peril_n of_o their_o life_n be_v gracious_o call_v upon_o to_o return_v and_o to_o submit_v themselves_o unto_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o anoint_v against_o who_o they_o make_v their_o former_a rebellion_n and_o insurrection_n great_a be_v the_o sin_n which_o they_o have_v commit_v yet_o the_o lord_n who_o mercy_n have_v neither_o bottom_n nor_o measure_n not_o will_v the_o death_n of_o settle_v with_o yourselves_o this_o comfort_n that_o if_o you_o return_v from_o your_o sin_n and_o once_o leave_v your_o transgression_n he_o will_v not_o punish_v you_o nor_o execute_v those_o judgement_n upon_o you_o which_o you_o have_v deserve_v object_n but_o we_o be_v in_o no_o danger_n may_v you_o say_v object_n and_o so_o need_v not_o to_o repent_v for_o that_o cause_n for_o we_o live_v in_o the_o day_n of_o peace_n and_o no_o peril_n do_v hang_v over_o our_o head_n ans_fw-fr ans_fw-fr let_v no_o man_n deceive_v himself_o for_o we_o all_o have_v sin_v and_o trespass_v stir_v you_o nor_o yet_o the_o commodity_n that_o come_v by_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o lord_n will_v which_o be_v sweet_a and_o great_a can_v awaken_v you_o yet_o yet_o i_o say_v let_v the_o fear_n of_o your_o own_o damnation_n rouse_v you_o up_o hereunto_o for_o it_o be_v a_o most_o woeful_a thing_n to_o lie_v burn_v in_o hell_n and_o yet_o as_o it_o have_v be_v observe_v all_o ignorant_a person_n do_v so_o suppose_v here_o be_v a_o fire_n prepare_v to_o burn_v you_o and_o to_o morrow_n you_o must_v be_v cast_v into_o the_o same_o and_o there_o lie_v burn_v piece_n after_o that_o cover_n that_o cover_v all_o people_n and_o that_o veil_n that_o be_v spread_v over_o all_o nation_n to_o be_v remove_v away_o from_o you_o that_o you_o may_v be_v trouble_v no_o more_o with_o it_o darkness_n be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a plague_n which_o god_n bring_v upon_o egypt_n but_o as_o for_o the_o darkness_n of_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v worse_a than_o that_o by_o many_o degree_n for_o as_o this_o do_v hinder_v the_o judgement_n which_o as_o a_o eye_n shall_v guide_v our_o action_n from_o discern_v thing_n fit_a to_o be_v do_v and_o fit_a to_o be_v undo_v and_o as_o it_o do_v let_v our_o heart_n and_o mind_n from_o go_v and_o walk_v about_o our_o work_n of_o godliness_n so_o that_o we_o can_v pass_v through_o the_o sweet_a field_n of_o true_a comfort_n and_o heavenly_a meditation_n to_o life_n eternal_a so_o it_o do_v make_v we_o fall_v oftentimes_o into_o most_o horrible_a sin_n while_o we_o be_v here_o and_o it_o do_v cast_v we_o down_o at_o the_o last_o into_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n of_o hell_n wherehence_a we_o can_v never_o come_v out_o again_o so_o soon_o as_o we_o do_v depart_v from_o hence_o and_o will_v you_o then_o rest_v in_o it_o and_o not_o seek_v rather_o to_o come_v out_o of_o it_o what_o can_v pharaoh_n that_o wicked_a king_n use_v mean_n to_o come_v out_o of_o that_o bodily_a darkness_n wherein_o he_o be_v by_o send_v unto_o moses_n and_o aaron_n for_o that_o end_n and_o purpose_n &_o by_o offer_v unto_o they_o a_o certain_a kind_n of_o liberty_n to_o depart_v out_o of_o his_o country_n and_o will_v you_o sit_v still_o and_o not_o use_v mean_n to_o come_v out_o of_o the_o spiritual_a darkness_n wherein_o you_o be_v which_o be_v far_o worse_a than_o that_o of_o his_o be_v remember_v yourselves_o i_o pray_v and_o do_v as_o you_o ought_v to_o do_v but_o here_o some_o man_n may_v say_v object_n that_o it_o be_v better_a for_o we_o to_o remain_v still_o in_o our_o ignorance_n then_o to_o get_v knowledge_n unto_o ourselves_o because_o ignorance_n do_v excuse_v man_n before_o god_n and_o the_o more_o knowledge_n that_o any_o man_n have_v the_o great_a shall_v his_o judgement_n be_v at_o the_o last_o if_o he_o serve_v not_o god_n according_a to_o his_o knowledge_n as_o he_o ought_v to_o do_v for_o the_o servant_n say_v our_o saviour_n in_o luke_n 12.47_o that_o know_v his_o master_n will_n and_o do_v it_o not_o shall_v be_v beat_v with_o many_o stripe_n yea_o with_o more_o than_o he_o that_o know_v it_o not_o and_o do_v it_o not_o here_o be_v a_o goodly_a shift_n for_o man_n to_o cozen_v their_o own_o soul_n by_o ans_fw-fr but_o know_v thou_o o_o sinful_a man_n first_o that_o ignorance_n do_v not_o excuse_v man_n before_o god_n but_o rather_o accuse_v they_o as_o all_o other_o sin_n do_v and_o lay_v matter_n of_o condemnation_n against_o they_o to_o their_o eternal_a woe_n and_o death_n for_o it_o be_v a_o grievous_a transgression_n in_o his_o sight_n
