the_o answer_n of_o their_o prayer_n yet_o they_o be_v all_o without_o ground_n and_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a their_o desire_n will_v be_v grant_v therefore_o do_v he_o again_o repeat_v the_o amplify_a the_o former_a doctrine_n he_o lead_v they_o from_o inquire_v about_o other_o to_o see_v to_o themselves_o and_o from_o study_v the_o secret_a counsel_n of_o god_n and_o cause_n of_o his_o dispensation_n to_o study_v the_o mean_n that_o god_n have_v appoint_v for_o attain_v communion_n with_o himself_o and_o to_o abhor_v the_o contrary_a evil_n because_o of_o the_o sinfulness_n thereof_o and_o because_o they_o will_v deprive_v they_o of_o so_o great_a a_o mercy_n from_o v._o 23._o learn_v 1._o albeit_o christ_n be_v very_o tender_a of_o his_o people_n yet_o he_o will_v not_o love_n for_o he_o prove_v that_o he_o have_v love_v they_o in_o that_o he_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n 7._o christ_n love_n in_o die_v for_o his_o people_n do_v shine_v in_o this_o that_o although_o they_o be_v enemy_n in_o themselves_o yet_o he_o have_v a_o friendly_a respect_n to_o they_o and_o do_v follow_v they_o till_o he_o draw_v they_o into_o a_o covenant_n of_o friendship_n for_o this_o do_v commend_v his_o love_n that_o he_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o they_o as_o friend_n though_o they_o be_v enemy_n 8._o christ_n love_n to_o his_o people_n be_v the_o most_o matchless_a of_o love_n and_o essay_n who_o we_o will_v none_o will_v bid_v so_o much_o for_o we_o or_o our_o love_n as_o he_o therefore_o do_v he_o commend_v it_o as_o singular_a great_a love_n have_v no_o man_n this_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o he_o call_v they_o friend_n which_o be_v true_a of_o all_o believer_n in_o their_o measure_n as_o of_o the_o apostle_n in_o they_o for_o all_o thing_n that_o i_o have_v appoint_v they_o to_o endeavour_v fruitfulness_n in_o the_o use_n of_o mean_n but_o that_o he_o have_v appoint_v fruitfulness_n to_o follow_v upon_o their_o endeavour_n see_v eph._n 2_o 10._o act_n 13.48_o 8._o the_o fruit_n of_o a_o man_n carriage_n and_o call_v which_o christ_n approve_v of_o must_v be_v real_a and_o solid_a not_o empty_a and_o evanish_v for_o it_o be_v fruit_n that_o may_v remain_v 9_o the_o solid_a fruit_n which_o believer_n and_o minister_n bring_v forth_o shall_v not_o be_v lose_v but_o they_o will_v remain_v to_o god_n glory_n and_o their_o own_o good_a nourish_v and_o confirm_v their_o faith_n and_o hope_n and_o confirm_v minister_n in_o their_o call_n that_o they_o be_v approven_v of_o god_n in_o it_o for_o thus_o also_o their_o fruit_n remain_v in_o its_o use_n and_o effect_n 10._o whosoever_o be_v faithful_o study_v to_o be_v fruitful_a in_o their_o call_n and_o particular_o honest_a minister_n will_v find_v many_o humble_v want_n in_o themselves_o for_o carry_v through_o in_o it_o as_o become_v therefore_o it_o be_v subjoin_v to_o the_o former_a that_o they_o will_v be_v put_v to_o need_v prayer_n 11._o such_o as_o true_o discern_v their_o own_o inability_n and_o want_n will_v find_v no_o help_n for_o they_o but_o by_o prayer_n to_o god_n nor_o any_o access_n to_o god_n in_o prayer_n but_o through_o christ_n for_o they_o will_v depend_v on_o the_o former_a that_o your_o fruit_n shall_v remain_v that_o whatsoever_o you_o shall_v ask_v etc._n etc._n he_o may_v give_v it_o where_o fruitfulness_n be_v commend_v as_o the_o way_n to_o come_v speed_n and_o yet_o no_o merit_n to_o be_v place_v in_o it_o but_o the_o supplication_n put_v up_o in_o christ_n name_n verse_n 17._o these_o thing_n i_o command_v you_o that_o you_o love_v one_o another_o christ_n have_v thus_o commend_v his_o love_n to_o they_o as_o the_o pattern_n and_o motive_n