_o that_o be_v a_o good_a sign_n when_o the_o heart_n of_o sinner_n be_v satisfy_v with_o nothing_o with_o other_z where_o that_o if_o that_o fail_v we_o may_v have_v two_o string_n to_o our_o bow_n but_o we_o must_v come_v to_o christ_n and_o lay_v the_o full_a weight_n upon_o he_o alone_o the_o full_a soul_n upon_o he_o we_o must_v come_v to_o christ_n not_o as_o if_o we_o be_v over_o some_o deep_a pit_n and_o here_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o rest_n upon_o that_o be_v strong_a enough_o that_o if_o mast_n and_o he_o lie_v down_o and_o sleep_v there_o this_o be_v the_o restless_a condition_n of_o of_o ungodly_a man_n i_o will_v name_v brief_o some_o few_o reason_n and_o so_o proceed_v certain_o there_o be_v no_o rest_n unto_o they_o that_o be_v ouâ—_n christ_n 1._o for_o he_o be_v under_o the_o curse_n he_o be_v under_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o curse_n of_o god_n under_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n whatever_o befall_v he_o in_o this_o world_n whatever_o affliction_n it_o be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o curse_n and_o for_o aught_o he_o know_v every_o sorrow_n see_v what_o infinite_a need_v you_o have_v of_o christ_n much_o may_v be_v say_v of_o the_o sinful_a condition_n of_o all_o out_o of_o christ_n for_o we_o must_v know_v than_o in_o sin_n there_o be_v a_o jar_a against_o god_n against_o the_o infinite_a glorious_a god_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o confusion_n nothing_o but_o distemper_n in_o sin_n and_o therefore_o a_o sinful_a condition_n can_v be_v no_o condition_n to_o rest_v in_o 5._o in_o what_o affliction_n soever_o any_o one_o be_v in_o that_o be_v out_o of_o christ_n he_o have_v no_o where_o to_o go_v for_o comefort_n for_o there_o condition_n of_o all_o man_n out_o of_o christ_n oh_o then_o the_o blindness_n security_n and_o hardness_n of_o heart_n that_o there_o be_v almost_o in_o all_o the_o world_n if_o this_o 〈◊〉_d the_o truth_n of_o god_n and_o indeed_o this_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o all_o out_o of_o christ_n we_o may_v from_o hence_o conclude_v that_o
holiness_n now_o for_o the_o last_o thing_n that_o i_o propound_v to_o exhort_v and_o draw_v believer_n to_o come_v to_o christ_n and_o in_o this_o i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o take_v away_o the_o many_o hindrance_n of_o the_o soul_n in_o come_v to_o christ_n for_o sanctification_n and_o also_o give_v some_o encouragement_n to_o the_o heart_n to_o come_v to_o christ_n for_o sanctification_n you_o see_v here_o be_v the_o way_n to_o get_v power_n over_o corruption_n and_o to_o get_v grace_n namely_o to_o come_v to_o christ_n yea_o say_v you_o if_o i_o know_v i_o be_v a_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o have_v interest_n in_o christ_n then_o i_o can_v come_v to_o christ_n for_o power_n over_o my_o corruption_n and_o for_o grace_n but_o i_o be_o afraid_a i_o have_v no_o interest_n in_o he_o 1._o for_o answer_v to_o that_o which_o be_v the_o main_a stop_n and_o hindrance_n of_o faith_n know_v that_o if_o thou_o have_v but_o a_o heart_n to_o come_v to_o he_o for_o grace_n that_o be_v as_o good_a a_o sign_n of_o thy_o interest_n in_o christ_n as_o any_o sign_n thou_o have_v that_o be_v as_o good_a a_o sign_n of_o evidence_n of_o interest_n as_o any_o thou_o can_v expect_v 2._o you_o must_v come_v to_o he_o for_o grace_n and_o if_o thou_o have_v not_o interest_n before_o yet_o thy_o very_a come_n to_o he_o now_o for_o grace_n to_o help_v thou_o against_o corruption_n that_o very_a act_n of_o thou_o may_v give_v thou_o interest_n in_o christ_n what_o be_v it_o that_o unite_v thou_o to_o christ_n what_o be_v it_o that_o make_v a_o member_n of_o christ_n what_o be_v it_o that_o give_v interest_n in_o christ_n it_o be_v but_o the_o come_n to_o he_o as_o you_o hear_v before_o in_o the_o point_n quest_n be_v you_o will_v say_v if_o i_o have_v a_o right_a to_o he_o if_o thou_o come_v now_o to_o christ_n to_o get_v power_n over_o thy_o corruption_n and_o to_o get_v grace_n i_o say_v though_o thou_o have_v no_o interest_n before_o this_o very_a act_n may_v give_v thou_o interest_n in_o christ_n and_o therefore_o be_v not_o discourage_v but_o come_v to_o christ_n 3._o will_v thou_o stay_v till_o thou_o do_v find_v power_n against_o thy_o corruption_n before_o thou_o will_v come_v to_o he_o than_o thou_o will_v never_o have_v power_n against_o thy_o corruption_n for_o you_o have_v hear_v that_o it_o be_v christ_n that_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o thy_o sanctification_n and_o then_o for_o encouragement_n there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o excellent_a encouragement_n for_o poor_a sinner_n to_o come_v unto_o christ_n first_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o near_a union_n that_o there_o be_v between_o christ_n and_o we_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o very_a humane_a nature_n that_o place_n in_o heb._n 2.11_o be_v a_o very_a notable_a scripture_n for_o our_o encouragement_n for_o both_o he_o that_o sanctify_v and_o they_o that_o be_v sanctify_v be_v all_o one_o for_o which_o cause_n he_o be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o call_v they_o brethren_n he_o that_o sanctify_v and_o those_o that_o be_v sanctify_v be_v all_o one_o what_o be_v that_o that_o be_v christ_n be_v of_o the_o same_o nature_n that_o thou_o be_v christ_n