shed_v upon_o the_o cross_n for_o our_o salvation_n and_o so_o receive_v this_o the_o lord_n supper_n even_o for_o a_o token_n badge_n or_o cognizance_n of_o this_o faith_n and_o salvation_n in_o christ_n merit_n declare_v thereby_o evermore_o his_o death_n and_o passion_n with_o thanksgiving_a until_o he_o come_v neither_o must_v we_o now_o so_o much_o as_o once_o dream_v of_o any_o gross_a or_o carnal_a eat_n or_o fleshlie_o feed_v or_o think_v that_o we_o be_v come_v at_o this_o present_a to_o feed_v our_o sense_n and_o belly_n to_o corruption_n for_o that_o be_v base_o to_o abject_a and_o bind_v ourselves_o to_o the_o element_n and_o creature_n and_o so_o to_o declare_v ourselves_o drown_v in_o deed_n in_o the_o dirty_a lake_n of_o blindness_n and_o ignorance_n but_o only_o and_o in_o truth_n to_o nourish_v and_o feed_v our_o inward_a man_n to_o immortality_n and_o life_n everlasting_a namely_o that_o as_o our_o outward_a man_n be_v nourish_v by_o let_v in_o this_o bodily_a meat_n into_o the_o stomach_n that_o be_v helthsome_a and_o sound_a to_o be_v digest_v so_o our_o inward_a man_n may_v be_v spiritual_o feed_v and_o satisfy_v by_o receive_v the_o meat_n thereof_o into_o our_o soul_n and_o hart_n sound_n and_o whole_a in_o faith_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v not_o need_v now_o at_o this_o present_a time_n in_o do_v these_o thing_n to_o whet_v our_o tooth_n o_o my_o soul_n but_o as_o s._n cyprian_n say_v with_o sincere_a faith_n to_o break_v and_o divide_v this_o holy_a bread_n for_o sure_o without_o faith_n which_o indeed_o be_v the_o only_a instrument_n most_o necessary_a in_o the_o right_a use_n of_o all_o these_o holy_a mystery_n it_o be_v impossible_a to_o please_v god_n herein_o neither_o can_v the_o unbeliever_n and_o faithless_a folk_n feed_v upon_o the_o lord_n precious_a body_n nor_o enjoy_v the_o eat_n and_o drink_v of_o this_o so_o high_a and_o divine_a nourishment_n of_o spiritual_a food_n yea_o to_o have_v any_o other_o eat_v than_o spiritual_o by_o faith_n only_o be_v plain_a idolatry_n it_o behove_v we_o therefore_o o_o my_o soul_n diligent_o to_o ponder_v weigh_v and_o consider_v of_o these_o thing_n that_o now_o at_o the_o last_o we_o may_v not_o only_o unfeinedlie_o and_o thorough_o try_v prove_v and_o examine_v ourselves_o our_o own_o conscience_n and_o life_n but_o also_o humble_o acknowledge_v our_o fault_n unto_o god_n hearty_o repent_v our_o former_a sinful_a life_n ask_v mercy_n of_o god_n the_o father_n for_o christ_n sake_n and_o glad_o forgive_a all_o our_o offender_n effectual_o and_o consider_v these_o earthly_a element_n and_o terrene_a creature_n which_o we_o see_v with_o our_o corporal_a eye_n and_o still_o remain_v so_o but_o especial_o and_o in_o deed_n have_v respect_n to_o the_o heavenly_a grace_n and_o benefit_n which_o our_o faith_n behold_v in_o and_o by_o they_o neither_o must_v we_o by_o any_o mean_n cleave_v to_o these_o inferior_a or_o base_a thing_n which_o lie_v here_o beneath_o and_o be_v visible_o discern_v but_o leave_v they_o altogether_o we_o must_v rather_o resemble_v and_o play_v the_o part_n of_o the_o eagle_n who_o fly_v &_o mount_v up_o thither_o where_o the_o dead_a body_n lie_v that_o be_v give_v credit_n to_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n who_o say_v the_o word_n that_o i_o speak_v be_v spirit_n and_o life_n and_o again_o remember_v endeavour_n ourselves_o so_o to_o live_v as_o though_o every_o hour_n shall_v be_v unto_o we_o the_o last_o hour_n and_o by_o that_o mean_v we_o shall_v not_o be_v unready_a how_o sudden_o soever_o death_n shall_v steal_v upon_o we_o nor_o yet_o shall_v we_o fear_v his_o come_n furthermore_o let_v we_o think_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o our_o wretched_a body_n and_o vile_a carcase_n which_o be_v force_v to_o turn_v away_o their_o head_n stop_v of_o their_o nose_n for_o the_o very_a noisomeness_n of_o the_o corrupt_a savour_n and_o evil_n stinch_v thereof_o let_v we_o also_o consider_v what_o shall_v then_o avail_v we_o for_o our_o possession_n and_o riches_n which_o we_o have_v seek_v for_o so_o busy_o and_o so_o greedy_o to_o heap_v together_o we_o must_v then_o leave_v behind_o we_o and_o of_o they_o shall_v carry_v away_o nothing_o with_o we_o save_v a_o heavy_a burden_n of_o conscience_n of_o such_o part_n of_o they_o which_o we_o do_v unlawfullie_o possess_v wrongful_o