of_o their_o duty_n he_o do_v repeat_v and_o resume_v the_o former_a exhortation_n v._o 12._o and_o press_v it_o over_o again_o by_o way_n of_o conclusion_n from_o the_o former_a ground_n whence_o learn_v 1._o mutual_a love_n be_v a_o duty_n of_o great_a importance_n and_o very_o excellent_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n therefore_o do_v christ_n so_o oft_o repeat_v and_o inculcate_v it_o 2._o our_o heart_n by_o nature_n be_v very_o dull_a in_o take_v up_o our_o duty_n and_o of_o encouragement_n take_v from_o his_o own_o example_n and_o lot_n so_o assure_v they_o that_o in_o their_o suffering_n they_o have_v fellowship_n with_o he_o who_o be_v hate_v of_o the_o world_n before_o they_o whence_o learn_v 1._o as_o believer_n may_v look_v for_o love_n from_o christ_n and_o saint_n so_o they_o must_v expect_v trouble_n and_o hatred_n from_o the_o world_n for_o unto_o the_o former_a doctrine_n concern_v christ_n love_n and_o their_o duty_n to_o love_v one_o another_o it_o be_v subjoin_v that_o the_o world_n will_v hate_v you_o 2._o the_o world_n hat_v of_o believer_n be_v a_o strong_a argument_n to_o persuade_v they_o to_o love_v one_o another_o for_o this_o be_v also_o subjoin_v as_o a_o argument_n to_o press_v mutual_a love_n that_o they_o be_v sure_a to_o meet_v with_o hatred_n from_o other_o and_o indeed_o when_o love_n decay_v god_n use_v to_o kindle_v it_o up_o by_o storm_n of_o persecution_n which_o cause_n saint_n to_o draw_v together_o 3._o christ_n be_v a_o faithful_a master_n who_o will_v hide_v from_o his_o servant_n nothing_o of_o their_o danger_n and_o difficulty_n and_o it_o may_v assure_v we_o of_o the_o reality_n of_o his_o encouragement_n that_o he_o give_v so_o free_a warning_n of_o danger_n therefore_o do_v he_o faithful_o warn_v they_o here_o 4._o persecution_n arise_v from_o man_n worldly_a disposition_n and_o they_o because_o of_o somewhat_o of_o he_o in_o they_o for_o say_v he_o it_o hate_v i_o before_o it_o hate_v you_o 9_o as_o it_o be_v a_o great_a encouragement_n in_o suffer_a time_n to_o know_v that_o believer_n before_o we_o have_v meet_v with_o the_o like_a lot_n mat._n 5.12_o so_o in_o particular_a christ_n go_v before_o we_o in_o endure_v the_o world_n hatred_n may_v exceed_o encourage_v sufferer_n heb._n 12.1_o 2_o 3._o for_o hereby_o not_o only_o be_v his_o great_a love_n commend_v who_o will_v offer_v himself_o to_o a_o ingrate_a world_n luke_n 23.34_o but_o it_o serve_v further_o to_o guard_v our_o heart_n against_o the_o calumny_n cast_v upon_o we_o in_o our_o suffering_n since_o he_o who_o be_v innocent_a and_o the_o lord_n of_o glory_n be_v persecute_v under_o the_o notion_n of_o a_o samaritane_n and_o what_o not_o to_o point_v out_o our_o dignity_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v make_v conform_v to_o our_o head_n be_v it_o but_o in_o suffer_v and_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v serve_v heir_n to_o that_o enmity_n that_o begin_v at_o he_o and_o which_o light_v on_o we_o for_o his_o sake_n to_o assure_v we_o of_o his_o sympathy_n in_o who_o quarrel_n we_o be_v embark_v and_o who_o drink_v of_o that_o cup_n himself_o to_o assure_v we_o how_o easy_a this_o suffering_n will_v be_v he_o have_v assay_v it_o before_o we_o as_o nothing_o will_v prove_v hard_a to_o a_o believer_n which_o christ_n have_v once_o taste_v of_o so_o that_o we_o need_v no_o more_o but_o to_o follow_v he_o to_o the_o spoil_n and_o to_o assure_v we_o of_o the_o victory_n since_o he_o have_v already_o triumph_v over_o the_o world_n hatred_n in_o our_o name_n so_o much_o be_v hold_v forth_o for_o the_o comfort_n of_o sufferer_n in_o this_o argument_n if_o the_o world_n hate_v you_o you_o know_v that_o it_o hate_v i_o before_o it_o