because_o they_o tend_v to_o confusion_n which_o can_v not_o have_v be_v a_o convince_a argument_n to_o they_o then_o as_o to_o that_o particular_a if_o it_o be_v not_o always_o true_a in_o the_o general_n that_o no_o doctrine_n tend_v to_o confusion_n or_o to_o the_o make_n of_o disturbance_n either_o in_o church_n or_o state_n can_v true_o be_v say_v to_o be_v from_o god_n or_o that_o god_n be_v the_o author_n of_o it_o but_o be_v not_o will_n you_o say_v the_o preach_v of_o the_o gospel_n obj._n the_o preach_n of_o christianity_n itself_o the_o cause_n of_o great_a commotion_n and_o disturbance_n in_o the_o world_n and_o be_v it_o not_o in_o this_o respect_n that_o christ_n himself_o say_v that_o he_o come_v to_o send_v a_o sword_n and_o not_o peace_n and_o consequent_o it_o seem_v that_o either_o christian_a religion_n itself_o must_v be_v false_a or_o that_o some_o doctrine_n that_o cause_n disturbance_n and_o confusion_n in_o the_o world_n may_v be_v true_a to_o this_o which_o be_v the_o only_a considerable_a objection_n i_o can_v think_v of_o answ._n i_o answer_v that_o christian_a religion_n be_v indeed_o the_o occasion_n but_o not_o the_o cause_n of_o those_o commotion_n and_o disturbance_n which_o it_o do_v not_o make_v but_o meet_v with_o in_o the_o world_n when_o it_o be_v first_o publish_v for_o those_o commotion_n whatsoever_o they_o be_v do_v not_o proceed_v from_o man_n believe_v and_o obey_v but_o from_o their_o not_o believe_v or_o their_o not_o obey_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o as_o for_o the_o sword_n that_o christ_n say_v he_o come_v to_o send_v into_o the_o world_n it_o be_v a_o sword_n of_o passive_a persecution_n and_o not_o a_o sword_n of_o active_a invasion_n resistance_n or_o rebellion_n it_o be_v a_o sword_n wherewith_o christian_n be_v to_o be_v slay_v themselves_o and_o not_o a_o sword_n with_o which_o they_o be_v to_o destroy_v other_o the_o weapon_n of_o their_o warfare_n be_v spiritual_a to_o work_v