have_v take_v our_o nature_n upon_o he_o and_o the_o fullness_n of_o the_o godhead_n do_v dwell_v bodily_a in_o he_o so_o that_o thou_o may_v go_v with_o the_o more_o boldness_n he_o that_o be_v thy_o brother_n be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o be_v call_v thy_o brother_n and_o therefore_o do_v not_o look_v upon_o he_o as_o at_o such_o a_o infinite_a distance_n as_o thy_o judge_n but_o look_v upon_o he_o as_o thy_o brother_n as_o one_o with_o he_o he_o that_o sanctify_v and_o they_o that_o be_v sanctify_v be_v all_o one_o thou_o and_o christ_n together_o be_v one_o body_n now_o what_o encouragement_n be_v here_o to_o expect_v sanctification_n from_o christ_n to_o overcome_v corruption_n because_o christ_n and_o you_o be_v make_v one_o body_n of_o the_o same_o nature_n and_o so_o near_o unite_v and_o make_v one_o second_o consider_v that_o if_o christ_n do_v love_v thou_o so_o dear_o as_o to_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o thou_o sure_o he_o will_v never_o suffer_v thou_o to_o perish_v in_o thy_o corruption_n shall_v christ_n come_v down_o from_o heaven_n and_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o poor_a soul_n and_o shall_v he_o suffer_v they_o to_o die_v under_o their_o corruption_n now_o if_o a_o many_o shall_v be_v willing_a to_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o a_o child_n and_o he_o shall_v come_v and_o see_v the_o child_n lie_v in_o the_o dirt_n ready_a to_o be_v stifle_v in_o the_o dirt_n can_v he_o go_v by_o and_o not_o regard_v the_o child_n this_o be_v our_o case_n christ_n have_v come_v and_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o poor_a sinner_n but_o yet_o they_o see_v themselves_o ready_a to_o be_v stifle_v by_o their_o corruption_n and_o they_o cry_v to_o he_o for_o help_v sure_o christ_n will_v not_o pass_v by_o and_o let_v thou_o lie_v in_o thy_o filthiness_n to_o be_v stifle_v in_o thy_o corruption_n when_o thou_o be_v so_o dear_a to_o he_o as_o to_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o thou_o three_o another_o encouragement_n be_v this_o know_v that_o thy_o corruption_n be_v the_o burden_n of_o christ_n as_o well_o as_o thy_o burden_n they_o be_v burden_n to_o thy_o soul_n and_o burden_n to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o therefore_o he_o do_v certain_o pity_v thou_o under_o they_o and_o will_v help_v thou_o four_o if_o christ_n have_v so_o much_o pity_n as_o to_o heal_v the_o body_n of_o poor_a creature_n here_o in_o this_o world_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o disease_v body_n a_o burden_n it_o be_v to_o be_v tempt_v to_o sin_n and_o sure_o christ_n can_v but_o know_v what_o a_o burden_n it_o be_v to_o be_v overcome_v with_o sin_n now_o christ_n himself_o have_v the_o burden_n of_o be_v tempt_v unto_o sin_n and_o christ_n know_v that_o thy_o burden_n be_v great_a than_o his_o burden_n be_v and_o that_o it_o be_v more_o to_o be_v overcome_v then_o to_o be_v tempt_v to_o sin_n and_o therefore_o he_o know_v how_o to_o pity_v thou_o six_o know_v it_o be_v to_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o life_n of_o find_v abundance_n of_o strength_n against_o thy_o corruption_n and_o rest_v unto_o thy_o soul_n chap._n xliii_o contain_v the_o conclusion_n of_o the_o former_a doctrine_n of_o sanctification_n you_o must_v have_v it_o by_o i_o there_o be_v many_o who_o conscience_n god_n have_v begin_v to_o enlighten_v to_o see_v that_o there_o be_v a_o evil_n in_o sin_n that_o sin_n will_v bring_v death_n quiet_a there_o be_v many_o that_o have_v be_v divers_a year_n labour_v and_o take_v pain_n to_o get_v their_o conscience_n to_o be_v quiet_a and_o can_v but_o their_o conscience_n ever_o and_o anon_o will_v be_v fly_v in_o their_o face_n &_o trouble_v of_o they_o and_o yet_o they_o be_v such_o people_n as_o dare_v not_o commit_v any_o know_a sin_n dare_v not_o neglect_v any_o know_a duty_n be_v constant_a in_o prayer_n in_o secret_a attend_v upon_o the_o word_n and_o whensoever_o they_o hear_v of_o a_o duty_n that_o they_o shall_v perform_v they_o labour_v to_o set_v upon_o it_o withal_o their_o might_n but_o alas_o they_o feel_v little_a sweetness_n and_o comfort_n in_o

come_v to_o have_v rest_n to_o their_o soul_n notwithstanding_o their_o imperfection_n in_o duty_n when_o you_o go_v to_o prayer_n indeed_o sometime_o when_o your_o heart_n be_v much_o enlarge_v in_o prayer_n and_o your_o thought_n be_v take_v up_o whole_o with_o the_o duty_n that_o you_o be_v perform_v than_o you_o think_v you_o have_v some_o comfort_n but_o when_o you_o have_v any_o wander_a power_n of_o any_o corruption_n not_o only_o under_o the_o gild_n of_o your_o sin_n but_o under_o the_o power_n of_o corruption_n that_o feel_v your_o sin_n strong_a in_o you_o and_o you_o will_v of_o your_o soul_n that_o you_o can_v overcome_v they_o come_v to_o i_o say_v christ_n and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_n from_o they_o also_o first_o you_o that_o labour_n under_o the_o burden_n of_o duty_n and_o find_v they_o toilsome_a second_o you_o that_o labour_n under_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n and_o find_v your_o soul_n perplex_v by_o it_o three_o you_o that_o labour_v under_o the_o power_n of_o any_o corruption_n and_o can_v overcome_v it_o come_v to_o i_o and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_v and_o then_o the_o burden_n of_o affliction_n four_o you_o that_o labour_v