hate_v you_o ver._n 19_o if_o you_o be_v of_o the_o world_n the_o world_n will_v love_v his_o own_o but_o because_o you_o be_v not_o of_o the_o world_n but_o i_o have_v choose_v you_o out_o of_o the_o world_n therefore_o the_o world_n hate_v you_o the_o second_o argument_n of_o consolation_n be_v take_v from_o what_o their_o suffering_n from_o the_o world_n may_v evidence_n unto_o they_o namely_o that_o they_o be_v not_o of_o the_o world_n but_o choose_v out_o of_o it_o and_o therefore_o the_o world_n hate_v they_o whereas_o if_o it_o be_v otherwise_o with_o they_o the_o world_n will_v love_v his_o own_o so_o the_o force_n of_o the_o argument_n be_v partly_o that_o they_o behove_v to_o make_v for_o trouble_n as_o be_v inevitable_a consider_v they_o be_v not_o of_o the_o world_n and_o partly_o their_o suffering_n from_o the_o world_n be_v so_o clear_a a_o evidence_n of_o their_o good_a condition_n that_o they_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v discourage_v at_o it_o what_o christ_n say_v that_o the_o world_n will_v love_v his_o own_o do_v not_o contradict_v the_o frequent_a experience_n of_o war_n contention_n and_o emulation_n among_o man_n of_o the_o world_n for_o 1._o if_o we_o compare_v the_o hatred_n they_o carry_v towards_o their_o own_o with_o what_o they_o have_v against_o the_o godly_a it_o be_v nothing_o so_o violent_a and_o extreme_a 2._o they_o dister_v not_o in_o contrary_a general_a principle_n and_o end_n but_o only_o in_o contrary_a lust_n and_o when_o the_o interest_n of_o one_o interfere_n with_o opposition_n to_o his_o present_a way_n of_o teach_v and_o that_o he_o will_v not_o speak_v to_o they_o in_o proverb_n or_o parable_n as_o former_o but_o will_v full_o and_o plain_o reveal_v the_o father_n to_o they_o as_o for_o these_o thing_n which_o christ_n say_v he_o speak_v in_o proverb_n they_o be_v not_o to_o be_v restrict_v to_o the_o immediate_o precede_v purpose_n in_o this_o chapter_n but_o shall_v be_v more_o general_o extend_v to_o the_o most_o part_n of_o his_o doctrine_n hitherto_o particular_o in_o this_o last_o sermon_n much_o whereof_o they_o do_v not_o understand_v as_o appear_v in_o their_o frequent_a objection_n reason_n and_o question_n he_o say_v he_o have_v speak_v these_o thing_n in_o proverb_n or_o parable_n whereby_o we_o be_v not_o to_o understand_v any_o dark_a or_o aenigmatick_a speech_n as_o if_o his_o doctrine_n have_v be_v obscure_a in_o itself_o for_o his_o doctrine_n be_v plain_a in_o itself_o and_o what_o he_o speak_v dark_o as_o obscure_a as_o if_o it_o have_v be_v all_o parable_n and_o so_o appear_v from_o five_o 16_o 17_o etc._n etc._n but_o after_o the_o spirit_n come_v he_o be_v to_o speak_v plain_o and_o full_o even_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o conception_n and_o understanding_n partly_o that_o christ_n in_o regard_n of_o their_o weakness_n and_o incapacity_n have_v but_o brief_o touch_v many_o thing_n which_o will_v be_v but_o dark_a to_o they_o till_o the_o spirit_n shall_v come_v as_o v._o 12_o 13._o and_o have_v often_o make_v use_n of_o similitude_n and_o parable_n in_o this_o sermon_n and_o at_o other_o time_n whereby_o albeit_o he_o condescend_v to_o their_o capacity_n yet_o as_o he_o say_v chap_n 3.12_o he_o speak_v but_o earthly_a thing_n and_o not_o heavenly_a that_o be_v point_v out_o heavenly_a thing_n by_o earthly_a resemblance_n which_o do_v eclipse_n much_o of_o the_o lustre_n these_o truth_n shall_v have_v when_o he_o shall_v teach_v they_o plain_o by_o his_o spirit_n they_o with_o the_o father_n as_o with_o a_o enemy_n or_o one_o unwilling_a to_o accept_v of_o they_o be_v now_o reconcile_v but_o that_o the_o father_n do_v love_v they_o and_o out_o of_o his_o to_o prevent_v such_o exorbitancy_n