watchman_n must_v look_v into_o your_o state_n in_o this_o behalf_n and_o tell_v you_o your_o duty_n that_o you_o may_v prevent_v those_o danger_n the_o sacrament_n be_v a_o part_n of_o god_n save_v 11.20_o to_o the_o end_n be_v a_o excellent_a precedent_n in_o this_o case_n many_o abuse_n be_v creep_v into_o the_o church_n of_o corinth_n other_o thing_n he_o let_v alone_o till_o he_o come_v cure_v with_o all_o expedition_n they_o will_v fester_v and_o wranckle_v and_o quick_o corrupt_v the_o very_a heart_n of_o religion_n in_o conscience_n therefore_o of_o my_o duty_n to_o god_n and_o you_o for_o the_o prevent_n of_o these_o evil_n i_o have_v undertake_v this_o course_n the_o second_o reason_n be_v the_o care_n of_o your_o soul_n they_o be_v dear_a and_o precious_a to_o the_o lord_n that_o buy_v they_o and_o therefore_o aught_o to_o be_v dear_a and_o precious_a to_o all_o god_n minister_n who_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v make_v overseer_n of_o they_o and_o that_o be_v it_o which_o the_o apostle_n seem_v to_o press_v act._n 20.28_o take_v heed_n to_o the_o flock_n over_o who_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v make_v you_o overseer_n etc._n etc._n which_o god_n have_v purchase_v with_o his_o own_o blood_n i_o shall_v be_v loath_a to_o be_v a_o minister_n of_o condemnation_n to_o any_o of_o you_o the_o power_n that_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v we_o be_v for_o own_o damnation_n a_o fearful_a yet_o a_o just_a reward_n of_o such_o a_o fearful_a sin_n the_o manner_n of_o the_o apostle_n speech_n be_v very_o remarkable_a he_o eat_v and_o drink_v his_o own_o till_o he_o come_v you_o may_v remember_v how_o we_o divide_v this_o scripture_n into_o two_o part_n we_o show_v that_o in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n there_o be_v a_o action_n perform_v in_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n there_o be_v a_o caution_n that_o it_o be_v to_o be_v perform_v withal_o in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n be_v the_o receive_n of_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n the_o caution_n that_o it_o be_v to_o be_v perform_v withal_o in_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n be_v the_o show_v forth_o of_o the_o lord_n death_n till_o he_o come_v not_o to_o trouble_v you_o with_o repeat_v of_o many_o thing_n in_o this_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n we_o observe_v unto_o you_o first_o the_o caution_n itself_o the_o show_v forth_o of_o the_o lord_n death_n second_o the_o frequent_v of_o the_o caution_n that_o it_o must_v be_v often_o do_v for_o howsoever_o this_o word_n often_o be_v not_o use_v in_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n yet_o in_o all_o common_a construction_n and_o understanding_n it_o be_v to_o be_v supply_v out_o of_o the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n as_o often_o as_o you_o shall_v eat_v this_o bread_n and_o drink_v this_o cup_n so_o often_o shall_v you_o show_v forth_o the_o lord_n death_n and_o last_o i_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o continuance_n of_o this_o whole_a duty_n the_o whole_a that_o be_v here_o speak_v of_o how_o long_o must_v this_o continue_v till_o christ_n come_v that_o be_v to_o say_v as_o long_o as_o the_o world_n stand_v till_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judgement_n we_o be_v enter_v upon_o this_o clause_n already_o i_o show_v you_o that_o this_o clause_n do_v offer_v unto_o we_o two_o thing_n for_o our_o consideration_n the_o first_o be_v the_o continuance_n itself_o of_o this_o duty_n how_o long_o it_o shall_v be_v to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n that_o the_o observation_n of_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n and_o the_o remember_v or_o the_o show_v forth_o of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n must_v continue_v among_o the_o faithful_a and_o be_v due_o observe_v by_o they_o to_o the_o very_a end_n of_o the_o world_n that_o be_v direct_o affirm_v here_o as_o you_o see_v i_o show_v you_o that_o there_o be_v another_o thing_n that_o be_v here_o covert_o employ_v and_o yet_o plain_a enough_o if_o we_o consider_v and_o weigh_v the_o word_n aright_o namely_o the_o end_n or_o the_o reach_n which_o the_o performer_n of_o this_o duty_n aim_v at_o or_o which_o we_o must_v aim_v at_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o this_o duty_n namely_o to_o fit_v we_o and_o prepare_v we_o to_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n unto_o judgement_n we_o have_v speak_v of_o the_o former_a part_n already_o now_o as_o god_n shall_v enable_v we_o we_o be_v to_o proceed_v to_o the_o latter_a part_n and_o so_o to_o finish_v up_o this_o scripture_n at_o this_o time_n therefore_o here_o second_o we_o must_v consider_v that_o which_o be_v covert_o employ_v namely_o the_o end_n or_o the_o reach_n that_o these_o action_n or_o these_o duty_n aim_v at_o or_o that_o we_o must_v aim_v at_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o these_o duty_n to_o fit_v we_o and_o prepare_v we_o to_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n unto_o judgement_n that_o the_o doctrine_n that_o hence_o we_o be_v to_o raise_v may_v appear_v to_o be_v build_v upon_o a_o firm_a and_o a_o sure_a ground_n we_o must_v show_v these_o two_o thing_n first_o that_o this_o particle_n that_o here_o be_v use_v till_o have_v the_o same_o use_n in_o the_o same_o sense_n elsewhere_o in_o the_o scripture_n not_o only_o to_o signify_v the_o continuance_n of_o a_o action_n till_o that_o time_n but_o withal_o to_o signify_v that_o that_o continuance_n be_v such_o a_o preparation_n to_o such_o a_o action_n second_o we_o must_v show_v that_o it_o be_v so_o to_o be_v understand_v here_o for_o it_o be_v not_o always_o in_o the_o scripture_n so_o mean_v therefore_o there_o must_v be_v some_o special_a inducement_n allege_v why_o it_o must_v be_v so_o take_v here_o concern_v the_o first_o that_o this_o particle_n be_v use_v in_o the_o same_o sense_n elsewhere_o i_o give_v you_o one_o instance_n in_o the_o open_n of_o the_o text_n in_o the_o 1_o cor._n 15.25_o where_o it_o be_v say_v that_o christ_n
