sin_n be_v itself_o a_o shadow_n of_o death_n yea_o death_n itself_o and_o they_o who_o be_v dead_a in_o sin_n and_o trespass_n will_v do_v their_o best_a that_o their_o sin_n may_v be_v no_o more_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n idol_n have_v eye_n and_o see_v not_o but_o themselves_o be_v see_v by_o every_o eye_n jehovah_n the_o true_a god_n see_v but_o have_v no_o eye_n neither_o can_v any_o eye_n see_v he_o thus_o he_o be_v a_o god_n hide_v himself_o in_o the_o spirituality_n of_o his_o own_o be_v which_o gross_a idol_n can_v the_o follow_a word_n in_o that_o text_n in_o the_o prophet_n seem_v to_o make_v out_o this_o sense_n vers_n 16._o they_o shall_v be_v ashamed_a and_o confound_v all_o of_o they_o that_o be_v all_o idol-maker_n and_o idol-worshipper_n shall_v be_v ashamed_a and_o confound_v they_o shall_v go_v to_o confusion_n together_o that_o be_v maker_n of_o idol_n now_o as_o god_n hide_v himself_o both_o these_o way_n sometime_o voluntary_o or_o in_o his_o will_n he_o resolve_v to_o hide_v himself_o from_o his_o people_n as_o david_n complain_v psal_n 13.1_o how_o long_o will_v thou_o hide_v thy_o face_n from_o i_o always_o in_o the_o spirituality_n of_o his_o own_o nature_n so_o sinful_a man_n will_v be_v hide_v too_o though_o they_o can_v be_v hide_v as_o to_o their_o nature_n that_o be_v corporeal_a yet_o they_o will_v hide_v themselves_o in_o their_o will_n their_o wit_n be_v bend_v upon_o it_o to_o make_v cover_n and_o shadow_n for_o themselves_o that_o they_o may_v keep_v out_o of_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n or_o that_o they_o may_v not_o be_v see_v of_o he_o who_o can_v be_v see_v but_o be_v in_o that_o sense_n a_o god_n that_o hide_v himself_o and_o as_o man_n can_v hide_v themselves_o from_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n so_o not_o second_o from_o the_o revenge_a power_n of_o god_n this_o follow_v the_o former_a for_o he_o that_o will_v keep_v out_o of_o the_o sight_n of_o another_o do_v it_o usual_o that_o he_o may_v be_v hide_v from_o that_o danger_n and_o evil_n which_o he_o fear_v that_o other_o may_v bring_v upon_o he_o thus_o it_o be_v with_o the_o sinner_n he_o have_v his_o hide_v place_n he_o will_v withdraw_v himself_o from_o the_o revenge_a power_n of_o god_n like_o a_o malefactor_n who_o be_v unwilling_a to_o appear_v and_o come_v to_o the_o bar_n before_o his_o judge_n but_o all_o in_o vain_a mere_a natural_a or_o unregenerate_a man_n be_v much_o hide_v from_o themselves_o that_o be_v they_o see_v little_a what_o themselves_o be_v they_o know_v not_o their_o own_o condition_n nor_o upon_o what_o term_n purpose_n nor_o shadow_n of_o death_n wherein_o he_o may_v hide_v himself_o hence_o note_v first_o it_o be_v usual_a for_o and_o natural_a to_o sinner_n to_o seek_v hide_v place_n when_o elihu_n say_v there_o be_v no_o darkness_n etc._n etc._n he_o plain_o intimate_v that_o it_o be_v the_o design_n and_o business_n of_o sinner_n to_o make_v darkness_n to_o hide_v themselves_o it_o be_v as_o much_o or_o no_o much_o more_o if_o he_o be_v able_a also_o to_o bear_v it_o as_o in_o this_o case_n it_o be_v he_o have_v no_o cause_n at_o all_o to_o desire_v a_o review_n of_o it_o thus_o it_o be_v say_v elihu_n in_o all_o the_o deal_n of_o god_n with_o man_n he_o will_v not_o lay_v upon_o man_n more_o than_o be_v right_a that_o he_o shall_v enter_v into_o judgement_n with_o god_n to_o enter_v or_o