will_v give_v ground_n of_o peace_n and_o comfort_n for_o say_v he_o you_o yourselves_o bear_v i_o witness_v that_o i_o say_v i_o be_o not_o the_o christ_n 5._o this_o be_v john_n office_n and_o high_a honour_n i_o be_o not_o the_o christ_n but_o be_o send_v before_o he_o verse_n 29._o he_o that_o have_v the_o bride_n be_v the_o bridegroom_n but_o the_o friend_n of_o the_o bridegroom_n which_o stand_v and_o hear_v he_o rejoice_v great_o because_o of_o the_o bridegroom_n voice_n this_o my_o joy_n therefore_o be_v fulfil_v john_n proceed_v to_o a_o but_o because_o however_o christ_n affection_n respect_v rather_o his_o people_n profit_n then_o their_o humour_n yet_o it_o be_v still_o fresh_a and_o tender_a towards_o they_o as_o of_o person_n new_o marry_v or_o in_o term_n of_o it_o 3._o albeit_o minister_n do_v not_o usurp_v christ_n place_n yet_o their_o office_n be_v faithful_a in_o their_o duty_n afford_v they_o abundant_a honour_n under_o the_o name_n of_o the_o friend_n of_o the_o bridegroom_n a_o office_n which_o be_v usual_a in_o those_o time_n in_o the_o solemnity_n of_o marriage_n wherein_o be_v hold_v forth_o 1._o it_o christ_n will_v be_v honour_v by_o their_o attendance_n and_o commend_v and_o appear_v for_o he_o and_o by_o their_o invite_v the_o bride_n to_o embrace_v he_o and_o be_v instrumental_a to_o bring_v they_o together_o such_o be_v the_o friend_n of_o the_o bridegroom_n his_o most_o especial_a and_o intimate_a friend_n 3._o it_o be_v also_o their_o duty_n to_o do_v he_o honour_n by_o wait_v on_o he_o as_o servant_n to_o receive_v his_o direction_n &_o get_v commission_n to_o deliver_v from_o he_o &_o it_o be_v their_o dignity_n to_o stand_v in_o so_o near_o a_o relation_n though_o of_o servant_n for_z so_o be_v import_v in_o that_o he_o stand_v as_o servant_n and_o friend_n near_o the_o bridegroom_n such_o service_n of_o he_o be_v great_a honour_n 4._o it_o be_v also_o their_o dignity_n to_o bring_v the_o bride_n to_o hear_v the_o bridegroom_n and_o it_o will_v be_v matter_n of_o their_o great_a joy_n to_o see_v the_o church_n bring_v to_o acquaintance_n with_o christ_n by_o their_o ministry_n for_o he_o stand_v and_o hear_v he_o and_o rejoice_v great_o because_o of_o the_o bridegroom_n voice_n as_o the_o friend_n of_o the_o bridegroom_n stand_v in_o the_o bride_n chamber_n and_o see_v the_o party_n bring_v together_o by_o his_o mean_n and_o himself_o admit_v to_o be_v a_o witness_n of_o the_o fruit_n of_o his_o pain_n this_o dignity_n faithful_a minister_n may_v attain_v in_o their_o own_o measure_n though_o john_n have_v it_o in_o a_o peculiar_a way_n even_o in_o that_o which_o his_o disciple_n quarrel_v to_o wit_n his_o see_v so_o many_o of_o his_o follower_n embrace_v the_o messiah_n in_o person_n who_o he_o have_v point_v out_o unto_o they_o doctrine_n 4._o faithful_n minister_n bless_v of_o god_n and_o deny_v themselves_o have_v more_o complete_a matter_n of_o joy_n in_o the_o church_n thrive_v though_o with_o their_o own_o abasement_n than_o
with_o multiplicity_n of_o question_n and_o to_o dash_v they_o with_o their_o own_o prejudged_a thought_n upon_o the_o matter_n therefore_o do_v they_o pose_v they_o with_o three_o question_n at_o once_o and_o do_v in_o their_o question_n insinuate_v what_o they_o be_v incline_v to_o believe_v you_o say_v he_o be_v bear_v blind_a but_o we_o do_v not_o credit_n it_o ver._n 20._o his_o parent_n the_o glory_n of_o the_o miracle_n to_o be_v obscure_v but_o remit_v they_o to_o the_o fit_a witness_n of_o it_o yet_o they_o sin_v heinous_o by_o deny_v their_o knowledge_n and_o by_o their_o ingratitude_n in_o not_o avow_v christ_n who_o have_v confer_v so_o notable_a a_o benefit_n upon_o they_o in_o the_o person_n of_o their_o son_n 3._o