confirmation_n hereof_o be_v ahab_n cain_n herod_n judas_n and_o such_o like_v speak_v of_o in_o the_o scripture_n and_o too_o many_o in_o our_o day_n who_o have_v long_o use_v swear_v lie_a uncleanness_n and_o some_o other_o vice_n be_v grow_v so_o blind_a in_o they_o that_o they_o neither_o will_v leave_v they_o neither_o be_v persuade_v that_o they_o tend_v so_o to_o their_o destruction_n as_o they_o do_v the_o three_o and_o last_o be_v greediness_n after_o the_o world_n and_o the_o commodity_n thereof_o for_o as_o outward_a darkness_n grow_v now_o and_o then_o by_o overmuch_o heat_n as_o we_o know_v the_o hot_a dung_n fall_v into_o our_o eye_n will_v hurt_v they_o as_o it_o be_v say_v it_o do_v toby_n so_o over-hote_a desire_n of_o gain_n hurt_v the_o inward_a light_n as_o be_v apparent_a both_o by_o that_o which_o have_v be_v say_v already_o touch_v the_o world_n and_o by_o that_o also_o which_o paul_n say_v that_o they_o that_o will_v be_v rich_a fall_n into_o temptation_n and_o into_o many_o foolish_a and_o noisome_a lust_n which_o drown_v man_n in_o perdition_n and_o destruction_n 1._o tim._n 6.9_o for_o this_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o pestilent_a eleven_o verse_n then_o towards_o god_n the_o son_n in_o the_o twelth_n verse_n for_o see_v they_o have_v before_o rebel_v against_o they_o both_o he_o will_v have_v they_o now_o return_v in_o all_o submission_n unto_o they_o both_o to_o the_o father_n they_o must_v perform_v these_o duty_n they_o must_v serve_v and_o worship_v he_o and_o whereas_o without_o fear_n they_o can_v but_o fail_v in_o many_o point_n which_o do_v belong_v unto_o he_o they_o must_v fear_v and_o reverence_v he_o in_o their_o heart_n be_v most_o willing_a at_o all_o time_n to_o do_v his_o commandment_n &_o most_o that_o we_o serve_v he_o in_o fear_n the_o second_o be_v that_o we_o rejoice_v before_o he_o in_o tremble_a for_o thus_o we_o may_v divide_v it_o if_o we_o will_v according_a to_o that_o division_n which_o seem_v to_o be_v make_v in_o the_o text_n itself_o for_o there_o you_o know_v it_o lie_v thus_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o fear_n and_o rejoice_v in_o tremble_v as_o though_o there_o be_v but_o two_o brances_fw-la include_v in_o it_o but_o yet_o if_o you_o will_v go_v more_o plain_o to_o work_v there_o be_v four_o thing_n exact_v of_o us._n the_o first_o be_v that_o we_o serve_v the_o lord_n the_o second_o be_v that_o we_o fear_v the_o lord_n the_o three_o be_v that_o we_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o the_o four_o be_v that_o we_o tremble_v before_o the_o lord_n the_o former_a of_o these_o seem_v to_o import_v the_o worship_n and_o honour_n itself_o which_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o and_o the_o three_o latter_a the_o manner_n how_o it_o must_v be_v yield_v unto_o he_o and_o that_o be_v first_o in_o fear_n as_o the_o fountain_n from_o whence_o it_o must_v proceed_v then_o second_o in_o joy_n and_o tremble_a as_o the_o hand_n by_o which_o it_o must_v be_v present_v unto_o he_o of_o all_o these_o by_o god_n grace_n i_o will_v speak_v somewhat_o and_o that_o in_o order_n as_o they_o lie_v in_o our_o text_n serve_v the_o lord_n say_v the_o prophet_n that_o be_v give_v unto_o they_o we_o be_v teach_v this_o doctrine_n that_o man_n must_v serve_v and_o worship_v the_o lord_n and_o be_v careful_a evermore_o to_o obey_v his_o will_n and_o to_o do_v whatsoever_o he_o shall_v no_o doubt_n but_o you_o shall_v have_v the_o true_a fear_n of_o the_o lord_n at_o the_o last_o within_o you_o hitherto_o of_o the_o first_o point_n now_o follow_v the_o second_o which_o be_v joy_n all_o other_o house_n in_o the_o country_n about_o he_o for_o pomp_n and_o necessary_a use_n how_o much_o do_v he_o rejoice_v in_o these_o daily_o experience_n do_v teach_v we_o that_o they_o be_v
