considerable_a but_o all_o of_o they_o together_o complete_a a_o man_n temporal_a felicity_n and_o raise_v it_o to_o as_o high_a a_o pitch_n as_o be_v to_o be_v expect_v in_o this_o world_n i._o a_o religious_a and_o virtuous_a course_n of_o life_n be_v the_o best_a way_n to_o peace_n and_o contentment_n of_o mind_n and_o do_v common_o bring_v it_o and_o to_o a_o wise_a man_n that_o know_v how_o to_o value_v the_o ease_n and_o satisfaction_n of_o his_o own_o mind_n there_o can_v be_v a_o great_a temptation_n to_o religion_n and_o virtue_n than_o to_o consider_v that_o it_o be_v the_o best_a and_o only_o way_n to_o give_v rest_n to_o his_o mind_n and_o this_o be_v present_a fruit_n and_o ready_a payment_n because_o it_o immediate_o follow_v or_o rather_o accompany_v the_o discharge_n of_o our_o duty_n the_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n be_v peace_n say_v the_o prophet_n and_o the_o apostle_n to_o the_o hebrew_n speak_v of_o the_o peaceable_a fruit_n of_o righteousness_n mean_v that_o inward_a peace_n which_o a_o righteous_a man_n have_v in_o his_o own_o mind_n a_o man_n need_v not_o to_o take_v pain_n or_o to_o use_v many_o argument_n to_o satisfy_v and_o content_v his_o own_o mind_n after_o he_o have_v do_v a_o good_a action_n and_o to_o convince_v himself_o that_o he_o have_v no_o cause_n to_o be_v trouble_v for_o it_o for_o peace_n and_o pleasure_n do_v natural_o spring_v from_o it_o nay_o not_o only_o so_o but_o there_o be_v a_o unexpressible_a kind_n of_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n that_o flow_v from_o the_o testimony_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n let_v but_o a_o man_n take_v care_n to_o satisfy_v himself_o in_o the_o do_n of_o his_o duty_n and_o whatever_o trouble_v and_o storm_n may_v be_v raise_v from_o without_o all_o will_v be_v clear_a and_o two_o case_n this_o be_v the_o ordinary_a fruit_n of_o a_o holy_a and_o good_a course_n which_o be_v not_o interrupt_v by_o frequent_a fall_n into_o sin_n and_o great_a omission_n and_o violation_n deathbed_n that_o be_v a_o case_n that_o admit_v of_o no_o delay_n a_o man_n shall_v hasten_v restitution_n as_o he_o will_v do_v the_o make_n of_o his_o will_n and_o the_o disposal_n of_o his_o estate_n lest_o if_o he_o do_v not_o do_v it_o present_o he_o lose_v his_o opportunity_n of_o do_v it_o for_o ever_o but_o ordinary_o a_o man_n be_v not_o so_o strict_o tie_v up_o to_o moment_n and_o resolution_n and_o to_o oblige_v himself_o effectual_o to_o put_v it_o in_o execution_n he_o public_o declare_v it_o and_o before_o all_o the_o people_n offer_v to_o make_v restitution_n to_o all_o who_o he_o have_v injure_v therefore_o take_v heed_n of_o all_o unnecessary_a delay_n in_o these_o matter_n for_o though_o god_n will_v accept_v of_o a_o firm_a and_o sincere_a resolution_n in_o this_o case_n if_o a_o person_n thus_o resolve_v shall_v before_o he_o can_v bring_v his_o resolution_n to_o effect_v happen_v to_o be_v cut_v off_o by_o death_n or_o be_v otherwise_o render_v incapable_a of_o do_v it_o i_o say_v though_o god_n will_v accept_v such_o a_o resolution_n as_o this_o yet_o he_o will_v not_o interpret_v that_o to_o be_v a_o sincere_a resolution_n which_o a_o man_n presume_v upon_o his_o good_a intention_n and_o resolution_n in_o this_o kind_n for_o they_o be_v only_o acceptable_a to_o god_n so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v sincere_a