under_o any_o outward_a trouble_n or_o affliction_n in_o this_o world_n all_o you_o that_o be_v in_o any_o sad_a condition_n that_o have_v any_o burden_n upon_o you_o outward_o if_o you_o come_v to_o christ_n he_o will_v ease_v you_o of_o they_o though_o perhaps_o he_o will_v not_o take_v they_o from_o you_o though_o you_o may_v be_v under_o the_o affliction_n as_o before_o yet_o you_o shall_v have_v rest_n and_o ease_v in_o they_o have_v you_o any_o burden_n of_o poverty_n have_v you_o any_o burden_n in_o your_o child_n have_v you_o any_o burden_n in_o your_o yoke_n fellow_n or_o burden_n by_o reason_n of_o weakness_n in_o body_n if_o you_o will_v have_v rest_n you_o must_v go_v for_o it_o to_o chirst_n many_o when_o they_o be_v under_o any_o outward_a affliction_n they_o go_v no_o further_o than_o the_o creature_n for_o rest_n oh_o if_o i_o have_v but_o good_a friend_n i_o shall_v be_v happy_a or_o if_o i_o have_v but_o a_o estate_n i_o shall_v be_v well_o but_o if_o thy_o poverty_n do_v work_v upon_o thy_o heart_n kind_o it_o will_v drive_v thou_o to_o chest_n and_o make_v thou_o to_o say_v true_a i_o be_o poor_a in_o this_o world_n but_o there_o be_v enough_o in_o christ_n to_o make_v i_o rich_a there_o be_v mercy_n enough_o in_o christ_n to_o make_v my_o life_n comfortable_a to_o make_v i_o who_o be_o for_o the_o present_a in_o a_o miserable_a condition_n happy_a for_o ever_o those_o that_o be_v poor_a outward_o they_o shall_v go_v to_o christ_n if_o their_o poverty_n do_v drive_v they_o to_o christ_n it_o be_v a_o good_a sign_n that_o the_o lord_n do_v sanctify_v their_o poverty_n unto_o they_o now_o because_o all_o these_o burden_n if_o they_o be_v handle_v distinct_o the_o burden_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n the_o burden_n of_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n the_o burden_n of_o the_o power_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o burden_n of_o outward_a affliction_n in_o this_o world_n to_o open_v these_o full_o and_o to_o show_v how_o christ_n call_v those_o that_o be_v under_o these_o to_o himself_o will_v take_v up_o much_o time_n therefore_o i_o will_v pitch_v upon_o the_o second_o at_o present_a and_o handle_v that_o more_o thorough_o and_o that_o be_v the_o labour_n under_o the_o burden_n of_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n you_o that_o labour_n under_o the_o burden_n of_o the_o gild_n of_o sin_n come_v to_o i_o and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_v i_o will_v not_o here_o stand_v to_o open_v unto_o you_o what_o the_o burden_n of_o the_o gild_n of_o sin_n be_v then_o i_o shall_v soon_o slip_v into_o a_o christ_n and_o make_v he_o sweat_v drop_n of_o blood_n and_o it_o be_v that_o that_o have_v be_v a_o great_a weight_n and_o burden_n upon_o many_o thousand_o of_o god_n saint_n it_o be_v that_o that_o the_o damn_a in_o hell_n lie_v under_o now_o and_o must_v do_v so_o eternal_o curse_v blaspheme_v of_o god_n it_o be_v that_o that_o make_v the_o whole_a creation_n to_o groan_v and_o travel_v in_o pain_n however_o many_o people_n think_v slight_o and_o mean_o of_o it_o yet_o when_o the_o lord_n do_v lay_v it_o upon_o any_o soul_n such_o a_o soul_n do_v find_v it_o to_o be_v a_o burden_n indeed_o chap._n iii_o the_o burden_n under_o sin_n lay_v open_a in_o nine_o particular_n 1._o when_o the_o soul_n not_o only_o apprehend_v but_o be_v sensible_a of_o the_o evil_a of_o sin_n in_o the_o reality_n of_o it_o 2._o find_v all_o the_o comfort_n that_o do_v attend_v sin_n before_o to_o vanish_v and_o come_v to_o nothing_o 3._o look_v upon_o itself_o as_o loathsome_a and_o be_v in_o some_o measure_n bow_v to_o god_n 4._o tremble_v at_o the_o least_o thought_n and_o temptation_n to_o sin_n 5._o feel_v sin_n heavy_a
all_o and_o yet_o you_o do_v not_o cry_v out_o but_o paul_n he_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o guilt_n of_o his_o sin_n yet_o the_o very_a remainder_n of_o sin_n in_o his_o heart_n be_v a_o burden_n corruption_n and_o so_o make_v some_o application_n of_o it_o first_o then_o in_o what_o respect_n the_o remain_a part_n of_o sin_n and_o corruption_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o saint_n be_v a_o burden_n the_o first_o burden_n of_o corruption_n first_o it_o be_v a_o burden_n of_o grief_n unto_o they_o you_o know_v grief_n cause_v heaviness_n and_o sadness_n now_o the_o remainder_n of_o corruption_n that_o they_o find_v in_o they_o it_o be_v as_o lead_v and_o lie_v heavy_a upon_o their_o spirit_n in_o regard_n of_o grief_n it_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o grief_n and_o trouble_n some_o will_v say_v perhaps_o sometime_o to_o other_o such_o and_o such_o that_o be_v professor_n of_o religion_n they_o go_v very_o sad_o and_o heavy_o and_o when_o once_o you_o come_v to_o be_v so_o strict_a in_o your_o way_n you_o will_v loose_v all_o your_o comfort_n for_o such_o and_o such_o be_v always_o sad_a and_o pensive_a but_o do_v you_o know_v what_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o their_o sadness_n you_o have_v as_o much_o cause_n to_o be_v sad_a as_o they_o the_o burden_n be_v not_o because_o they_o be_v religious_a but_o because_o they_o be_v no_o more_o religious_a not_o because_o now_o they_o do_v more_o duty_n than_o they_o do_v before_o but_o because_o they_o can_v find_v their_o heart_n come_v up_o to_o their_o duty_n as_o they_o will_v do_v not_o attribute_n their_o grief_n to_o their_o