albeit_o man_n may_v hazard_v much_o for_o their_o mar_v his_o work_n and_o their_o own_o peace_n and_o expose_v his_o way_n to_o reproach_n and_o obloquy_n and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v fit_v to_o partake_v of_o the_o sweetness_n blessing_n and_o consolation_n which_o god_n have_v command_v upon_o his_o people_n in_o their_o be_v unite_v psal_n 133.1_o 2._o 3._o for_o these_o cause_n among_o other_o do_v christ_n in_o his_o absence_n enjoin_v case_n luke_n 5.6_o christ_n end_n in_o bid_v bring_v of_o the_o fish_n be_v not_o chief_o for_o their_o present_a eat_n see_v he_o have_v already_o provide_v for_o they_o v._o 9_o though_o it_o may_v be_v also_o he_o allow_v this_o that_o their_o taste_n of_o the_o fish_n as_o well_o as_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o multitude_n thereof_o may_v confirm_v and_o assure_v they_o it_o be_v a_o real_a miracle_n and_o the_o original_a word_n here_o render_v fish_n be_v not_o against_o that_o sense_n but_o his_o chief_a end_n be_v to_o feed_v their_o mind_n with_o a_o sight_n of_o the_o greatness_n and_o reality_n of_o the_o miracle_n before_o he_o feed_v their_o body_n for_o so_o much_o do_v their_o observation_n v._o 11._o point_n out_o to_o we_o and_o while_o this_o go_n up_o to_o wit_n into_o the_o ship_n that_o he_o may_v come_v at_o the_o net_n and_o draw_v the_o net_n to_o land_n be_v ascribe_v unto_o peter_n only_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v understand_v as_o if_o he_o alone_o do_v it_o but_o he_o only_o be_v mention_v because_o of_o his_o forwardness_n to_o give_v obedience_n as_o he_o have_v be_v former_o forward_a to_o come_v to_o christ_n doct._n 1._o christ_n will_v not_o be_v want_v to_o give_v evidence_n how_o well_o he_o approve_v of_o his_o people_n follow_v of_o a_o lawful_a call_n and_o that_o they_o have_v a_o care_n of_o their_o outward_a enjoyment_n in_o their_o own_o place_n for_o here_o his_o command_n justifi_v they_o who_o bring_v the_o net_n along_o with_o they_o v._o 8._o in_o that_o when_o all_o have_v leave_v it_o as_o well_o as_o peter_n he_o bid_v they_o bring_v of_o the_o fish_n and_o peter_n by_o his_o obedience_n to_o the_o command_n do_v also_o clear_a that_o he_o account_v it_o no_o cause_n of_o reproach_n that_o they_o leave_v it_o out_o former_o as_o he_o do_v 2._o christ_n be_v a_o great_a esteemer_n of_o people_n diligence_n and_o use_v of_o mean_n and_o of_o his_o goodness_n will_v ascribe_v all_o that_o he_o do_v for_o they_o to_o their_o diligence_n that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v encourage_v not_o to_o conceit_n of_o it_o but_o to_o continue_v in_o it_o for_o albeit_o he_o give_v they_o these_o fish_n by_o miracle_n yet_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o cast_v out_o the_o net_n and_o drag_v it_o to_o land_n he_o ascribe_v it_o all_o to_o they_o bring_v of_o the_o fish_n which_o you_o have_v now_o catch_v 3._o when_o disciple_n have_v see_v much_o of_o christ_n in_o his_o work_n they_o need_v yet_o a_o more_o particular_a observation_n thereof_o that_o they_o may_v see_v and_o consider_v his_o glory_n more_o distinct_o and_o they_o may_v be_v affect_v of_o new_a with_o it_o and_o it_o may_v take_v more_o deep_a impression_n in_o their_o mind_n therefore_o albeit_o they_o have_v see_v and_o know_v christ_n god_n the_o glory_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o word_n when_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o seal_v it_o with_o their_o blood_n and_o to_o stand_v to_o the_o defence_n thereof_o unto_o death_n the_o glory_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o riches_n of_o his_o promise_n and_o of_o eternal_a life_n hold_v out_o therein_o when_o they_o hazard_v