qualification_n a_o infant_n a_o idiot_n one_o distract_v or_o distemper_v with_o frenzy_n etc._n etc._n such_o can_v enjoy_v all_o privilege_n in_o the_o family_n or_o civil_a state_n as_o other_o may_z and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o they_o be_v not_o fit_o qualify_v but_o who_o can_v say_v they_o be_v not_o complete_a and_o proper_a and_o immediate_a member_n of_o the_o family_n or_o state_n as_o well_o as_o other_o he_o that_o do_v injury_n to_o such_o a_o one_o do_v injury_n to_o one_o that_o be_v as_o true_o and_o proper_o a_o member_n of_o the_o society_n as_o those_o that_o be_v better_o qualify_v and_o such_o injury_n be_v punishable_a with_o death_n or_o otherwise_o as_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o offence_n do_v require_v as_o be_v injury_n to_o one_o that_o be_v true_o and_o proper_o a_o personal_a and_o immediate_a subject_n and_o member_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n though_o there_o may_v be_v many_o other_o subject_n better_o qualify_v in_o like_a sort_n in_o church-society_n some_o may_v enjoy_v more_o full_a communion_n than_o other_o and_o yet_o not_o as_o be_v more_o true_o partaker_n of_o proper_a personal_a and_o immediate_a membership_n but_o because_o they_o be_v better_o qualify_v thus_o of_o the_o second_o particular_a that_o the_o parent_n in_o question_n be_v immediate_a member_n the_o three_o be_v that_o their_o membership_n still_o continue_v in_o adult_n age_n and_o cease_v not_o with_o their_o infancy_n 1._o because_o in_o scripture_n person_n be_v break_v off_o only_o for_o notorious_a sin_n or_o incorrigible_a in_o will_v not_o follow_v that_o at_o every_o time_n of_o sacrifice_v there_o be_v a_o enter_v into_o a_o new_a membership_n it_o may_v suffice_v to_o say_v as_o the_o synod_n do_v that_o at_o all_o such_o time_n there_o be_v a_o progress_n in_o memberly_n duty_n but_o why_o shall_v we_o think_v that_o the_o covenant_n in_o deut._n 26._o be_v enter_v into_o a_o new_a membership_n the_o reason_n render_v be_v this_o because_o they_o enter_v into_o the_o covenant_n personal_o and_o immediate_o not_o in_o and_o by_o their_o parent_n as_o they_o do_v in_o infancy_n gen._n 17.7_o and_o if_o do_v may_v be_v various_a moreover_o covenant_v take_v for_o our_o act_n in_o make_v or_o renew_v the_o covenant_n be_v not_o the_o form_n of_o membership_n this_o be_v but_o the_o instrumental_a efficient_a but_o covenant-interest_n or_o to_o be_v in_o covenant_n be_v the_o formalis_fw-la ratio_fw-la of_o membership_n that_o be_v it_o which_o the_o synod_n affirm_v pag._n 24._o and_o that_o