godliness_n but_o rather_o say_v to_o thyself_o thus_o if_o they_o that_o do_v so_o much_o for_o god_n be_v yet_o so_o much_o trouble_v and_o grieve_v because_o they_o do_v no_o more_o for_o god_n how_o much_o cause_n of_o trouble_n and_o grief_n have_v i_o then_o that_o do_v nothing_o at_o all_o for_o god_n the_o second_o burden_n of_o corruption_n second_o the_o remain_a part_n of_o corruption_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o saint_n it_o be_v a_o burden_n of_o shame_n grief_n be_v a_o burden_n and_o shame_n be_v a_o burden_n many_o that_o can_v bear_v great_a burden_n that_o can_v bear_v the_o burden_n of_o poverty_n yet_o be_v not_o able_a to_o bear_v the_o burden_n of_o disgrace_n especial_o to_o those_o that_o be_v most_o ingenious_a it_o be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a burden_n in_o the_o world_n now_o the_o saint_n they_o be_v ashamed_a of_o the_o corruption_n that_o remain_v in_o they_o they_o account_v it_o a_o shame_n before_o the_o lord_n and_o before_o his_o bless_a angel_n and_o in_o regard_n of_o themselves_o what_o they_o know_v of_o themselves_o that_o the_o world_n know_v not_o of_o they_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o ashame_n that_o they_o do_v even_o loath_a and_o abhor_v themselves_o as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v it_o may_v be_v their_o life_n be_v such_o as_o other_o do_v honour_n and_o have_v high_a thought_n of_o they_o but_o they_o be_v acquaint_v with_o their_o own_o heart_n and_o look_v into_o the_o secret_a work_n of_o their_o own_o spirit_n they_o see_v so_o much_o evil_n there_o as_o they_o see_v much_o cause_n to_o abhor_v and_o loathe_v themselves_o and_o to_o lie_v down_o in_o their_o shame_n before_o the_o lord_n who_o they_o know_v do_v see_v into_o their_o heart_n a_o great_a deal_n more_o than_o they_o can_v see_v themselves_o i_o will_v appeal_v to_o any_o one_o that_o know_v his_o own_o heart_n if_o god_n shall_v open_v your_o heart_n and_o make_v it_o know_v to_o your_o friend_n and_o acquaintance_n so_o much_o evil_a as_o be_v in_o your_o heart_n in_o the_o perform_n of_o one_o duty_n if_o all_o man_n shall_v know_v so_o much_o evil_a as_o be_v in_o your_o heart_n at_o one_o time_n in_o prayer_n or_o hear_v a_o sermon_n will_v you_o not_o be_v ashamed_a now_o god_n know_v and_o see_v all_o the_o baseness_n and_o vildness_n of_o your_o spirit_n and_o the_o godly_a know_v this_o they_o can_v but_o be_v ashamed_a and_o go_v under_o this_o burden_n of_o shame_n with_o heavy_a heart_n the_o three_o burden_n of_o corruption_n three_o the_o remain_a part_n of_o corruption_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o godly_a it_o carry_v with_o it_o a_o burden_n of_o fear_n fear_v you_o know_v be_v a_o great_a burden_n as_o well_o as_o grief_n and_o shame_n though_o the_o evil_n be_v not_o so_o great_a upon_o they_o yet_o if_o their_o be_v a_o evil_n apprehend_v to_o come_v upon_o they_o it_o be_v a_o great_a burden_n to_o they_o as_o those_o that_o dare_v not_o go_v out_o of_o door_n in_o the_o night_n because_o of_o fear_n or_o dare_v not_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a because_o of_o fear_n when_o they_o be_v deliver_v from_o their_o fear_n do_v they_o not_o account_v that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a burden_n now_o the_o godly_a they_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o fear_n upon_o their_o heart_n and_o the_o truth_n be_v those_o that_o be_v godly_a they_o fear_v more_o what_o their_o own_o evil_a heart_n shall_v bring_v upon_o they_o than_o what_o all_o the_o devil_n in_o hell_n and_o all_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o world_n can_v bring_v upon_o they_o and_o that_o be_v a_o good_a fear_n but_o yet_o it_o make_v they_o walk_v heavy_o other_o fear_v sometime_o they_o fear_v man_n fear_v those_o that_o will_v come_v and_o take_v away_o their_o estate_n and_o undo_v they_o fear_v their_o enemy_n or_o fear_v the_o devil_n but_o one_o that_o be_v godly_a he_o fear_v more_o his_o own_o heart_n the_o evil_a that_o may_v come_v to_o his_o soul_n by_o that_o than_o all_o the_o hurt_n that_o all_o the_o devil_n in_o hell_n can_v do_v to_o he_o for_o they_o can_v afflict_v more_o than_o the_o body_n i_o but_o this_o bring_v a_o evil_a upon_o the_o soul_n it_o break_v their_o communion_n between_o they_o and_o god_n and_o therefore_o they_o be_v afraid_a of_o sin_n before_o it_o come_v they_o have_v experience_n of_o their_o heart_n what_o evil_a it_o have_v do_v to_o they_o and_o so_o be_v afraid_a of_o miscarry_v and_o afraid_a of_o the_o evil_a consequence_n of_o their_o sin_n they_o do_v not_o know_v what_o mischief_n their_o sin_n may_v possible_o bring_v upon_o they_o and_o so_o they_o go_v under_o this_o burden_n of_o fear_n along_o time_n together_o even_o those_o that_o be_v true_o godly_a the_o four_o burden_n of_o corruption_n four_o the_o remain_a part_n of_o corruption_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o saint_n be_v a_o burden_n of_o care_n for_o man_n and_o woman_n to_o be_v always_o careful_a to_o be_v full_a of_o care_n you_o know_v that_o be_v a_o great_a burden_n that_o many_o of_o you_o be_v acquaint_v with_o that_o when_o you_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o business_n upon_o you_o and_o much_o lie_v upon_o you_o when_o your_o thought_n be_v full_a of_o fear_n and_o so_o we_o must_v need_v be_v full_a of_o care_n in_o this_o world_n though_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o difference_n between_o the_o distract_n care_n that_o wicked_a man_n have_v about_o their_o outward_a estate_n and_o the_o care_n of_o the_o godly_a about_o keep_v their_o
