so_o as_o we_o be_v clothe_v and_o cover_v with_o christ_n the_o lord_n our_o righteousness_n dwell_v in_o we_o he_o make_v unto_o we_o in_o we_o righteousness_n as_o well_o as_o sanctification_n wisdom_n and_o redemption_n from_o which_o to_o wit_n christ_n in_o we_o all_o those_o inward_a virtue_n and_o grace_n of_o love_n hope_v patience_n humility_n meekness_n temperance_n as_o well_o as_o faith_n do_v flow_v and_o proceed_v as_o stream_n from_o a_o fountain_n now_o it_o be_v the_o fountain_n which_o be_v christ_n himself_o that_o we_o regard_v principal_o in_o our_o justification_n and_o but_o in_o the_o next_o place_n that_o inward_a righteousness_n wrought_v by_o he_o in_o we_o which_o be_v but_o as_o the_o stream_n so_o it_o be_v not_o the_o stream_n that_o we_o rely_v and_o in_o that_o little_a book_n call_v a_o lock_v glass_n for_o all_o protestant_n and_o richard_n baxter_n who_o i_o suppose_v i._n m._n will_v hardly_o brand_v with_o popery_n speak_v hereof_o in_o his_o book_n call_v aphorism_n of_o justification_n pag._n 80._o say_v that_o some_o ignorant_a wretch_n gnash_v their_o tooth_n at_o this_o doctrine_n as_o if_o it_o be_v flat_a popery_n i_o judge_v i._o m._n will_v not_o take_v it_o well_o to_o be_v accommodat_fw-la among_o such_o and_o yet_o i_o see_v not_o how_o in_o his_o brother_n r._n baxter_n his_o judgement_n he_o can_v avoid_v this_o censure_n second_o consider_v that_o justificaton_n as_o it_o be_v take_v for_o a_o remission_n of_o sin_n although_o it_o do_v indeed_o respect_v inward_a righteousness_n as_o a_o condition_n necessary_a to_o the_o obtainment_n of_o it_o yet_o it_o do_v not_o respect_v it_o either_o as_o the_o procure_a cause_n of_o it_o nor_o yet_o as_o its_o formal_a reason_n the_o procure_a cause_n be_v christ_n alone_o who_o become_v the_o expiatory_a sacrifice_n and_o propitiation_n unto_o god_n for_o our_o sin_n the_o formal_a reason_n of_o the_o remission_n be_v indeed_o the_o remission_n or_o unto_o god_n that_o so_o it_o may_v become_v light_n in_o the_o lord_n which_o be_v darkness_n according_a to_o which_o augustin_n say_v express_o lib._n annot._n in_o fol._n ult_n in_o voluntate_fw-la enim_fw-la cujusque_fw-la est_fw-la utrum_fw-la tenebrae_fw-la sit_fw-la a_o lux_fw-la etc._n etc._n it_o be_v in_o the_o will_n of_o every_o man_n whether_o he_o be_v darkness_n or_o perfection_n i_o propose_v this_o alternative_a that_o see_v the_o father_n hold_v these_o doctrine_n as_o scultetus_n and_o other_o acknowledge_v it_o will_v follow_v that_o either_o they_o be_v not_o popish_a error_n or_o that_o popish_a error_n be_v mantain_v by_o the_o father_n in_o the_o first_o three_o century_n if_o i._n m._n grant_v the_o first_o he_o clear_v the_o quaker_n as_o to_o these_o thing_n if_o he_o grant_v the_o second_o he_o contradict_v himself_o who_o do_v undertake_v to_o defend_v the_o principle_n own_v by_o he_o to_o be_v conform_v to_o the_o father_n in_o that_o
