of_o the_o scripture_n upon_o which_o account_n the_o church_n profess_v she_o tell_v we_o nothing_o from_o herself_o and_o that_o she_o invent_v nothing_o new_a in_o her_o doctrine_n she_o do_v nothing_o but_o declare_v the_o divine_a revelation_n according_a to_o the_o interior_a direction_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o be_v give_v to_o she_o as_o a_o teacher_n i_o profess_v all_o useful_a to_o interpret_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o scripture_n yet_o we_o receive_v not_o any_o tradition_n upon_o her_o authority_n as_o make_v they_o tradition_n of_o the_o apostle_n but_o upon_o her_o testimony_n show_v that_o she_o have_v receive_v they_o from_o they_o and_o again_o those_o tradition_n she_o do_v deliver_v ought_v not_o certain_o
than_o so_o he_o still_o may_v glory_v in_o his_o work_n though_o not_o as_o wrought_v by_o himself_o what_o he_o add_v out_o of_o another_o session_n will_v come_v to_o be_v consider_v in_o its_o proper_a place_n but_o so_o far_o as_o it_o relate_v to_o the_o point_n in_o hand_n that_o they_o confess_v man_n have_v nothing_o to_o glory_n nor_o for_o which_o he_o may_v confide_v in_o himself_o be_v true_a but_o it_o be_v upon_o this_o ground_n they_o confess_v it_o that_o we_o can_v do_v nothing_o of_o ourselves_o but_o all_o through_o christ_n who_o strengthen_v we_o not_o upon_o any_o any_o thing_n say_v here_o by_o m._n condom_n in_o vindication_n of_o his_o church_n sentiment_n to_o recede_v in_o the_o least_o what_o the_o church_n of_o england_n have_v declare_v and_o profess_v concern_v they_o for_o though_o the_o precept_n exhortation_n promise_n and_o threaten_n of_o the_o gospel_n show_v that_o we_o must_v work_v out_o our_o own_o salvation_n by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n assist_v we_o yet_o they_o show_v not_o that_o what_o be_v do_v by_o we_o do_v merit_v our_o salvation_n or_o can_v in_o justice_n claim_v it_o of_o god_n neither_o be_v it_o altogether_o so_o just_a that_o his_o church_n shall_v use_v the_o word_n merit_n to_o express_v the_o acceptableness_n of_o good_a work_n with_o god_n since_o she_o limit_n it_o to_o a_o sense_n different_a from_o what_o be_v ancient_o understand_v thereby_o nor_o will_v i_o fear_v to_o maintain_v that_o those_o who_o will_v have_v the_o work_n of_o christian_n to_o merit_v heaven_n of_o their_o own_o intrinsic_a value_n though_o suppose_v that_o value_n still_o arise_v from_o its_o be_v wrought_v by_o grace_n do_v hold_v a_o tenet_n prejudicial_a to_o the_o faith_n whilst_o they_o hold_v not_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n through_o christ_n again_o necessary_a to_o accept_v of_o that_o to_o such_o a_o reward_n which_o the_o intrinsic_a worth_n of_o it_o do_v not_o deserve_v nor_o his_o free_a mercy_n in_o bestow_v eternal_a life_n according_a to_o his_o promise_n for_o though_o the_o first_o principle_n produce_v such_o work_n the_o help_v grant_v through_o christ_n be_v heavenly_a yet_o see_v that_o grace_n do_v not_o immediate_o produce_v the_o work_n but_o by_o co-oporating_a with_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n infect_v with_o concupiscence_n it_o can_v be_v say_v either_o that_o such_o work_n be_v true_o perfect_a or_o that_o they_o can_v demand_v a_o reward_n as_o if_o they_o have_v be_v the_o effect_n of_o grace_n alone_o without_o the_o alloy_n that_o concupiscence_n and_o humane_a weakness_n give_v to_o abate_v their_o value_n nor_o will_v i_o decline_v to_o say_v that_o he_o that_o shall_v maintain_v the_o merit_n of_o our_o good_a work_n such_o as_o true_o merit_v