on_o the_o enmity_n and_o opposition_n of_o all_o and_o on_o death_n itself_o in_o the_o faith_n and_o hope_v thereof_o and_o do_v look_v on_o eternal_a life_n as_o sufficient_a to_o compense_v all_o their_o loss_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o excellency_n and_o alsufficiency_n when_o they_o count_v all_o thing_n but_o vanity_n and_o loss_n that_o they_o may_v please_v he_o and_o so_o they_o proclaim_v their_o faith_n to_o be_v rich_o make_v up_o in_o follow_v christ_n in_o suffer_v when_o he_o shall_v be_v call_v to_o it_o and_o will_v have_v he_o begin_v to_o practice_v that_o lesson_n in_o time_n that_o he_o may_v be_v the_o more_o fit_a for_o it_o when_o it_o come_v to_o a_o push_n and_o so_o we_o will_v find_v it_o make_v use_n of_o v._o 20._o 13._o it_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o such_o as_o will_v either_o serve_v or_o suffer_v for_o christ_n to_o make_v he_o their_o pattern_n and_o copy_n in_o what_o be_v imitable_a and_o it_o be_v their_o encouragement_n and_o may_v sweeten_v their_o way_n that_o he_o have_v go_v before_o they_o therefore_o also_o bid_v he_o he_o follow_v i_o to_o point_v out_o not_o so_o much_o his_o duty_n of_o present_a go_v after_o he_o as_o thereby_o to_o signify_v his_o duty_n to_o imitate_v christ_n in_o all_o his_o action_n particular_o in_o his_o care_n of_o his_o sheep_n and_o resolution_n for_o suffer_v and_o to_o hold_v out_o this_o encouragement_n and_o how_o it_o may_v be_v sweet_a to_o follow_v he_o verse_n 20._o then_o peter_n turn_v about_o see_v the_o disciple_n who_o jesus_n love_v follow_v which_o also_o lean_v on_o his_o breast_n at_o supper_n and_o say_v lord_n which_o be_v therefore_o he_o can_v not_o stay_v behind_o 2._o the_o child_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v subject_a to_o many_o distraction_n and_o interruption_n in_o follow_v their_o christian_a coursse_n and_o do_v often_o look_v or_o turn_v aside_o and_o intermit_v their_o earnest_n eye_v of_o their_o mark_n and_o prize_n for_o when_o peter_n be_v bid_v follow_v christ_n at_o this_o time_n hereby_o to_o teach_v he_o close_o to_o follow_v his_o call_n and_o set_v his_o heart_n and_o eye_n upon_o it_o and_o what_o he_o be_v to_o meet_v with_o as_o the_o check_n and_o repetition_n of_o that_o command_n in_o this_o verse_n do_v teach_v we_o he_o turn_v about_o to_o look_v to_o somewhat_o behind_o he_o and_o that_o either_o mere_o of_o his_o own_o accord_n or_o because_o he_o have_v hear_v some_o noise_n of_o one_o follow_v see_v luke_n 9.62_o 3._o albeit_o the_o intermission_n of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n in_o their_o duty_n may_v seem_v very_o little_a and_o small_a yet_o ofttimes_o it_o cast_v they_o upon_o snare_n and_o tentation_n which_o be_v ready_a to_o catch_v and_o detain_v they_o more_o and_o so_o draw_v out_o reproof_n from_o christ_n for_o peter_z but_o turn_v about_o see_v the_o disciple_n who_o jesus_n love_v follow_v and_o this_o occasion_n his_o curious_a question_n and_o draw_v out_o a_o reproof_n not_o only_o for_o his_o look_v back_o but_o for_o his_o curiosity_n 4._o christ_n abhor_v curiosity_n in_o his_o people_n and_o that_o when_o they_o have_v so_o much_o needful_a exercise_n among_o their_o hand_n yet_o they_o shall_v meddle_v more_o with_o what_o concern_v they_o not_o so_o much_o for_o when_o peter_n propound_v this_o question_n and_o what_o shall_v this_o man_n do_v or_o and_o what_o this_o man_n that_o be_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o he_o as_o keep_v they_o long_o or_o short_a time_n in_o the_o world_n and_o give_v they_o ease_v or_o trouble_v as_o he_o please_v without_o give_v a_o account_n of_o his_o deal_n to_o any_o for_o say_v he_o
