down_o at_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n yet_o contend_v still_o about_o government_n the_o government_n of_o the_o church_n be_v the_o only_a controversy_n among_o the_o church_n not_o the_o great_a mystery_n of_o godliness_n god_n manifest_a in_o flesh_n no_o matter_n of_o doctrine_n or_o worship_n be_v question_v by_o they_o but_o the_o government_n of_o the_o church_n whether_o the_o church_n or_o elder_n shall_v rule_v this_o the_o independent_a church_n deny_v though_o their_o rule_n and_o teach_v elder_n be_v as_o proud_a as_o presbyter_n but_o sure_o the_o time_n be_v come_v that_o man_n who_o be_v so_o much_o for_o government_n and_o rule_n shall_v swear_v they_o will_v be_v no_o ruler_n nor_o rule_v elder_n any_o more_o for_o i_o have_v neither_o bread_n nor_o clothing_n in_o my_o house_n that_o be_v they_o shall_v confess_v that_o they_o have_v scarce_o enough_o for_o themselves_o scarce_o so_o much_o knowledge_n and_o spiritual_a understanding_n as_o to_o satisfy_v and_o instruct_v themselves_o muchless_a to_o convince_v and_o teach_v other_o and_o as_o there_o be_v a_o famine_n on_o their_o gift_n so_o in_o grace_n they_o be_v so_o famish_v that_o they_o fall_v to_o oppress_v one_o another_o that_o be_v to_o eat_v each_o other_o flesh_n that_o be_v the_o extremity_n of_o famine_n which_o come_v upon_o the_o church_n as_o another_o prophet_n phrase_v it_o they_o shall_v eat_v every_o one_o the_o flesh_n of_o his_o brother_n zaoh._n 13._o this_o be_v speak_v of_o the_o whole_a church_n and_o of_o all_o the_o pastor_n or_o shepherd_n v._n who_o be_v call_v famine_n be_v soarer_n for_o not_o only_a mother_n eat_v the_o flesh_n of_o their_o tender_a babe_n but_o the_o father_n eat_v their_o child_n and_o the_o child_n their_o parent_n ezek._n that_o the_o father_n eat_v the_o child_n be_v plain_a in_o the_o church_n for_o whereas_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o the_o father_n ought_v to_o provide_v for_o their_o child_n as_o he_o himself_o will_v rather_o work_v and_o labour_n night_n and_o day_n with_o his_o hand_n then_o that_o the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v chargeable_a to_o the_o saint_n especial_o the_o weak_a now_o not_o only_o the_o weak_a but_o the_o world_n must_v be_v at_o charge_n to_o provide_v for_o the_o father_n of_o the_o church_n for_o our_o preacher_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o how_o the_o child_n can_v eat_v the_o flesh_n of_o their_o father_n be_v very_o strange_a see_v the_o flesh_n of_o elder_a man_n be_v wrinkle_v with_o age_n and_o watery_a humour_n and_o worse_o for_o food_n than_o the_o flesh_n of_o child_n but_o so_o it_o be_v though_o not_o in_o the_o church_n yet_o in_o the_o kingdom_n there_o be_v man_n count_v child_n who_o eat_v up_o the_o flesh_n of_o father_n divine_n doctor_n pastor_n teacher_n and_o the_o flesh_n of_o elder_n all_o their_o form_n of_o doctrine_n and_o worship_n with_o their_o profess_a holy_a walk_n be_v but_o food_n for_o babe_n and_o young_a beginner_n in_o the_o lord_n to_o feed_v upon_o but_o to_o consume_v as_o fire_v which_o be_v feed_v with_o the_o fuel_n that_o it_o devour_v for_o indeed_o there_o be_v none_o who_o the_o lord_n feed_v with_o understanding_n and_o knowledge_n there_o be_v scarce_o a_o know_a christian_n this_o day_n that_o grow_v in_o knowledge_n though_o he_o be_v small_a simple_a yet_o he_o see_v the_o vanity_n of_o church_n the_o emptiness_n of_o their_o ordinance_n then_o in_o the_o fall_n of_o their_o officer_n their_o famine_n appear_v for_o as_o the_o lord_n before_o take_v away_o the_o whole_a staff_n of_o bread_n and_o stay_v of_o water_n so_o they_o eat_v their_o bread_n by_o weight_n and_o their_o water_n by_o measure_n this_o be_v much_o that_o water_n which_o be_v so_o common_a shall_v be_v drink_v by_o measure_n and_o the_o measure_n so_o small_a but_o the_o sixh_a part_n of_o a_o hin_n a_o hin_n be_v no_o more_o than_o a_o pint_n yea_o the_o prophet_n himself_o the_o only_a minister_n of_o the_o church_n must_v eat_v his_o bread_n bake_v with_o man_n dung_n which_o must_v needs_o make_v the_o bread_n unsavoury_a and_o unclean_a v._o 12_o 13._o and_o though_o the_o prophet_n complain_v of_o this_o to_o the_o lord_n as_o a_o hard_a thing_n for_o he_o to_o undergo_v to_o eat_v bread_n leaven_v with_o man_n dung_n yet_o nothing_o be_v grant_v to_o he_o but_o this_o that_o instead_o of_o man_n dung_n he_o may_v prepare_v and_o leaven_n his_o bread_n with_o the_o dung_n of_o a_o beast_n this_o be_v but_o little_o better_a all_o this_o show_v thus_o much_o that_o the_o reprobate_a church_n eat_v their_o bread_n and_o drink_v their_o
