by_o this_o form_n you_o be_v straighten_a in_o your_o own_o bowel_n it_o may_v 12._o be_v your_o heart_n be_v stupid_a at_o the_o read_n of_o the_o scripture_n must_v that_o ordinance_n therefore_o cease_v mr._n ball_n tell_v we_o of_o one_o smith_n that_o will_v cast_v read_v of_o scripture_n out_o of_o the_o assembly_n because_o in_o his_o opinion_n it_o quench_v the_o spirit_n but_o in_o this_o no_o doubtless_o but_o as_o we_o may_v be_v edify_v by_o psalm_n and_o hymn_n and_o spiritual_a song_n bring_v into_o form_n by_o man_n so_o much_o more_o by_o the_o use_n of_o this_o form_n compose_v and_o enjoin_v by_o the_o son_n of_o god_n i_o shall_v rather_o therefore_o think_v that_o the_o heart_n of_o those_o that_o have_v be_v dull_a or_o disaffect_v under_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o minister_n shall_v be_v quicken_v and_o elevate_v by_o this_o as_o the_o droop_a disciple_n go_v to_o emaus_n while_o christ_n be_v speak_v to_o they_o their_o 2_o heart_n burn_v and_o so_o say_v this_o prayer_n 9_o they_o can_v call_v god_n father_n nor_o pray_v for_o forgiveness_n on_o that_o hard_a condition_n for_o such_o our_o saviour_n make_v it_o of_o be_v forgive_v as_o they_o which_o the_o doctor_n add_v viz._n that_o god_n call_v they_o to_o fervent_a supplication_n as_o he_o shall_v enable_v they_o to_o deal_v with_o he_o do_v not_o overthrow_n but_o rather_o confirm_v the_o substance_n direct_v to_o by_o this_o prayer_n of_o our_o saviour_n yet_o we_o do_v not_o find_v that_o ever_o they_o repeat_v the_o very_a word_n here_o mention_v or_o once_o command_v or_o prescribe_v the_o use_n of_o they_o to_o any_o of_o the_o saint_n in_o their_o day_n who_o they_o exhort_v to_o pray_v so_o fervent_o and_o earnest_o reply_n this_o argument_n conclude_v nothing_o be_v mere_o negative_a and_o it_o will_v certain_o brand_v the_o apostle_n with_o a_o note_n of_o disobedience_n as_o well_o for_o not_o observe_v the_o head_n and_o matter_n of_o this_o prayer_n as_o for_o omit_v the_o form_n for_o we_o do_v not_o hear_v or_o read_v of_o any_o public_a or_o solemn_a prayer_n of_o they_o wherein_o the_o matter_n and_o method_n be_v full_o observe_v may_v we_o undeniable_a chenmitius_n and_o what_o word_n can_v lay_v better_o claim_v to_o this_o privilege_n than_o christ_n own_o if_o the_o vary_a of_o the_o matter_n of_o this_o prayer_n into_o expression_n of_o our_o own_o be_v to_o worship_n god_n then_o much_o more_o to_o present_v the_o same_o matter_n in_o christ_n word_n for_o our_o alteration_n of_o the_o word_n may_v invert_v the_o method_n and_o change_v the_o sense_n and_o certain_o the_o use_n of_o these_o very_a word_n other_o requisite_n in_o prayer_n be_v adjoin_v be_v as_o solemn_a and_o acceptable_a a_o service_n as_o any_o we_o can_v do_v god_n and_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ._n idem_fw-la when_o god_n bid_v the_o people_n hos._n 14._o 2._o to_o take_v with_o they_o word_n and_o the_o priest_n in_o joel_n 2._o 17._o to_o