withhold_v or_o else_o have_v evil_o get_v let_v we_o then_o weigh_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o our_o soul_n when_o it_o shall_v leave_v the_o body_n to_o rot_v in_o the_o earth_n and_o itself_o shall_v be_v call_v into_o judgement_n before_o the_o high_a judge_n where_o it_o shall_v be_v force_v to_o make_v a_o straight_a account_n of_o all_o work_n word_n and_o thought_n where_o it_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o conceal_v nothing_o but_o the_o very_a secret_n of_o all_o our_o do_n shall_v then_o be_v make_v open_a and_o that_o which_o here_o we_o be_v ashamed_a to_o confess_v shall_v then_o be_v manifest_a and_o the_o book_n shall_v be_v open_v in_o which_o all_o our_o deed_n and_o thought_n shall_v be_v rehearse_v before_o the_o whole_a company_n of_o heaven_n and_o then_o shall_v be_v say_v to_o every_o one_o of_o we_o behold_v this_o man_n and_o his_o work_n then_o shall_v our_o conscience_n accuse_v we_o all_o our_o evil_a deed_n as_o witness_n shall_v come_v in_o against_o us._n the_o devil_n shall_v be_v there_o ready_a to_o draw_v we_o with_o he_o into_o eternal_a perdition_n and_o with_o the_o terriblenesse_n of_o his_o countenance_n shall_v put_v we_o in_o horrible_a fear_n then_o shall_v we_o tremble_v and_o quake_v and_o desire_v to_o have_v respite_n for_o the_o amendment_n of_o our_o former_a wicked_a life_n and_o to_o repent_v we_o of_o our_o lend_v we_o time_n repent_v in_o time_n which_o if_o we_o do_v unfeinedlie_o then_o may_v we_o assure_v ourselves_o to_o receive_v mercy_n and_o forgiveness_n of_o god_n for_o asmuch_o as_o he_o penitence_n let_v we_o then_o call_v to_o remembrance_n the_o lover_n of_o this_o world_n that_o be_v here_o among_o we_o not_o long_o ago_o what_o be_v now_o become_v of_o they_o and_o that_o nothing_o remain_v of_o they_o but_o dust_n and_o worm_n they_o have_v be_v man_n as_o we_o be_v they_o solicit_v and_o use_v all_o kind_n of_o mirth_n they_o bankete_v they_o be_v gorgiouslie_o apparel_v they_o be_v very_o pleasant_a and_o lead_v their_o day_n in_o all_o worldly_a delight_n but_o sudden_o and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o their_o jollity_n death_n arrest_v they_o &_o carry_v they_o down_o into_o hell_n here_o the_o flesh_n of_o they_o be_v appoint_v to_o feed_v the_o worm_n and_o there_o their_o soul_n be_v evermore_o torment_v in_o the_o unquenchable_a flame_n of_o hell_n fire_n where_o now_o they_o find_v no_o profit_n of_o all_o those_o fleshlie_o pleasure_n worldly_a reioicing_n and_o evil_a concupiscence_n and_o for_o so_o short_a and_o vain_a heaviness_n where_o the_o fire_n continual_o burn_v they_o and_o yet_o never_o consume_v they_o nor_o by_o his_o long_a burn_n leese_v any_o part_n of_o his_o heat_n where_o the_o worm_n do_v gnaw_v their_o conscience_n where_o the_o devil_n which_o be_v their_o tormentor_n wax_v never_o weary_a in_o torment_v of_o they_o or_o take_v any_o pity_n on_o they_o nor_o will_v be_v entreat_v to_o which_o be_v high_a and_o perfect_a goodness_n and_o where_o the_o perfect_a goodness_n be_v there_o be_v the_o high_a and_o most_o perfect_a felicity_n there_o be_v the_o chief_a and_o perfect_a charity_n eternal_a surety_n and_o sure_a eternity_n true_a gladness_n full_a knowledge_n all_o beauty_n all_o bliss_n in_o this_o sort_n shall_v the_o man_n be_v bless_v with_o god_n in_o who_o conscience_n shall_v be_v find_v no_o sin_n he_o shall_v see_v god_n after_o his_o own_o desire_n he_o shall_v possess_v to_o pleasure_n and_o enjoy_v to_o gladness_n he_o shall_v flourish_v in_o eternity_n he_o shall_v shine_v in_o verity_n he_o shall_v joy_n in_o righteousness_n and_o as_o he_o shall_v have_v eternity_n of_o continuance_n so_o he_o shall_v have_v facility_n of_o knowledge_n and_o felicity_n of_o rest_n he_o shall_v be_v delight_v in_o god_n who_o countenance_n be_v amiable_a who_o face_n be_v beautiful_a who_o speech_n be_v pleasant_a he_o be_v delectable_a to_o behold_v sweet_a to_o possess_v pleasant_a to_o enjoy_v in_o he_o understanding_n be_v make_v clear_a affection_n be_v purify_v that_o we_o may_v love_v and_o know_v he_o as_o he_o be_v so_o that_o then_o we_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o seek_v any_o thing_n beside_o he_o for_o the_o whole_a be_v find_v in_o he_o so_o much_o as_o be_v to_o be_v desire_v or_o may_v possible_o rejoice_v or_o delight_v us._n