christ_n what_o do_v thou_o think_v that_o mercy_n be_v worth_a that_o cost_v the_o blood_n of_o christ_n thou_o think_v thou_o be_v a_o great_a sinner_n and_o that_o it_o must_v be_v wonderful_a mercy_n that_o must_v save_v thy_o soul_n it_o be_v true_a and_o it_o be_v well_o thou_o think_v so_o but_o now_o consider_v further_a sinner_n what_o do_v thou_o think_v of_o the_o mercy_n that_o vile_a i_o will_v receive_v he_o upon_o this_o ground_n because_o he_o be_v not_o so_o vile_a this_o be_v never_o the_o ground_n but_o when_o he_o receive_v they_o he_o receive_v they_o upon_o free_a grace_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o how_o vile_a thou_o be_v for_o that_o be_v the_o glory_n of_o christ_n to_o save_v vile_a creature_n and_o he_o save_v none_o but_o those_o that_o come_v as_o beggar_n those_o that_o come_v and_o do_v see_v themselves_o as_o vile_a wretched_a worthless_a unworthy_a miserable_a damn_a dust_n and_o ash_n in_o themselves_o only_o such_o be_v object_n for_o their_o first_o conversion_n have_v their_o heart_n so_o fill_v with_o joy_n because_o at_o their_o first_o come_v to_o christ_n christ_n do_v give_v they_o such_o wonderful_a embracement_n till_o they_o come_v to_o be_v more_o strengthen_v and_o then_o perhaps_o christ_n will_v have_v they_o live_v rather_o by_o faith_n than_o by_o sense_n it_o be_v in_o the_o new_a birth_n as_o in_o the_o birth_n of_o nature_n child_n when_o they_o be_v first_o bear_v they_o shoot_v up_o mighty_o take_v a_o child_n that_o come_v very_o little_a out_o of_o the_o womb_n come_v to_o it_o a_o quarter_n of_o a_o year_n after_o the_o child_n be_v shoot_v up_o a_o great_a deal_n you_o may_v see_v it_o a_o great_a deal_n tall_a and_o big_a every_o limb_n increase_v but_o take_v it_o at_o ten_o year_n old_a and_o it_o grow_v not_o so_o much_o then_o as_o at_o the_o first_o and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o it_o come_v out_o of_o the_o worm_n womb_n it_o can_v not_o subsist_v if_o nature_n do_v not_o hasten_v to_o strengthen_v itself_o at_o first_o so_o man_n when_o they_o come_v to_o christ_n at_o first_o they_o shoot_v up_o and_o grow_v to_o such_o enlargement_n of_o spirit_n and_o they_o do_v so_o sensible_o perceive_v yea_o and_o other_o do_v so_o sensible_o perceive_v a_o great_a growth_n at_o their_o first_o come_v than_o afterward_o because_o when_o they_o first_o come_v christ_n will_v strengthen_v they_o against_o all_o discouragement_n christ_n will_v use_v you_o tender_o christ_n will_v not_o upbraid_v you_o for_o your_o former_a sin_n and_o say_v what!_o you_o that_o have_v live_v a_o profane_a life_n a_o profaner_n of_o my_o ordinance_n a_o scorner_n at_o my_o way_n and_o at_o my_o people_n christ_n will_v not_o upbraid_v the_o soul_n but_o he_o will_v be_v render_v of_o you_o he_o will_v pass_v by_o your_o sin_n and_o heal_v your_o weakness_n he_o will_v not_o break_v the_o bruise_a reed_n nor_o quench_v the_o smoke_a flax._n arg._n viii_o eight_o further_n consider_v the_o infinite_a need_n thy_o soul_n have_v of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o therefore_o that_o shall_v drive_v thou_o to_o he_o if_o the_o other_o argument_n do_v not_o draw_v thou_o the_o great_a conveyer_n of_o all_o good_a from_o god_n to_o we_o but_o also_o all_o that_o come_v to_o we_o from_o god_n must_v go_v through_o he_o and_o therefore_o there_o be_v cause_n thou_o shall_v hasten_v to_o christ_n and_o never_o be_v at_o quiet_a all_o thy_o life_n till_o thou_o have_v some_o comfortable_a evidence_n that_o thy_o heart_n have_v close_v with_o jesus_n christ_n there_o be_v a_o infinite_a necessity_n because_o all_o ordinance_n duty_n service_n whatever_o thou_o do_v do_v thou_o no_o good_a till_o thou_o come_v to_o christ_n arg._n ix_o nine_o yea_o further_o christ_n be_v such_o a_o one_o as_o all_o the_o creature_n one_o day_n will_v see_v a_o need_n of_o he_o yea_o all_o that_o live_v under_o the_o sound_n of_o the_o gospel_n they_o shall_v see_v a_o need_n of_o he_o and_o they_o shall_v curse_v themselves_o that_o when_o they_o live_v under_o the_o sound_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o be_v call_v to_o come_v to_o jesus_n christ_n that_o yet_o notwithstanding_o they_o will_v satisfy_v themselves_o in_o the_o lust_n of_o their_o spirit_n christ_n come_v from_o heaven_n once_o to_o we_o in_o the_o day_n of_o his_o flesh_n but_o know_v that_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v come_v again_o in_o his_o glory_n with_o all_o his_o angel_n all_o his_o saint_n about_o he_o and_o then_o how_o happy_a will_v those_o appear_v that_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o life_n when_o they_o be_v call_v by_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n do_v come_v to_o jesus_n christ_n when_o christ_n come_v thus_o in_o his_o glory_n perhaps_o you_o will_v then_o all_o go_v to_o jesus_n christ_n no_o friend_n if_o you_o will_v stay_v till_o then_o you_o will_v heaâ—_n another_o voice_n from_o christ_n he_o will_v not_o come_v to_o call_v sinner_n to_o yet_o further_o let_v i_o tell_v you_o this_o that_o while_o you_o have_v hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n by_o a_o poor_a minister_n in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n to_o call_v you_o unto_o he_o to_o draw_v you_o to_o come_v unto_o he_o if_o you_o shall_v reject_v this_o invitation_n and_o other_o invitation_n that_o you_o have_v by_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n know_v that_o of_o all_o the_o sin_n that_o ever_o you_o commit_v in_o all_o your_o life_n this_o will_v prove_v to_o be_v the_o great_a that_o you_o have_v stand_v
