man_n of_o his_o liberty_n but_o in_o this_o our_o age_n when_o almost_o all_o go_v as_o far_o as_o they_o may_v and_o the_o most_o part_n both_o of_o man_n and_o woman_n a_o great_a deal_n beyond_o their_o compass_n where_o be_v this_o temperance_n and_o sobriety_n which_o be_v so_o high_o commend_v in_o the_o scripture_n the_o very_a wall_n of_o pure_a life_n and_o bar_n of_o chaste_a witness_v in_o the_o same_o place_n &_o therefore_o may_v not_o have_v her_o life_n make_v by_o contempt_n or_o outrageous_a deal_n so_o bitter_a and_o grievous_a as_o it_o may_v rather_o be_v call_v a_o curse_n than_o a_o grace_n and_o merciful_a gift_n of_o god._n but_o the_o chief_a cause_n which_o shall_v move_v a_o christian_n most_o be_v leave_v their_o prayer_n and_o service_n of_o god_n they_o self_n to_o the_o ornament_n prescribe_v by_o he_o not_o fear_v contempt_n but_o assure_o believe_v that_o in_o that_o his_o way_n he_o both_o can_v and_o will_v give_v favour_n unto_o they_o in_o the_o eye_n of_o their_o husband_n it_o be_v worthy_a the_o note_n that_o he_o make_v it_o the_o attire_n of_o they_o that_o trust_v in_o god_n for_o therein_o he_o plain_o give_v forth_o that_o the_o outward_a vain_a set_v out_o of_o themselves_o savour_v of_o mistrust_n and_o fear_n of_o contempt_n whatsoever_o be_v pretend_v and_o that_o if_o they_o trust_v in_o god_n they_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o fear_v that_o their_o meekness_n and_o quietness_n can_v bring_v any_o contempt_n with_o it_o but_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v reward_v with_o like_v from_o the_o lord_n it_o be_v also_o require_v that_o they_o be_v reverent_o subject_a unto_o their_o husband_n in_o all_o thing_n as_o be_v sarai_n who_o use_v such_o speech_n of_o reverence_n call_v he_o sir_n as_o do_v witness_n of_o the_o heart_n that_o it_o do_v honour_v he_o which_o if_o it_o be_v refuse_v neither_o be_v that_o benefit_n grant_v unto_o their_o weakness_n of_o a_o head_n and_o guide_v acknowledge_v which_o be_v great_a unthankfulness_n both_o unto_o god_n and_o to_o their_o husband_n neither_o yet_o that_o government_n obey_v which_o the_o lord_n have_v put_v they_o under_o which_o be_v intolerable_a disobedience_n the_o place_n therefore_o that_o they_o be_v in_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v with_o all_o humility_n and_o the_o duty_n lay_v upon_o they_o by_o the_o lord_n perform_v that_o there_o may_v be_v continuance_n of_o their_o godly_a and_o chaste_a love_n thus_o no_o occasion_n must_v be_v give_v unto_o sathan_n by_o either_o of_o they_o through_o alienation_n of_o mind_n and_o breach_n of_o love_n in_o not_o perform_v their_o several_a duty_n to_o make_v any_o way_n or_o passage_n to_o the_o ungodly_a and_o unchaste_a like_n or_o use_v of_o any_o other_o young_a man_n shall_v then_o give_v themselves_o to_o the_o duty_n of_o this_o commandment_n when_o they_o shall_v have_v learned_a sobriety_n &_o temperance_n a_o gift_n that_o bridle_v their_o affection_n in_o pleasure_n as_o eat_v drink_v and_o vain_a set_v forth_o of_o themselves_o in_o apparel_n not_o suffer_v they_o to_o have_v all_o that_o they_o require_v herein_o but_o cut_v they_o short_a of_o that_o they_o will_v yea_o of_o some_o part_n and_o of_o that_o also_o which_o honest_o they_o may_v have_v always_o be_v short_a rather_o than_o in_o any_o respect_n beyond_o that_o the_o be_v convenient_a for_o man_n of_o their_o degree_n so_o that_o they_o need_v not_o to_o fear_v the_o judgement_n of_o any_o indifferent_a man_n be_v always_o a_o good_a deal_n within_o the_o compass_n of_o their_o state_n and_o calling_n but_o never_o without_o give_v forth_o testimony_n by_o that_o mean_n to_o all_o man_n of_o their_o modest_a temperate_a and_o sober_a mind_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n