jesus_n christ_n work_n for_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n as_o well_o as_o when_o he_o be_v on_o earth_n yet_o the_o saint_n work_v for_o the_o saint_n only_o in_o this_o life_n the_o other_o end_n be_v as_o i_o apprehend_v that_o i_o may_v live_v to_o take_v care_n for_o a_o child_n and_o to_o engage_v some_o honest_a man_n to_o take_v he_o which_o be_v partly_o effect_v another_o end_n i_o apprehend_v be_v that_o i_o may_v take_v notice_n of_o the_o answer_n of_o the_o prayer_n of_o other_o again_o have_v be_v take_v up_o in_o my_o thought_n more_o than_o ordinary_a in_o and_o about_o the_o difference_n of_o the_o time_n among_o the_o saint_n in_o these_o late_a year_n in_o and_o about_o some_o circumstance_n about_o religion_n as_o i_o apprehend_v and_o i_o time_n her_o opinion_n concern_v the_o difference_n of_o the_o present_a time_n be_v persuade_v that_o the_o circumstance_n be_v nothing_o in_o comparison_n of_o the_o substance_n some_o say_v this_o be_v the_o way_n and_o some_o say_v that_o be_v the_o way_n some_o be_v for_o a_o separate_a church_n other_o for_o a_o mix_a church_n first_o this_o i_o be_v persuade_v that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o salvation_n by_o a_o work_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o his_o people_n but_o i_o apprehend_v that_o the_o society_n of_o god_n people_n be_v very_o useful_a and_o that_o those_o of_o the_o independent_a society_n as_o they_o be_v call_v do_v make_v a_o improvement_n of_o the_o society_n of_o the_o saint_n more_o than_o those_o that_o be_v out_o of_o that_o way_n do_v for_o the_o apprehend_v that_o that_o scripture_n be_v direct_v to_o the_o saint_n in_o general_a and_o not_o to_o congregation_n in_o particular_a then_o they_o say_v they_o press_v not_o their_o covenant_n as_o absolute_o covenant_n her_o opinion_n concern_v enter_v into_o church-fellowship_n by_o a_o covenant_n necessary_a but_o leave_v it_o as_o a_o voluntary_a act_n then_o i_o begin_v to_o think_v whether_o a_o voluntary_a vow_n be_v lawful_a to_o be_v take_v in_o matter_n of_o religion_n which_o i_o find_v lawful_a in_o scripture_n as_o david_n do_v vow_n against_o his_o sin_n and_o it_o be_v put_v upon_o record_n in_o scripture_n that_o if_o we_o vow_v to_o god_n we_o must_v not_o defer_v to_o pay_v it_o then_o i_o begin_v to_o think_v that_o the_o society_n of_o god_n people_n be_v useful_a and_o if_o it_o can_v not_o be_v enjoy_v note_n note_n without_o covenant_v its_o just_a with_o god_n to_o give_v we_o up_o to_o covenant_v for_o the_o hardness_n of_o our_o heart_n who_o will_v not_o willing_o do_v it_o without_o this_o and_o i_o conceive_v that_o david_n can_v not_o come_v up_o to_o duty_n as_o he_o will_v till_o he_o come_v to_o covenant_v but_o i_o begin_v to_o think_v wheher_n this_o covenant_n so_o much_o press_v be_v my_o duty_n viz._n to_o join_v in_o a_o way_n of_o covenant_n for_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o the_o society_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o after_o seek_v of_o god_n he_o give_v i_o this_o place_n if_o thou_o do_v not_o vow_v thou_o do_v not_o it_o her_o determination_n upon_o it_o sin_n and_o it_o satisfy_v i_o that_o i_o may_v enjoy_v the_o