now_o this_o i_o may_v show_v you_o in_o abundance_n of_o scripture_n in_o the_o very_a first_o commission_n that_o jesus_n christ_n give_v unto_o his_o apostle_n after_o his_o resurrection_n to_o go_v and_o preach_v throughout_o the_o world_n he_o say_v unto_o they_o in_o mark_n 16.15_o verse_n go_v you_o into_o all_o the_o world_n and_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o every_o creature_n he_o that_o believe_v and_o be_v baptise_a shall_v be_v save_v this_o be_v clear_a that_o christ_n will_v have_v we_o in_o our_o first_o believe_v to_o have_v a_o aim_n at_o our_o own_o good_a and_o so_o we_o find_v such_o a_o kind_n of_o promise_n as_o this_o be_v in_o the_o text_n in_o jer._n 6.16_o verse_n thus_o say_v the_o lord_n stand_v in_o the_o way_n and_o see_v and_o ask_v for_o the_o old_a path_n where_o the_o good_a way_n be_v and_o walk_v therein_o and_o you_o shall_v find_v rest_n for_o your_o soul_n inquire_v after_o the_o good_a way_n and_o you_o shall_v find_v rest_n for_o your_o soul_n so_o that_o you_o see_v god_n propound_v duty_n together_o with_o promise_n the_o lord_n know_v what_o be_v best_a for_o we_o and_o what_o will_v work_v most_o upon_o we_o and_o therefore_o for_o we_o to_o think_v that_o we_o must_v have_v no_o aim_n at_o all_o of_o any_o good_a to_o ourselves_o in_o come_v to_o christ_n and_o that_o it_o be_v no_o grace_n but_o self-love_n to_o come_v to_o christ_n for_o our_o own_o good_a this_o be_v a_o temptation_n i_o speak_v the_o rather_o this_o point_n because_o i_o know_v how_o useful_a it_o be_v unto_o many_o poor_a soul_n who_o the_o lord_n be_v draw_v unto_o jesus_n christ_n the_o lord_n have_v take_v off_o their_o heart_n from_o sinful_a self_n they_o will_v not_o enjoy_v themselves_o in_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n as_o former_o the_o lord_n have_v make_v they_o willing_a to_o deny_v their_o own_o opinion_n their_o own_o will_n their_o own_o affection_n their_o former_a way_n to_o deny_v themselves_o in_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n so_o as_o to_o prize_v he_o and_o christ_n and_o his_o way_n the_o way_n of_o christ_n more_o than_o they_o prize_v their_o very_a life_n here_o in_o this_o world_n and_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o there_o come_v a_o temptation_n upon_o they_o i_o but_o you_o seek_v christ_n only_o to_o free_v you_o from_o hell_n and_o to_o save_v you_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v but_o self-love_n it_o be_v no_o true_a grace_n because_o that_o you_o aim_v at_o yourselves_o rather_o than_o christ_n the_o devil_n can_v prevail_v with_o a_o heart_n that_o be_v draw_v to_o christ_n thus_o tell_v of_o it_o oh_o but_o you_o prize_v your_o lust_n more_o than_o christ_n or_o you_o prize_v your_o ease_n more_o than_o christ_n or_o you_o prize_v your_o estate_n and_o your_o liberty_n more_o than_o christ_n or_o your_o life_n more_o than_o christ_n if_o so_o be_v that_o the_o devil_n shall_v come_v thus_o and_o tempt_v such_o a_o soul_n can_v in_o some_o measure_n be_v able_a to_o answer_v and_o to_o appeal_v unto_o god_n and_o say_v lord_n thou_o that_o know_v all_o thing_n know_v it_o be_v otherwise_o that_o howsoever_o my_o heart_n heretofore_o go_v after_o my_o lust_n after_o the_o world_n after_o my_o ease_n and_o liberty_n and_o i_o follow_v the_o common_a course_n of_o the_o world_n and_o make_v those_o thing_n to_o be_v my_o great_a good_a and_o comfort_n yet_o lord_n thou_o know_v it_o be_v otherwise_o with_o i_o now_o my_o heart_n be_v set_v for_o christ_n and_o i_o can_v say_v from_o the_o bottom_n of_o my_o soul_n with_o that_o bless_a martyr_n lambert_n none_o but_o christ_n none_o but_o christ_n now_o when_o the_o heart_n be_v get_v thus_o far_o one_o will_v think_v thou_o may_v be_v above_o the_o devil_n and_o come_v to_o get_v assurance_n i_o say_v the_o devil_n though_o you_o be_v take_v off_o thus_o far_o that_o you_o dare_v not_o commit_v any_o know_a sin_n and_o you_o seek_v after_o christ_n more_o than_o your_o estate_n and_o your_o liberty_n yet_o there_o be_v one_o thing_n more_o that_o your_o heart_n be_v not_o take_v off_o from_o you_o do_v not_o prize_n christ_n most_o of_o all_o you_o seek_v christ_n to_o save_v you_o from_o hell_n and_o bring_v you_o to_o heaven_n that_o be_v it_o that_o you_o seek_v christ_n for_o and_o therefore_o i_o know_v your_o heart_n be_v not_o right_a all_o this_o while_n this_o be_v a_o temptation_n that_o seize_v upon_o many_o man_n now_o i_o confess_v it_o be_v a_o temptation_n that_o be_v beyond_o many_o man_n they_o do_v not_o know_v what_o this_o temptation_n be_v that_o i_o prize_v christ_n only_o to_o deliver_v i_o from_o hell_n and_o bring_v i_o to_o heaven_n this_o temptation_n be_v above_o the_o high_a form_n of_o the_o course_n of_o the_o world_n then_o ordinary_a professor_n now_o the_o spirit_n in_o the_o text_n thus_o answer_v this_o temptation_n the_o soul_n thus_o answer_v