and_o real_a and_o they_o be_v only_o so_o far_o sincere_a and_o real_a as_o the_o man_n that_o make_v they_o be_v ready_a to_o put_v they_o in_o execution_n so_o soon_o as_o moral_o he_o can_v and_o if_o thou_o careless_o and_o supine_o trifle_v away_o thy_o opportunity_n in_o this_o kind_n god_n may_v likewise_o deprive_v thou_o of_o a_o opportunity_n for_o ever_o for_o all_o the_o while_o thou_o wilful_o neglecte_v to_o make_v restitution_n thou_o be_v guilty_a of_o the_o injury_n and_o there_o be_v hardly_o two_o sin_n that_o cry_v loud_o to_o god_n for_o a_o quick_a and_o speedy_a revenge_n than_o injustice_n and_o oppression_n deceit_n and_o fraud_n god_n many_o time_n take_v such_o cause_n into_o his_o more_o immediate_a cognizance_n 2_o thess_n 4.4_o let_v no_o man_n deceive_v or_o go_v beyond_o his_o brother_n in_o any_o thing_n for_o god_n be_v the_o revenger_n of_o such_o and_o david_n tell_v we_o that_o god_n in_o a_o peculiar_a manner_n abhor_v the_o bloodthirsty_a and_o deceitful_a man_n charge_v upon_o they_o thou_o be_v not_o sure_a will_v be_v do_v ten_o to_o one_o but_o if_o they_o can_v find_v out_o any_o trick_n and_o evasion_n in_o law_n either_o to_o delay_v or_o avoid_v the_o do_n of_o it_o it_o shall_v either_o never_o be_v do_v or_o very_o slow_o this_o be_v the_o six_o thing_n the_o time_n when_o restitution_n be_v to_o be_v make_v but_o before_o i_o leave_v this_o head_n there_o be_v one_o case_n very_o proper_a to_o be_v consider_v which_o relate_v to_o this_o circumstance_n of_o time_n and_o that_o be_v concern_v injury_n of_o a_o very_a ancient_a date_n that_o be_v how_o far_o this_o duty_n of_o restitution_n be_v to_o look_v backward_o and_o whether_o it_o do_v not_o expire_v by_o track_v of_o time_n for_o answer_v to_o this_o i_o shall_v lay_v down_o these_o proportion_n 1._o at_o what_o distance_n of_o time_n soever_o the_o law_n will_v in_o the_o case_n make_v reparation_n and_o give_v satisfaction_n we_o be_v undoubted_o bind_v in_o conscience_n voluntary_o to_o give_v it_o i_o deliver_v this_o general_o because_o though_o it_o be_v possible_a some_o civil_a law_n may_v be_v in_o some_o case_n unreasonable_a in_o this_o matter_n yet_o they_o be_v our_o best_a rule_n and_o guide_n and_o speak_v general_o and_o for_o the_o most_o part_n they_o be_v as_o equitable_a as_o the_o reason_n of_o man_n can_v devise_v not_o that_o we_o which_o the_o apostle_n here_o mean_v and_o which_o he_o will_v persuade_v man_n to_o be_v a_o effectual_a belief_n of_o the_o gospel_n such_o a_o faith_n as_o have_v real_a effect_n upon_o man_n and_o make_v they_o to_o live_v as_o they_o believe_v such_o a_o faith_n as_o persuade_v they_o of_o the_o need_n of_o these_o blessing_n that_o the_o gospel_n offer_v and_o make_v they_o to_o desire_v to_o be_v partaker_n of_o they_o and_o in_o order_n thereto_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o submit_v to_o those_o term_n and_o condition_n of_o holiness_n and_o obedience_n which_o the_o gospel_n require_v this_o be_v the_o faith_n we_o will_v persuade_v man_n to_o and_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o necessary_a to_o be_v press_v upon_o the_o great_a part_n of_o christian_n than_o this_o for_o how_o few_o be_v there_o among_o those_o who_o profess_v to_o believe_v the_o gospel_n who_o believe_v it_o in_o this_o effectual_a manner_n so_o as_o to_o conform_v themselves_o to_o it_o the_o
