What scandal given to Religion What matter of reproach and scorn is this like to be unto us from our common enemy What an unparalell'd blot is hereby laid upon this Church and Nation never like to be washed out in this Age nor in the Age of our children after us and what danger of swift destruction if there be not repentance in time May not the Lord complain of us as once he did of Israel When he slew them then they sought him f Psa 78.34 35 36