call_v the_o ornament_n of_o young_a man_n and_o the_o apostle_n paul_n warn_v titus_n to_o exhort_v they_o unto_o this_o gift_n and_o grace_n of_o young_a year_n 2.6_o a_o very_a profitable_a means_n to_o drive_v away_o unchaste_a conversation_n woman_n also_o be_v exhort_v unto_o this_o temperance_n and_o sobriety_n and_o unto_o modesty_n and_o shamefastness_n which_o be_v the_o root_n towards_o he_o force_v he_o to_o mislike_v of_o all_o annoyance_n and_o wrong_n that_o happen_v unto_o he_o and_o because_o of_o this_o he_o can_v not_o but_o with_o grief_n hear_v of_o any_o wrong_n or_o hard_a measure_n offer_v unto_o he_o so_o far_o be_v he_o himself_o from_o deal_v evil_a or_o hardly_o with_o he_o love_n rejoice_v not_o in_o iniquity_n but_o it_o rejoice_v or_o joy_v from_o man_n love_n so_o lace_v itself_o in_o the_o commendable_a do_n of_o he_o who_o it_o love_v and_o the_o man_n that_o love_v take_v pleasure_n in_o the_o well_o do_v of_o he_o who_o he_o love_v therefore_o if_o there_o be_v true_a love_n in_o we_o we_o must_v not_o only_o not_o envy_v the_o good_a do_n of_o our_o brethren_n but_o we_o must_v acquaint_v our_o heart_n to_o joy_n with_o they_o in_o their_o good_a do_v and_o good_a report_n for_o the_o same_o it_o be_v a_o good_a degree_n of_o profit_v to_o have_v drive_v away_o envy_n but_o we_o must_v proceed_v further_a to_o joy_n with_o to_o this_o to_o joy_v in_o heart_n at_o their_o upright_a deal_n that_o their_o good_a deal_n shall_v be_v the_o comfort_n of_o our_o heart_n we_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o deny_v they_o any_o help_n that_o be_v in_o we_o of_o counsel_n or_o admonition_n that_o may_v either_o encourage_v they_o to_o good_a or_o withdraw_v they_o from_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a nay_o we_o shall_v be_v therein_o as_o for_o that_o lightness_n in_o believe_v that_o come_v for_o want_v of_o wit_n and_o judgement_n it_o be_v easy_o discern_v from_o that_o which_o proceed_v of_o charity_n and_o love_n when_o we_o shall_v have_v try_v true_o our_o deal_n toward_o god_n our_o deal_n towards_o our_o neighbour_n and_o our_o deal_n in_o our_o several_a calling_n by_o these_o affection_n which_o be_v report_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o be_v in_o love_n it_o will_v appear_v that_o to_o be_v a_o christian_n be_v a_o rare_a matter_n a_o mighty_a rare_a and_o especial_a work_n of_o god_n now_o let_v we_o pray_v etc_n etc_n the_o xiij_o lecture_n upon_o the_o three_o chapter_n to_o the_o galatian_n and_o three_o verse_n for_o as_o many_o as_o be_v of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v under_o the_o curse_n for_o it_o be_v write_v curse_a be_v every_o man_n that_o continue_v not_o in_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n to_o do_v they_o have_v law_n curse_v none_o but_o such_o as_o continue_v not_o in_o the_o fulfil_n of_o all_o thing_n in_o it_o but_o the_o holy_a ghost_n take_v that_o as_o grant_v of_o all_o man_n that_o there_o be_v no_o man_n that_o continue_v in_o all_o thing_n that_o be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n to_o do_v they_o and_o therefore_o think_v that_o he_o have_v sufficient_o prove_v that_o which_o he_o affirm_v that_o all_o man_n who_o lie_v claim_v to_o righteousness_n by_o the_o work_v of_o the_o law_n be_v accurse_v the_o apostle_n affirm_v every_o man_n to_o be_v accurse_v that_o seek_v for_o righteousness_n from_o the_o law_n because_o the_o law_n deal_v so_o strict_o and_o hardly_o with_o man_n that_o it_o curse_v every_o man_n who_o continue_v not_o in_o do_v all_o the_o thing_n command_v in_o it_o which_o the_o apostle_n take_v to_o be_v impossible_a and_o thereupon_o be_v bold_a to_o affirm_v all_o man_n to_o lie_v under_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n for_o not_o have_v
