rom._n and_o on_o the_o doctrine_n and_o exposition_n of_o all_o the_o holy_a father_n and_o on_o the_o practice_n not_o only_o of_o the_o primitive_a church_n but_o of_o all_o ensue_a church_n throughout_o the_o world_n and_o of_o both_o laity_n and_o clergy_n until_o gregory_n the_o vii_o time_n some_o ten_o entire_a age_n after_o christ_n and_o all_o for_o the_o independency_n of_o the_o civil_a power_n of_o prince_n from_o the_o church_n as_o also_o for_o the_o subjection_n of_o the_o church_n in_o civil_a matter_n to_o earthly_a prince_n humane_a nay_o and_o daily_o humane_a experience_n also_o forasmuch_o as_o we_o see_v it_o teach_v by_o so_o many_o famous_a divine_n and_o read_v in_o their_o book_n that_o it_o be_v not_o always_o safe_a in_o point_n of_o conscience_n to_o follow_v that_o opinion_n in_o practice_n which_o in_o pure_a speculation_n seem_v probable_a to_o we_o nay_o or_o even_o that_o which_o so_o seem_v the_o more_o probable_a whereof_o i_o can_v instance_n a_o variety_n of_o example_n and_o see_v it_o teach_v and_o read_v in_o they_o consequent_o that_o some_o may_v have_v a_o pure_a speculative_a opinion_n as_o probable_a nay_o as_o the_o more_o probable_a to_o they_o for_o such_o or_o such_o a_o power_n to_o be_v in_o the_o church_n in_o actu_fw-la primo_fw-la and_o yet_o not_o this_o other_o annex_v consideratis_fw-la omnibus_fw-la that_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o the_o church_n to_o proceed_v at_o any_o time_n to_o the_o execution_n of_o it_o and_o forasmuch_o also_o as_o all_o ghostly_a father_n or_o the_o judicious_a and_o who_o be_v of_o a_o timorous_a conscience_n nay_o and_o other_o too_o beside_o ghostly_a father_n daily_o find_v it_o so_o in_o themselves_o at_o least_o in_o such_o case_n wherein_o they_o know_v that_o if_o possible_o they_o shall_v err_v and_o transgress_v against_o the_o objective_a truth_n of_o thing_n and_o law_n by_o follow_v in_o practice_n such_o a_o speculation_n as_o upon_o some_o of_o god_n for_o such_o breach_n whereas_o they_o be_v absolute_o certain_a that_o whether_o their_o such_o speculation_n be_v true_a or_o false_a yet_o if_o they_o in_o practice_n follow_v the_o contrary_a opinion_n or_o speculation_n there_o be_v no_o law_n at_o all_o as_o much_o as_o objective_o take_v which_o may_v be_v transgress_v by_o they_o as_o for_o example_n in_o case_n of_o such_o a_o pure_a speculative_a opinion_n of_o a_o power_n in_o one_o self_n to_o force_v away_o his_o horse_n or_o purse_n or_o house_n or_o land_n or_o lordship_n or_o principality_n from_o another_o who_o both_o himself_o and_o predecessor_n be_v and_o be_v ever_o till_o then_o bona_fw-la fide_fw-la in_o peaceable_a possession_n and_o be_v so_o if_o it_o be_v a_o lordship_n or_o land_n etc._n etc._n for_o a_o thousand_o year_n for_o in_o such_o a_o case_n there_o can_v be_v no_o sin_n no_o breach_n of_o any_o law_n in_o not_o conform_v in_o practice_n to_o the_o speculation_n but_o there_o may_v be_v in_o conform_v and_o consequent_o common_a experience_n also_o in_o the_o daily_a regulation_n of_o our_o own_o conscience_n tell_v we_o there_o must_v not_o of_o necessity_n be_v such_o a_o connexion_n of_o dictate_v beside_o who_o see_v not_o that_o whether_o so_o or_o no_o there_o be_v not_o in_o england_n at_o least_o in_o the_o day_n of_o thomas_n of_o canterbury_n any_o law_n make_v it_o treason_n to_o hold_v that_o the_o christian_a church_n in_o some_o extraordinary_a case_n may_v transfer_v the_o right_n of_o that_o crown_n from_o henry_n the_o second_o as_o for_o example_n doctrine_n or_o dictate_v treasonable_a neither_o can_v be_v so_o each_o or_o both_o may_v be_v unconscientious_a erroneous_a injurious_a and_o wicked_a at_o least_o according_a to_o the_o objective_a