it_o be_v true_a i_o do_v seek_v christ_n to_o save_v i_o from_o hell_n and_o bring_v i_o to_o heaven_n the_o fear_n of_o the_o wrath_n of_o the_o great_a god_n under_o which_o i_o see_v myself_o to_o be_v and_o the_o displeasure_n of_o god_n be_v mighty_a upon_o my_o spirit_n the_o lord_n have_v make_v my_o soul_n to_o be_v sensible_a of_o the_o dreadful_a breach_n that_o sin_n have_v make_v between_o he_o and_o my_o soul_n and_o the_o lord_n have_v cause_v the_o fear_n of_o eternity_n to_o fall_v upon_o my_o soul_n and_o i_o come_v to_o be_v convince_v of_o this_o that_o such_o be_v the_o breach_n between_o god_n and_o my_o soul_n that_o there_o be_v none_o but_o jesus_n christ_n the_o mediator_n of_o the_o second_o covenant_n that_o be_v able_a to_o make_v up_o the_o breach_n and_o my_o soul_n make_v after_o he_o as_o the_o mediator_n as_o he_o be_v propound_v in_o the_o word_n in_o the_o gospel_n to_o be_v a_o mediator_n between_o god_n and_o mankind_n so_o my_o soul_n make_v after_o he_o and_o close_v with_o he_o and_o what_o can_v the_o devil_n say_v to_o this_o for_o my_o heart_n do_v close_o with_o christ_n in_o the_o way_n that_o christ_n be_v tender_v unto_o i_o in_o the_o gospel_n for_o so_o he_o be_v tender_v god_n himself_o say_v thus_o god_n so_o love_v the_o world_n that_o he_o send_v forth_o his_o only_a beget_v son_n that_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o he_o shall_v not_o perish_v but_o have_v everlasting_a life_n thus_o god_n set_v forth_o his_o son_n as_o if_o god_n shall_v say_v thus_o be_v it_o know_v unto_o you_o o_o poor_a wretched_a sinful_a creature_n that_o be_v in_o danger_n of_o eternal_a perish_v that_o i_o have_v send_v forth_o my_o only_a beget_v son_n into_o the_o world_n and_o tender_v he_o unto_o your_o soul_n to_o the_o end_n that_o your_o soul_n may_v not_o perish_v but_o have_v everlasting_a life_n thus_o god_n tender_v his_o son_n now_o then_o when_o a_o soul_n shall_v be_v make_v sensible_a of_o the_o danger_n of_o eternal_a perish_v and_o the_o lord_n shall_v make_v it_o appear_v to_o the_o soul_n what_o the_o excellency_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o eternal_a life_n be_v and_o the_o soul_n shall_v come_v to_o see_v that_o the_o be_v deliver_v from_o perish_v and_o the_o obtain_n of_o eternal_a life_n be_v only_o to_o be_v have_v in_o christ_n and_o upon_o this_o do_v close_o with_o jesus_n christ_n and_o cast_v itself_o upon_o he_o and_o adventure_v itself_o to_o lay_v the_o weight_n of_o its_o eternal_a estate_n upon_o christ_n the_o soul_n that_o do_v thus_o receive_v christ_n according_a as_o he_o be_v tender_v in_o the_o word_n whatever_o objection_n may_v be_v to_o the_o contrary_a this_o be_v to_o receive_v christ_n according_a as_o he_o be_v tender_v in_o the_o word_n yet_o further_o for_o the_o help_a against_o this_o temptation_n it_o fall_v full_a in_o this_o text_n come_v unto_o i_o and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_n now_o many_o poor_a soul_n do_v come_v to_o christ_n that_o they_o may_v have_v rest_n but_o then_o the_o devil_n put_v this_o in_o oh_o but_o you_o come_v to_o christ_n for_o your_o own_o good_a now_o for_o the_o help_a against_o this_o temptation_n know_v 1._o that_o the_o lord_n at_o the_o first_o conversion_n do_v ordinary_o make_v use_n of_o the_o creature_n self-love_n but_o it_o be_v of_o self-love_n for_o eternity_n and_o that_o be_v a_o high_a degree_n of_o self-love_n than_o the_o most_o people_n in_o the_o world_n do_v attain_v unto_o some_o people_n in_o the_o world_n they_o love_v themselves_o only_o for_o this_o present_a life_n but_o when_o god_n make_v a_o man_n or_o woman_n to_o love_v himself_o for_o eternity_n it_o be_v a_o good_a sign_n that_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n be_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o
have_v be_v at_o liberty_n so_o as_o they_o have_v be_v as_o conscientious_a in_o perform_v of_o duty_n as_o before_o but_o now_o their_o duty_n be_v make_v the_o joy_n and_o delight_n of_o their_o soul_n they_o have_v go_v to_o they_o with_o rejoice_v and_o make_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n to_o be_v their_o inheritance_n and_o the_o joy_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o their_o duty_n be_v as_o sweet_a to_o they_o as_o the_o honey_n and_o the_o honey_n comb_n now_o this_o be_v the_o argument_n that_o we_o be_v upon_o that_o in_o christ_n there_o be_v rest_n from_o this_o burden_n christ_n give_v ability_n unto_o believer_n those_o that_o be_v his_o member_n to_o perform_v duty_n with_o freedom_n of_o spirit_n and_o indeed_o evangelical_a duty_n be_v duty_n perform_v with_o freedom_n that_o be_v the_o difference_n between_o legal_a performance_n and_o evangelical_a one_o be_v do_v as_o a_o burden_n and_o the_o other_o be_v do_v with_o freedom_n of_o spirit_n now_o i_o shall_v show_v unto_o you_o how_o christ_n give_v this_o freedom_n where_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v there_o be_v liberty_n you_o know_v the_o scripture_n i_o suppose_v now_o this_o freedom_n of_o spirit_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o duty_n come_v by_o christ_n these_o way_n first_o when_o the_o soul_n be_v come_v to_o christ_n it_o have_v rest_n because_o christ_n render_v god_n unto_o the_o soul_n in_o a_o gracious_a way_n christ_n take_v off_o the_o terror_n that_o be_v before_o of_o god_n take_v off_o that_o from_o