in_o sincerity_n such_o a_o one_o have_v of_o all_o other_o the_o most_o reason_n to_o delight_v in_o god_n and_o to_o love_n much_o because_o much_o shall_v be_v forgive_v he_o as_o our_o saviour_n argue_v in_o the_o case_n of_o mary_n magdalen_n and_o if_o we_o consider_v the_o passage_n of_o the_o return_v prodigal_a in_o the_o parable_n and_o what_o delight_n his_o father_n express_v to_o receive_v he_o we_o must_v conclude_v the_o son_n to_o have_v be_v unthankful_a if_o he_o do_v not_o delight_n in_o his_o father_n more_o after_o his_o return_n than_o if_o he_o have_v never_o go_v astray_o for_o by_o the_o way_n we_o must_v not_o have_v so_o mean_v a_o notion_n of_o delight_v in_o god_n as_o to_o think_v it_o be_v exclusive_a of_o godly_a sorrow_n the_o heathen_a can_v say_v of_o true_a joy_n that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o giggle_a thing_n it_o be_v a_o severe_a thing_n joy_n we_o know_v have_v its_o tear_n even_o in_o nature_n but_o it_o have_v more_o in_o grace_n and_o nothing_o better_o express_v our_o delight_n in_o god_n and_o nothing_o better_o advance_v it_o than_o sorrow_n for_o sin_n so_o that_o suppose_v a_o man_n mind_n to_o be_v but_o religious_o bend_v there_o be_v no_o other_o circumstance_n can_v exclude_v he_o exclude_v he_o do_v i_o say_v nay_o can_v excuse_v he_o from_o delight_v in_o god_n for_o we_o must_v consider_v that_o to_o delight_v in_o god_n be_v not_o only_o our_o privilege_n but_o our_o duty_n it_o be_v the_o proper_a acknowledgement_n that_o be_v due_a to_o the_o divine_a goodness_n and_o therefore_o whatsoever_o may_v be_v to_o contribute_v now_o be_v so_o large_a and_o oblige_v a_o promise_n as_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v fulfil_v till_o the_o future_a life_n it_o be_v well_o worth_a the_o wait_n for_o but_o yet_o god_n have_v provide_v more_o indulgent_o for_o those_o that_o love_v he_o godliness_n have_v the_o promise_n of_o this_o life_n as_o well_o as_o of_o that_o which_o be_v to_o come_v and_o this_o in_o the_o text_n have_v peculiar_a respect_n to_o this_o life_n and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v only_o treat_v of_o it_o in_o reference_n to_o its_o accomplishment_n here_o and_o show_v how_o and_o in_o what_o manner_n the_o goodness_n of_o god_n will_v infallible_o make_v it_o good_a to_o every_o one_o that_o delight_v in_o he_o when_o a_o man_n shall_v hear_v of_o such_o a_o overture_n as_o this_o thou_o shall_v have_v thy_o heart_n desire_n it_o be_v natural_a for_o he_o immediate_o to_o consult_v his_o heart_n and_o see_v what_o desire_v he_o have_v there_o throng_v forth_o at_o the_o hope_n of_o their_o accomplishment_n and_o there_o perhaps_o he_o may_v find_v the_o desire_n of_o ahab_n to_o enlarge_v his_o possession_n or_o the_o desire_n of_o amnon_n to_o compass_v his_o lust_n or_o the_o desire_n of_o haman_n to_o gratify_v his_o pride_n and_o revenge_n i_o mention_v these_o instance_n particular_o because_o they_o may_v afford_v we_o some_o far_a matter_n of_o instruction_n for_o we_o may_v observe_v of_o these_o three_o man_n that_o though_o one_o of_o they_o be_v a_o king_n and_o the_o other_o be_v a_o king_n son_n and_o the_o three_o a_o king_n be_v chief_a minion_n or_o favourite_n yet_o each_o of_o they_o account_v himself_o a_o unhappy_a man_n till_o such_o time_n as_o he_o can_v compass_v his_o particular_a desire_n they_o can_v neither_o eat_v nor_o drink_v
