and_o blood_n or_o make_v most_o for_o it_o and_o to_o compass_v they_o as_o need_n be_v by_o any_o method_n especial_o by_o craft_n and_o deceit_n so_o that_o then_o man_n converse_v by_o fleshly_a wisdom_n when_o they_o govern_v their_o conversation_n by_o fleshly_a consideration_n and_o worldly_a maxim_n and_o compâ—ss_v their_o end_n by_o unlawful_a and_o deceitful_a way_n and_o steer_v their_o course_n in_o every_o thing_n they_o do_v or_o meet_v withal_o in_o this_o world_n as_o may_v give_v they_o most_o and_o best_a enjoyment_n of_o worldly_a thing_n and_o this_o all_o they_o count_v wise_a who_o be_v fix_v to_o this_o world_n and_o look_v no_o further_o but_o this_o the_o bless_a apostle_n tell_v we_o be_v not_o his_o measure_n not_o by_o fleshly_a wisdom_n but_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n that_o be_v bâ—_n religion_n or_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o be_v call_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n as_o contain_v his_o graciâ—â—â—â—â—â—lings_n and_o intention_n towards_o we_o and_o aâ—_n both_o declare_v to_o we_o what_o we_o shall_v do_v and_o offer_v we_o grace_n whereby_o to_o do_v it_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n bring_v salvation_n teach_v we_o etc._n more_o wealthy_a worldly_a easy_a or_o happy_a person_n if_o a_o way_n or_o thing_n be_v never_o so_o cross_a to_o his_o worldly_a interest_n and_o to_o the_o crave_n of_o the_o flesh_n to_o discharge_v his_o duty_n and_o keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n he_o will_v take_v or_o do_v it_o and_o in_o any_o thing_n if_o a_o duty_n be_v call_v for_o by_o the_o gospel_n or_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n for_o any_o consideration_n of_o this_o world_n he_o will_v not_o forego_v it_o not_o in_o fleshly_a wisdom_n but_o in_o simplicity_n and_o godly_a sincerity_n which_o i_o have_v before_o explain_v at_o large_a and_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n or_o rule_n of_o the_o gospel_n i_o have_v have_v my_o conversation_n in_o the_o world_n last_o i_o shall_v note_v the_o comfort_n and_o satisfaction_n he_o find_v in_o all_o this_o this_o be_v our_o rejoice_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d our_o glory_n and_o triumph_n the_o testimony_n of_o our_o conscience_n etc._n etc._n such_o a_o cause_n of_o rejoice_v his_o converse_v in_o all_o thing_n without_o fleshly_a wisdom_n and_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n prove_v to_o he_o most_o full_o afterward_o but_o whilst_o he_o be_v practise_v this_o rule_n though_o he_o have_v plenty_n of_o inward_a comfort_n and_o satisfaction_n yet_o he_o find_v outward_a trouble_n enough_o therein_o as_o he_o have_v no_o regard_n for_o this_o world_n or_o for_o the_o rule_n of_o fleshly_a wisdom_n so_o have_v this_o world_n no_o more_o favour_n or_o regard_v for_o he_o all_o this_o time_n whilst_o he_o hold_v on_o in_o the_o way_n of_o simplicity_n and_o of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n he_o run_v through_o as_o much_o rage_n and_o rudeness_n and_o persecution_n of_o the_o world_n as_o any_o man_n this_o indeed_o be_v one_o thing_n he_o be_v still_o sure_a of_o and_o the_o great_a exercise_n of_o his_o life_n in_o every_o place_n so_o the_o holy_a ghost_n as_o he_o say_v witness_v to_o he_o that_o in_o every_o city_n bond_n and_o affliction_n abode_n or_o wait_v for_o he_o act._n 20.23_o nay_o these_o he_o meet_v with_o in_o the_o high_a degree_n conflict_a not_o only_o with_o the_o malice_n but_o with_o the_o downright_a rage_n and_o madness_n of_o the_o people_n they_o be_v ready_a to_o tread_v he_o down_o like_o dirt_n under_o their_o foot_n and_o value_v he_o no_o more_o than_o the_o sweep_n of_o the_o betake_v himself_o from_o simplicity_n and_o the_o strict_a rule_n of_o the_o gospel_n or_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o fleshly_a wisdom_n can_v any_o thing_n on_o earth_n have_v drive_v he_o thereto_o and_o he_o meet_v with_o outward_a trouble_n and_o sorrow_n enough_o for_o his_o conscientious_a and_o religious_a stiffness_n that_o he_o will_v not_o and_o yet_o after_o all_o this_o he_o do_v not_o in_o the_o least_o repent_v of_o all_o his_o suffering_n nay_o be_v they_o all_o to_o be_v suffer_v over_o again_o or_o as_o many_o more_o set_v before_o he_o he_o be_v as_o ready_a as_o ever_o he_o be_v to_o hold_v on_o still_o in_o the_o same_o course_n he_o look_v upon_o those_o suffering_n in_o this_o way_n with_o other_o eye_n than_o common_a spectator_n do_v rate_v they_o as_o favour_n and_o the_o true_a matter_n of_o glory_v and_o joy_n his_o case_n all_o this_o while_n seem_v most_o miserable_a to_o other_o but_o they_o see_v only_o the_o outside_n and_o view_v it_o at_o a_o distance_n whereas_o in_o truth_n it_o be_v all_o the_o time_n happy_a to_o himself_o the_o pain_n of_o his_o suffering_n be_v soon_o go_v but_o the_o peace_n and_o joy_n thereof_o be_v last_v whilst_o the_o pain_n and_o trouble_n be_v most_o press_v upon_o he_o he_o have_v still_o a_o stream_n of_o inward_a joy_n and_o consolation_n come_v in_o that_o do_v refresh_v and_o support_v he_o under_o they_o god_n comfort_v he_o as_o he_o say_v in_o all_o his_o tribulation_n and_o still_o as_o the_o suffering_n of_o christ_n abound_v in_o he_o so_o his_o consolation_n also_o in_o proportion_n abound_v by_o christ_n 2_o cor._n 1.4_o 5_o but_o though_o these_o joy_n come_v with_o his_o sorrow_n yet_o they_o do_v not_o vanish_v with_o they_o but_o stay_v and_o stick_v by_o he_o afterward_o for_o a_o full_a and_o abundant_a compensation_n and_o this_o be_v the_o comfort_n of_o all_o true_o religious_a and_o upright_a sufferer_n as_o this_o holy_a apostle_n be_v they_o be_v best_a please_v with_o themselves_o when_o other_o be_v most_o displease_v with_o they_o though_o they_o have_v not_o the_o joy_n of_o this_o world_n yet_o they_o have_v joy_n in_o it_o joy_n whilst_o they_o lose_v the_o good_a thing_n thereof_o yea_o therefore_o joy_v because_o they_o lose_v they_o and_o still_o a_o great_a measure_n of_o joy_n the_o great_a their_o loss_n be_v if_o it_o be_v for_o discharge_v a_o good_a conscience_n towards_o god_n or_o for_o keep_v the_o rule_n of_o righteousness_n and_o the_o service_n of_o jesus_n and_o they_o have_v a_o clear_a prospect_n of_o most_o