the_o heart_n the_o reason_n why_o duty_n be_v perform_v as_o a_o burden_n to_o those_o that_o be_v legal_a be_v this_o because_o they_o tender_v they_o up_o to_o god_n but_o so_o as_o they_o look_v upon_o god_n as_o a_o terrible_a judge_n they_o must_v do_v what_o god_n require_v i_o but_o when_o they_o come_v into_o his_o presence_n they_o come_v into_o his_o presence_n as_o a_o judge_n be_v very_o terrible_a now_o when_o the_o soul_n come_v to_o christ_n christ_n render_v god_n very_o amiable_a and_o loâ—ely_o unto_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o christian_a render_v god_n the_o father_n as_o his_o father_n or_o her_o father_n for_o so_o christ_n say_v i_o go_v to_o my_o father_n and_o your_o father_n to_o look_v upon_o god_n not_o only_o as_o a_o father_n but_o our_o father_n as_o be_v the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n so_o believer_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o duty_n look_v upon_o god_n as_o a_o father_n in_o a_o double_a relation_n he_o be_v my_o father_n he_o have_v beget_v i_o a_o new_a to_o himself_o and_o so_o he_o be_v my_o father_n he_o be_v my_o father_n he_o have_v adopt_v i_o to_o be_v his_o child_n but_o he_o be_v the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n too_o and_o christ_n be_v i_o two_o so_o that_o i_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o the_o fatherhood_n as_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v as_o the_o father_n of_o christ_n i_o go_v to_o my_o father_n and_o your_o father_n so_o when_o believer_n come_v to_o tender_v up_o any_o service_n to_o god_n as_o a_o duty_n they_o come_v to_o god_n as_o their_o father_n and_o as_o to_o the_o father_n of_o their_o redeemer_n too_o now_o this_o bring_v a_o mighty_a deal_n of_o ease_n unto_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o believer_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o duty_n a_o great_a deal_n of_o difference_n there_o be_v between_o a_o father_n call_v the_o child_n to_o he_o and_o a_o rigid_a severe_a master_n or_o judge_v call_v of_o one_o to_o he_o when_o the_o child_n hear_v that_o his_o father_n call_v he_o he_o run_v and_o love_v to_o be_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o father_n but_o when_o one_o say_v to_o a_o servant_n your_o master_n call_v you_o he_o know_v not_o whether_o he_o be_v call_v to_o be_v beat_v with_o stripe_n or_o no._n this_o be_v the_o difference_n between_o legal_a performance_n and_o evangelical_a those_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n when_o christ_n call_v they_o to_o duty_n you_o must_v go_v into_o the_o presence_n of_o your_o father_n and_o of_o the_o father_n of_o your_o bless_a redeemer_n you_o must_v go_v to_o duty_n in_o he_o come_v go_v to_o prayer_n say_v conscience_n to_o one_o they_o can_v but_o go_v indeed_o but_o receive_v now_o duty_n be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o easy_o do_v this_o way_n then_o another_o it_o be_v true_a they_o will_v gather_v argument_n from_o their_o former_a neglect_n to_o stir_v they_o up_o to_o do_v the_o more_o i_o but_o now_o they_o be_v not_o call_v upon_o to_o their_o duty_n to_o make_v god_n amends_o and_o satisfy_v for_o what_o be_v pass_v for_o that_o will_v be_v a_o burden_n for_o such_o as_o perform_v duty_n in_o a_o legal_a way_n and_o be_v not_o acquaint_v with_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o satisfy_v god_n but_o only_o by_o do_v so_o much_o the_o more_o by_o how_o much_o the_o more_o they_o have_v neglect_v heretofore_o i_o have_v neglect_v god_n all_o the_o time_n of_o my_o youth_n and_o now_o conscience_n begin_v to_o be_v awake_v and_o tell_v i_o i_o must_v serve_v god_n and_o perform_v duty_n and_o i_o have_v need_n be_v more_o diligent_a now_o that_o i_o may_v make_v up_o and_o satisfy_v for_o what_o i_o that_o whatsoever_o he_o get_v must_v go_v to_o satisfy_v what_o he_o have_v run_v into_o before_o but_o now_o take_v another_o man_n that_o have_v run_v into_o arrearage_n and_o have_v a_o friend_n a_o kinsman_n that_o come_v and_o lay_v down_o all_o the_o debt_n that_o he_o owe_v and_o give_v he_o a_o stock_n &_o say_v now_o you_o be_v a_o freeman_n once_o again_o go_v on_o &_o whatever_o you_o have_v run_v into_o with_o god_n and_o whatever_o he_o can_v do_v for_o time_n to_o come_v be_v too_o little_a to_o satisfy_v for_o what_o he_o have_v neglect_v before_o now_o conscience_n put_v he_o upon_o it_o do_v he_o must_v serve_v he_o must_v obey_v he_o must_v i_o but_o he_o do_v it_o with_o no_o heart_n at_o all_o i_o work_v and_o i_o obey_v &_o i_o do_v but_o whether_o this_o will_v make_v up_o the_o arrearage_n for_o what_o be_v past_a i_o do_v not_o know_v now_o a_o believer_n perform_v obedience_n but_o it_o be_v upon_o other_o term_n christ_n come_v and_o lay_v down_o a_o price_n and_o discharge_v he_o of_o all_o former_a arrearage_n and_o put_v a_o stock_n of_o grace_n into_o the_o heart_n and_o say_v unto_o he_o now_o live_v and_o employ_v this_o your_o stock_n in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o trade_n with_o it_o get_v more_o comfort_n and_o more_o grace_n with_o it_o and_o you_o shall_v have_v the_o benefit_n and_o the_o good_a of_o every_o holy_a duty_n that_o you_o perform_v the_o good_a and_o benefit_n shall_v come_v to_o your_o soul_n now_o such_o a_o soul_n go_v unto_o duty_n in_o a_o cheerful_a way_n and_o they_o be_v no_o burden_n at_o all_o
