exercise_v the_o office_n of_o the_o magistrate_n but_o to_o show_v himself_o the_o saviour_n of_o the_o world_n wherefore_o his_o office_n be_v rather_o to_o absolve_v then_o to_o condemn_v notwithstanding_o he_o hinder_v not_o the_o magistrate_n neither_o take_v his_o office_n upon_o he_o but_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o the_o judge_n to_o have_v condemn_v this_o woman_n of_o adultery_n to_o be_v stone_v to_o death_n according_a to_o the_o law_n he_o also_o save_v the_o thief_n which_o be_v hang_v with_o he_o and_o yet_o he_o reproove_v not_o the_o judge_n for_o punish_v he_o &_o respect_v not_o but_o that_o the_o thief_n shall_v suffer_v &_o feel_v the_o pain_n that_o he_o have_v deserve_v before_o man_n but_o they_o which_o favour_n whoredom_n &_o adultery_n will_v reply_v that_o we_o be_v under_o the_o law_n of_o grace_n &_o that_o the_o sharpness_n of_o the_o law_n be_v abolish_v i_o answer_v that_o god_n never_o do_v withdraw_v his_o grace_n from_o his_o elect_a but_o that_o they_o have_v feel_v the_o same_o always_o at_o need_n albeit_o that_o now_o it_o be_v more_o plain_o manifest_v by_o the_o come_n of_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n and_o by_o the_o preach_n of_o his_o gospel_n and_o also_o he_o be_v not_o so_o pitiful_a and_o merciful_a but_o that_o he_o be_v also_o just_a and_o do_v command_v the_o judge_n to_o do_v justice_n and_o judgement_n in_o all_o time_n moreover_o if_o jesus_n christ_n by_o the_o forgiveness_n that_o he_o pronounce_v unto_o the_o adulterer_n do_v put_v away_o the_o law_n that_o do_v condemn_v the_o adulterer_n unto_o bodily_a pain_n even_o untoo_o death_n see_v that_o under_o the_o law_n of_o severity_n as_o they_o call_v it_o the_o thief_n be_v not_o so_o sore_o to_o be_v punish_v as_o the_o adulterer_n it_o shall_v follow_v that_o under_o the_o law_n of_o grace_n as_o they_o call_v it_o the_o thief_n ought_v not_o to_o be_v so_o grievous_o punish_v as_o the_o adulterer_n otherwise_o the_o law_n of_o grace_n shall_v bring_v favour_n unto_o the_o most_o wicked_a and_o shall_v show_v severity_n that_o be_v not_o wont_a to_o be_v use_v unto_o they_o which_o be_v not_o so_o wicked_a &_o thus_o the_o law_n of_o grace_n shall_v deal_v sharp_o with_o they_o that_o be_v wont_a to_o be_v more_o gentle_o enter_v under_o the_o law_n of_o severity_n but_o it_o will_v be_v answer_v that_o it_o be_v expedient_a so_o to_o do_v because_o the_o thief_n be_v more_o hurtful_a to_o the_o common_a wealth_n than_o adulterer_n i_o answer_v that_o man_n wisdom_n do_v so_o judge_v it_o for_o man_n void_a punishment_n they_o shall_v be_v more_o despise_v than_o the_o mire_n in_o the_o street_n we_o will_v fly_v further_o from_o they_o than_o from_o the_o most_o stink_a dounghil_n of_o the_o world_n we_o will_v abhor_v they_o more_o than_o the_o most_o dangerous_a pestilemce_n we_o will_v evermore_o have_v they_o in_o execration_n and_o we_o will_v never_o name_v they_o but_o to_o their_o great_a shame_n and_o dishonour_n for_o as_o solomon_n say_v his_o reproach_n ought_v not_o to_o be_v put_v out_o and_o he_o give_v the_o reason_n hereof_o in_o this_o verse_n follow_v when_o he_o say_v for_o prayer_n of_o friend_n nor_o present_n nor_o gift_n although_o they_o be_v great_a and_o precious_a which_o will_v move_v he_o to_o turn_v from_o his_o anger_n as_o solomon_n do_v declare_v it_o by_o till_o the_o adulterer_n be_v pursue_v but_o when_o there_o be_v any_o discover_v they_o shall_v make_v diligent_a information_n to_o follow_v they_o with_o all_o severity_n they_o will_v follow_v the_o zeal_n of_o phineas_n but_o in_o stead_n to_o have_v such_o a_o zeal_n the_o great_a part_n of_o judge_n 22._o num._n 25._o 7._o psal_n 106._o 30._o 1._o sam._n 2._o 22._o belike_o unto_o elie._n the_o chief_a cause_n for_o the_o which_o man_n pass_v not_o to_o commit_v adultery_n and_o whoredom_n and_o also_o that_o judge_n do_v not_o punish_v whoremonger_n and_o adulterer_n as_o they_o deserve_v be_v for_o that_o every_o man_n desire_v to_o have_v his_o carnal_a pleasure_n and_o therefore_o must_v bear_v with_o his_o gossip_n &_o all_o come_v from_o the_o contempt_n of_o god_n word_n solomon_n have_v well_o show_v it_o here_o above_o in_o the_o twenty_o verse_n when_o to_o detest_v whoredom_n and_o adultery_n he_o admonish_v the_o child_n to_o obey_v their_o father_n
