depose_v and_o murder_v that_o execrable_a violence_n be_v permit_v for_o wise_a end_n but_o this_o be_v no_o proof_n that_o god_n have_v authoritative_o transfer_v his_o kingdom_n to_o his_o deposer_n and_o murderer_n and_o this_o be_v a_o plain_a demonstration_n that_o it_o may_v become_v the_o divine_a wisdom_n to_o suffer_v prince_n to_o be_v depose_v and_o kingdom_n to_o be_v subdue_v without_o any_o design_n of_o transfer_v they_o to_o usurper_n but_o why_o may_v not_o god_n give_v they_o those_o kingdom_n which_o he_o have_v overturn_v by_o they_o undoubted_o he_o may_v he_o may_v give_v they_o by_o the_o conveyance_n of_o a_o lawful_a right_n or_o by_o express_a revelation_n but_o the_o dispute_n be_v not_o what_o god_n may_v do_v but_o what_o he_o do_v and_o whether_o he_o do_v proper_o give_v kingdom_n to_o usurper_n but_o the_o doctor_n suppose_v again_o that_o it_o be_v as_o agreeable_a to_o the_o sovereignty_n wisdom_n ibid._n and_o justice_n of_o god_n to_o give_v a_o kingdom_n to_o a_o usurper_n as_o to_o suffer_v a_o wicked_a tyrannical_a prince_n to_o ascend_v the_o throne_n with_o a_o legal_a title_n this_o he_o suppose_v but_o without_o proof_n and_o against_o reason_n god_n by_o virtue_n of_o his_o absolute_a sovereignty_n may_v give_v a_o kingdom_n to_o any_o one_o as_o he_o can_v give_v any_o man_n estate_n or_o wife_n to_o any_o man_n by_o the_o same_o sovereign_a dominion_n but_o first_o the_o possession_n of_o a_o estate_n wise_a or_o kingdom_n be_v no_o evidence_n of_o god_n donation_n and_o second_o when_o god_n do_v real_o give_v a_o kingdom_n all_o former_a right_n be_v extinguish_v by_o a_o divine_a right_n and_o it_o be_v no_o injustice_n in_o he_o to_o who_o it_o be_v give_v to_o possess_v and_o keep_v it_o but_o according_a to_o the_o doctor_n be_v principle_n the_o right_a of_o the_o former_a prince_n be_v still_o valid_a and_o he_o may_v prosecute_v it_o by_o a_o lawful_a war_n and_o therefore_o it_o must_v be_v unjust_a in_o the_o new_a prince_n to_o detain_v it_o from_o he_o and_o this_o do_v make_v a_o great_a difference_n between_o the_o doctor_n be_v usurper_n and_o a_o tyrannical_a prince_n with_o a_o legal_a title_n the_o late_a have_v lawful_a authoririty_n from_o god_n which_o he_o can_v keep_v and_o exercise_v without_o sin_n the_o tyrannical_a abuse_n of_o it_o be_v yet_o whole_o from_o himself_o and_o be_v only_o permit_v by_o god_n for_o end_n agreeable_a to_o his_o wisdom_n and_o justice_n but_o the_o doctor_n usurper_n have_v authority_n give_v he_o by_o god_n and_o yet_o the_o possession_n and_o defence_n of_o it_o against_o the_o lawful_a prince_n be_v unjust_a and_o unlawful_a now_o this_o be_v a_o plain_a contradiction_n in_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o thing_n and_o to_o god_n wisdom_n and_o justice_n also_o for_o hereby_o god_n be_v make_v to_o authorise_v that_o which_o be_v formal_o unjust_a which_o be_v contradictory_n to_o his_o justice_n and_o to_o give_v a_o prince_n a_o kingdom_n and_o yet_o oblige_v he_o to_o restore_v it_o which_o be_v disagreeable_a to_o his_o wisdom_n but_o in_o short_a let_v the_o doctor_n prove_v if_o he_o can_v that_o it_o be_v no_o sin_n in_o a_o usurper_n to_o possess_v himself_o of_o the_o throne_n and_o that_o he_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o restore_v it_o and_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o end_n of_o this_o controversy_n i_o will_v acknowledge_v that_o he_o have_v god_n authority_n and_o that_o his_o principle_n do_v not_o charge_n god_n as_o be_v the_o author_n of_o wickedness_n but_o if_o that_o be_v impossible_a to_o be_v prove_v he_o may_v wash_v and_o varnish_v and_o lay_v on_o colour_n till_o he_o be_v weary_a the_o aethiopian_a will_n still_o retain_v his_o skin_n and_o the_o leopard_n his_o spot_n the_o next_o objection_n he_o labour_v to_o remove_v be_v this_o that_o his_o principle_n justify_v a_o unreasonable_a and_o wicked_a ibid._n doctrine_n by_o make_v the_o act_n or_o permission_n of_o providence_n a_o rule_n for_o practice_n against_o right_n and_o justice_n the_o sum_n of_o his_o answer_n be_v this_o he_o acknowledge_v that_o it_o be_v impious_a to_o justify_v action_n from_o success_n or_o to_o conclude_v that_o be_v god_n cause_n which_o providence_n prosper_v because_o it_o confound_v the_o difference_n of_o good_a and_o evil_a and_o destroy_v all_o the_o stand_a rule_n of_o right_n and_o justice_n but_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o necessary_a duty_n to_o discharge_v those_o duty_n which_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n lay_v upon_o we_o according_a to_o the_o nature_n and_o intention_n of_o the_o providence_n and_o thus_o god_n providence_n may_v in_o some_o sense_n be_v a_o rule_n of_o practice_n and_o may_v make_v or_o extinguish_v a_o duty_n by_o change_v our_o relation_n or_o condition_n of_o life_n as_o in_o the_o present_a case_n he_o must_v transfer_v my_o
